Please help us continue to Unite & Strengthen by bringing your full-throated enthusiasm to our events and getting others onboard the AO train.[/FONT]

Stay tuned after the World Cup...we're in the process of compiling ideas for a t-shirt and/or scarf.

as of now, there are no plans for a bus to NY as it is a mid-week game and the numbers probably would not be there... i am sure that we will have quite a few guys go up tho, and id recommend using the facebook page to try to arrange a carpool

what were you thinking in terms of tifo?

Attention DC soccer fans! The AFDC (a nonprofit dedicated to French language and culture) is hosting a roundtable discussion this Friday, June 20 at 7pm entitled "Let's Talk Les Bleus," that will explore the cultural role of soccer, the global phenomenon that is the World Cup, and the variety of nationalism we see in countries such as France, the US and Switzerland. Moderated by Lindsay Krasnoff (sports historian and author of "The Making of Les Bleus") and featuring Washington Post journalists Cindy Boren and Clinton Yates; Josh Novikoff of DCist.com; Sylvain Cornevaux of the AFDC; and David Best of the Embassy of Switzerland. All are welcome to join!
