From a governance perspective, should the foul on Salah be retrospectively judged? Or even during the match by VAR? In my view was as bad as a scissor tackle.

 

I think they'll look at the recordings and give a 12 month ban on Ramos.
Then they'll say that benzema's goal was offside and deny It and reverse the result because of foul play and award the CL to Liverpool.

Then you'll wake in the morning.

 

It’s not just about this game, but an effort to reduce undetected but serious foul play, in particular cases where injury could be anticipated.

 

Now that I've graduated, I've got to find a job to pay off the student loans. It's been years since I went to a job interview, so I'm taking a class at the local career center on networking and interview skills. Never thought I'd be doing something like that in my mid-40s.

Dunno, just seems to me this was a case of the official not doing his job very well. Ramos is a world class defender, he's also got a well-known record for rough play. Just keep an eye on him, give him the quick yellow for the Salah challenge and let him know there will be 0 tolerance for this type of play. You still lose Salah, unfortunately but you deal effectively with Ramos' dark side. No VAR needed in this case.

 

Now that the football season is over we're all waiting for more football to begin again.
