    Green
    Richards Lescott King Baines
    Bentey Reo-Coker Jenes Young
    Defoe Owen

Its poor, but the majority of the players from the top four love Champions league and have lost sight of how to play with passion.

    What team can you make!

Rooney might aswell die when it comes to the tournaments. He got us out of the euros with his red card might aswell of not bothered getting fit for the world cup it just ment he took a fit strikers place. i enjoy his want to get there but he must be sensible and realise that he is not protected by the united faithful when in an england shirt and no ref is afraid of giving him a red card.
The point of the thread is to see what else is out there not praise the poor england boys who have got us in a right pickle.

The roonster was money in euro 2004.
In 2006 he was about 60% fit after breaking his foot.
    I wont question his commitment.

I know its a bit of fun but some of those teams look absolutely rubbish to me. They'd get slaughtered at international level. I think its too easy to say that players at Champions League clubs don't 'play with passion'. (I'm a Liverpool fan) Absolute nonsense. Did Reo-Coker play with passion in every game when he was at West Ham? He was as culpable as anyone in getting Pardew sacked and Curbishley finally showed him the door. The only passion Joey Barton shows is for putting people in hospital and stamping on their knackers.

I don't see many english players showing the kind of passion and pride for playing football that Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch do. I know Carragher retired but he was being picked for squads and never playing. You can understand his frustration and he wasn't getting any younger anyway.

Interesting that all 3 of the players you name play for Pool. Carragher dropped the ball.. His chance would've came if he had persevered a little more and stayed with the squad.

Passion and pride are both quality characteristics, shown by more than just the players you mentioned for England, but they only get you so far. Every player must have a inner fire in them, take responsiblity for their play, and help to lead their team to victory..

There have been plenty of players in that boat before and there will be plenty in the future, yet most will still make themselves available for selection.

He broke his foot in the Euro's you bertie. And England went out of the World Cup in 2006 because they were colelctively a bag of shite.

Rooney with 1 leg > Every English striker.
