First race of the season in the books - 10th in age group and 100th overall (out of ~3,200). Heat index was 106 when I finished and they shortened the race for the last 1,400 people to a 5k because of the conditions. A big four week training block (~25 hrs/wk of training) and then taper time until my first Ironman.
That's big- even for down here! Wildlife rangers in the Northern Territory have succeeded in capturing a monster 4.71 metre crocodile weighing 600kg that had been lurking near a boat ramp for a decade. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...weighing-whopping-600kg-decade-long-hunt.html

Ronwanko's apparentl;y gone, but I don't get this... Don't PSG have unlimited monies? Why would they allow either Mbappe or rolling man to leave Paris for Madrid? Hazard I could see, as Chelsea is a waste of his time next year Ronaldo's move to Juventus could create a domino effect throughout the rest of the transfer window as Real Madrid likely will look to procure a top-ranked talent to replace him. PSG's Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea's Eden Hazard have all been linked with moves to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Neymar. I still believe to this day that Neymar left Barca so he could end up at real because he couldn’t go directly.
Makes sense. PSG might have money but they are trying to avoid UEFA punishment aren't they? Getting 200M for a guy that is throwing a fit wanting to leave is pretty good business.
If that is the case, it makes me like both Neymar and RM even less...which I wasn't sure was possible...
Put a warning on it. Take it down. Doesn't matter to me. My computer went on freak out mode as it detected something bad on the link - MS support had to walk me through what to do in order to get back up and working.
I'm sorry that you had trouble with the link. Kaspersky says that it's a safe site, but you know them Russians.
funny bugger. Triathlon is a fairly new "sport" and wasnt done in my day. But my daughter got involved in NZ prolly 25/30 years back. One "race" I did do a couple of times when in the Paras was one that is still done a couple of times a year over the mountains in Wales. Paras, SAS and Comandos mainly. 3 SAS guys died on it last year. Heat exhausion And the winter one the year before 2 Marine Comandos died. Hypothermia. It's claimed more over the years. The format has changed a bit over the years but back some 60 years ago. And yes I do remember!!!! It went like this. Basically it was just a fast 50 mile hike (shuffle) wearing an 80lb pack, a rifle without a sling. In under 24 hours over steep terrain. Simple shit compared with a modern triathlon. I can still feel the pain of the last uphill finish. I'd love to be able to join you, it's something I would have wanted to do. I envy you. I used to do time trials on my bike. Usually 25 milers on weekends sometimes longer. I could run and loved to swim. Hell, sign me up I get pissed these days, I just don't like getting old. The best I do at 80 is take my dog for his beach run, I jog with him through the dunes to the beach. Whine, whine, whine.
I was just gonna ask that - wasn';t that the one where extreme heat exhaustion mixed with extreme cold at the scarp tops causes people to die from hypothermia?
not if they have also recently just paid $200 Million for him? I don't get it? How can that help at all to show as "fair play dealing" on their books? Where did the $200 million + come from in the first place? Are they selling tickets at 30K a go??
