I am not sure how many people this applies to around here but those of you who have Sling TV and are Mac users can now use the website on Safari.
Has anybody around here tried this thing? https://worldsoccertalk.com/2019/12...-fans-another-low-cost-streaming-alternative/
Haven't heard of it until now. Fanatiz is cheaper anyways and has GOLTV. This Vidgo lacks that and TUDN...
DAZN over here doesn't have much soccer anyways. They have a redzone-esque MLB channel but that's about it
Playstation Vue just shut down. Arguably, the best streaming service for sports fans. Time to look for something else, although no other service provides as complete list of channels.
Yeah...you gotta combine services now. I think the most complete service ATM is probably FuboTV + Sling Orange
I'm on FuboTV + ESPN+....Very little from Europe and North America not covered there. And The Honduran league is available for free outside of the US. So about $60 a month.
If anyone comes across any Sling deals, please share. I subbed to the international sports package last year for $45 for a year but that sub is running out at the end of the month and the best rate they are offering now is $60. That's not horrible but I only use it for Libertadores, Sudamericana, and international friendlies. I can't remember the last time I watched anything else on BeIN and the rest of the channels don't feature content that interests me.
That's probably as cheap as you can get it. The next cheaper is Fanatiz. If you can VPN to Canada, then Fubo Canada is the next one after that
I have the Sling World Sports package for all the Bein Channels, plus some cricket and random sailing/outdoor stuff. Only $10 a month, or $60 a year.
$60 seems to be the best they can do. Here's a general report from the standpoint of an obsessive when it comes to Libertadores and Sudamericana: Sling finally had sound on BeIN Connect channels for all games (or all games that I have watched--still have about 4 to go) but the image on Connect continues to pixilate with digital disruptions about once every 5+ minutes (best case scenario) or once every minute (worst case scenario). Here is what I'm talking about (Mineros-Luqueno Spoiler) Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Sometimes the digital flares are merely sparks and sometimes it is as bad as the video I pasted. I also subscribe to Fanatiz. Fanatiz does not have these same image problems, but: 1. If Sling's image is clean (i.e., free from these problems) then Sling's image looks better than Fanatiz's image. Fanatiz's image has problems with blotchy looking grass when the camera pans. And Fanatiz continues to blame the TV channels for various problems (e.g., I have found GolTV to be unwatchable because of the image speeding up and slowing down). 2. Two weeks in a row now Fanatiz only had Tuesday games on demand. They had some engineering screw up and none of the games from Wednesday or Thursday were archived. So, I'm paying for two different services and even between the two I can't actually watch all of the games free from bulls***. If I want to avoid major image problems with Connect then I have to use other means to watch HD games. This leaves me on the fence about renewing either/both of these service and highlights how chord cutting can be cheaper than satellite or cable but unless there are storms I don't have these problems with DTV. I'm basically paying to only be guaranteed that BeIN and BeIÑ are good quality.
https://www.engadget.com/amp/2020/02/27/youtube-tv-drops-fox-regional-sports-channels/ No more Fox regionals on YouTube TV.
I did the same thing with Sling last year at $45, and my year ends on Thursday so I checked my account page to see what it would renew at. It showed $45 again for the "legacy" world sports package, so I made sure it renewed. Actually it ended up $53 with taxes and crap but $4.50/month is great for me since I watch La Liga and Ligue 1 as well, plus I like the portability of it as I can watch something at home and then pick up where I left off on the go on my phone or tablet.
And in even bigger Fubo news, reports that they've finally reached a carriage deal with Disney for ABC/ESPN, etc. So for those wanting to cut the cord, FuboTV is the hands down winner for sports fans.
Thanks for the info. May need to switch over as I've just read the news that YTTV got Viacom which means a price bump is likely. Will compare when they both probably bump up.
