That's not how FFP works... if they spend 200M and then get 200M a year later, I don't think it matters where the original 200M came from. If I have that wrong, someone let me know. My understanding was that PSG could always get out of this fix with a few sales this summer, as long as one of them was Neymar for big money.

even with that as the rationale, how do they cover the cost of Mbappe plus the wages of Neymar and Mbabbe last year? All that is probably 350M.... (atop the normal, and one presumes equivalent to Liverpool, Arsenal, etc costs of running a football team and paying a squad of internationals).

Mbappe was a loan with a buy option. Yes I'm sure the wages of Mbappe and Neymar were high, but PSG has more revenue than Liverpool -- since Neymar will essentially pay his transfer fee back, they really are only spending huge on Mbappe, which is equivalent to 2 huge buys for LFC. Which is something PSG can technically afford, I believe.

But yeah, check out the FFP rules maybe? I'm sure there may be some answers there for how PSG plan to get out of this jackpot they've put themselves in... maybe they won't get out of it? I dunno. I really only meant that getting their money back for Neymar, a guy who I'm pretty sure has publicly said he isn't going back there multiple times, is a pretty good deal for them... and goes a long way toward getting them out of trouble. I think.

Anybody got fresh ideas re: ridding myself of this Amazon gift card scam malware that's on BS? I got rid of it on my phone previously by clearing history and website data regularly, but it seems there is a new version of it and I now literally cannot open BS on my phone without it popping up. Very annoying.
