The funny thing about that is that the guy tried to foul him and 95% missed and then th eother idiot took about two seconds to register what had occurred and that he was of the mind-bent to dive in such situations.....

anyway - i hate players like this ....

all the mascots should leave the pitch when the players start shaking hands. too often they make the handshakes awkward for everyone.

(BTW I know they're just kids, I'm not blaming them!)

thoughts?? anyone give a crap either way??

    next random thought ....

there are too many pre-game "minute of silence" type things being added to recognize recent events or anniversaries of events. originally a very good idea,

totally overdone now. even worse than the pre-game stuff is when during the game the crowd starts applauding at minute X to recognize a deceased player's shirt number. or, in some cases, the death of a local supporter,

to clarify: my beef with these is that they are becoming so regular now - and are proliferating to recognize increasingly-obscure events - that they will soon lose all impact. kinda like politicians saying "our prayers are with [whoever]" (meaningless and trite PC-speak, usualyy from people who don't pray for anything other than themselves of course).

Mascots like clowns should just be shot, they're just cringworthy and embarrassing.

I was just thinking back to Liverpool when I started supporting them. Blue collar before blue collar was a term. The you didn't see a woman outside of the owners section. Flat caps, donkey jackets and boots.
Bit of a change these days and not always for the better.

I agree, but I'm not talking about the costumed idiots, I'm talking about the little kids who come out with teams and line up for the intro to the game then (for some reason) are told to go down the line shaking (or not) everyone's hand.

Wait a minute - I think they are talking about the young kids that walk out on the field with footballers (to show a sense of caring?)

Those kids should NOT be shot - the other " 'Merican mascots", well they...

As would I. But most men went to Anfield to watch a footy match and try and relieve the stress of a 50 hour work week.

Trunp is just a manifestation of 25+ years of people being told highly consolidated "truths" via an insular talk-radio world and an out of control internet babblespeak
(which - largely aren't true at all)
It's really easy to manipulate ideas and make them seem bad if you aren't actually engaging in an investigate process to determine the truth-value of any given idea.

It would astonish a lot of Americans (many of the type who voted for Trump) that many of the best run (and most well off) societies are run on and underpinned by actual-socialist policies. And that in educated, civilized societies (not the third world), these things do no harm, and much good.

It benefits groups who would otherwise lose higher %'s of their wealth (and, more importantly, their stocks' wealth value) to taxation and corporate taxation to have these memetic theories worrying the population and fearing the kind of garbage that trump rants on about.
He's nothing but a charlatan-opportunist driven by an over-fed ego .... But if people are stupid enough to always buy the simplest answer (and a lot of people are) they'll get fooled every time......

The other day I realized how long its been since I've posted here, so I popped in today to catch myself up on all the threads.

I've realized why I stopped using this site as much, and its because of the atrocious UI change.

I've also realized that the last time I posted here I said just about the same damn thing.

Going to try and be more of a regular again anyway though. This has been too great of a season and I've been AWOL for too much of it.
