Do you honestly not wonder if a good part of his current physical condition wasn't due to his own fault ?

I think his physical condition has to do with his age. The guy is 39 yrs old. Although he showed glimpses of the Rivaldo of old with incredible plays he just couldn’t produce it on a consistent basis. Nevertheless, I still think a big team in Brasil will pick him up for a 1 year contract.

I am talking about Ronaldo. Rivaldo is in great shape for his age.

Damn, really impressive at his age. What is he 38 now? Just goes to show when you have the love for the game, you never want to stop playing. Rivaldo actually did very well at SP this past year.

Exactly, then the money came into the picture:p

I like Rivaldo though, he is on a good level for a 39-year old.

Does anybody know why Rivaldo hasn't retired? Who wants to play in Angola! He had to make good money when he was playing for Barcelona.

I really miss the old Rivaldo that lit up the champions league upto 2006. Never seen such an elegant player in the last decade, and for me i rate Rivaldo higher then Ronaldinho and even Zidane.

The old charm of that competition is long gone for me, and coincedentally around the same time all the elegant maestro's and legends like Kahn, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Riquelme, Nedved, and numerous other greats that really added to their individual teams and important ties, retired or packed up to east asia or somewhere.

The competition is alot more predictable nowadays. :(

I don't think money is all the motivation. Rivaldo has plenty of money. Rivaldo would probably not be playing much the new season with SP, and he wants to play, plain and simple. And he received this offer, so why not? Rivaldo already has a strong financial and friendly relationship with Mogi Mirim, and yes, he will probably end his career there.
The best of luck to maestro Rivaldo but we will be seeing him soon.

Urge any of you to watch that ^^, one of the best quality highlight vid's of him i've seen. Purely focused on his playmaking/passing ability. As opposed to his insane dribbling/goalscoring herorics.
