Kickoff takes place at 5:30pm GMT/12:30pm EST/7:30am HST. Television coverage from Anfield provided by NBC in the States.

Well, shit. We’re not good, and I have no idea what Emery is thinking at any given time. Liverpool are looking legitimately excellent these days. We’ll probably turn up and smash them.

    Up the Arsenal.

Had the Gunners done the job midweek I wouldn't have card about this particular outcome in the grand scale, but the concept of coming through the week with just 1 point is sad. Especially given the surging we're seeing at ManU and S***s.

Best realistic hope for me is to at least show some offensive punch and get some goals. Arsenal is woeful at the back and will be until reinforcements arrive, so in the vein of thinking about the overall season concentrate on building up the consistency and potency of the attack. If someone is going to beat you at least make them need 3-4 goals to do it.

I honestly believe we can score 2-3 goals in this fixture, but man, I fear we could easily give up 6. Leno needs to get everything right for 90+ for us to even have a chance at points on Saturday.

They may be better than us, but we've got a much much better website!! ;)

Seriously, I was over there trying to lookup what AOC's recovery status is. Went looking for a page/tab called "Team News" or "Injuries" or similar... nothing doing... there's no page for injuries?? How can that be... I'll just search for it... but alas there's not even a search button on their site. OK, so then I went to AOC's profile under First Team and all they said was that he did his knee in the UCL Semis last season.

I ultimately found my current update elsewhere (Liverpool Echo) and the good news for Ox is that he just started running again. But the bad news is that he's still not expected back this season.

So, even if they whip our butts, we can take pride in knowing that our online content can run circles around them.

p.s. Emery would do well to give our boys legs some serious time off, along with some game-specific tactics/drills, then give them the John Belushi speech just beforehand.

You can analyze lots of players and newfangled stats, but here's one that was mentioned on today's Arsecast:

Goals scored: LFC 43, AFC 41
Goals conceded: LFC 7, AFC 25

Do we need to go any further?

Well, we’re running extremely hot on finishing. So...maybe?

(There is an argument to be made that we will overperform our chance creation because we have Auba and Laca and finishing skill matters. Hence the maybe.)

Emery may get a touchline ban for kicking a water bottle which hit a Brighton fan. The main question is will they delay the decision so that he can be on the bench at Anfield.

A team that scores at will vs a team that can not keep a clean sheet

    This will be ugly

Yeah. I wonder if anyone at the club thought of sending a late Xmas gift to Anfield... a truck full of lasagna.

Imagine having a defense as bad as ours going to Anfield trying to win a match 1-0.

I think Emery will try that tomorrow.

I hope we don’t get destroyed.

Ozil out tomorrow with another phantom training injury. I love Ozil, he's one of my favorite players...but the whole thing has gotten pretty old and it's time to try and move on.

He injured his knee in the first half at Brighton. Aggravated it during training today.

Bet that hurt. In exchange I'll tout the design of the stands for your new ground. Nice to see someone making the effort to accommodate the fans properly.

I still think he limited as ********. But he has a team that is suited to his strengths. He don’t know how to change matches up.

We aren’t capabale of bunching it up is my point. You can only beat Liverpool by attacking.

Sure, but nothing was said post match about an injury and Emery was repeatedly asked and he wasn't on an injury sheet during the week. He plays once or twice every 2 months and somehow gets hurt and misses weeks again.

Team news says Monreal, Mustafi & Bellerin are all "being assessed" for tomorrow.

I think Emery might risk one of them. Monreal or Mustafi I'd guess.

I think we'll see Mustafi and Bellerin. Lich against Liverpool would be terrible.

Either a 3-1 loss or we pull out some bullshit and win 5-4.
