Where does a guy that young even hear the song Sugar, Sugar by the Archies? And why would he want to?
Big local football news here. The fate of local club Indy Eleven has been very uncertain, as the North American Soccer League has been imploding (since the end of last season it has lost two clubs, Edmonton and San Francisco, has effectively lost a third, Puerto Rico, and has been denied Division 2 sanctioning by USSF). This week the Eleven announced that they will be leaving the NASL and joining the United Soccer League, which this year will be the only sanctioned Division 2 league in the US. The move will create local rivalries with Cincinnati and Louisville (this past year in the NASL, the closest geographic rivals were North Carolina FC and the New York Cosmos, hardly neighbors) and should provide more stability than the flailing NASL ever could. Intriguingly (and oddly) there is talk, unconfirmed as yet, that the club will play at least some of its home games in Lucas Oil Stadium, the convertible roofed stadium that is home to the NFL Indianapolis Colts. Indy played the last four years in Carroll Stadium, a college track and field stadium built in the early 1980s in anticipation of the 1987 Pan-American games. Attending games at Carroll was a fairly miserable experience--the seats were benches, mostly without backs, and spaced for 1980s-sized butts (Hoosier butts are substantially wider in the 2010s), the track kept fans at a distance from the action, the one-sided design of the stadium limited the amount of noise that the crowd could generate, and amenities were virtually non-existant (and by "amenities" I mean things like functioning toilets). But Lucas Oil Stadium is huge, and if Indy might occasionally be able to draw more than the 9,000 or so that packed into Carroll Stadium on average last season, they likely won't be able to do so much as fill the lower bowl (except maybe against Cincinnati). I was at a Chelsea-Inter preseason match at LOS in 2013, one that allegedly drew 42,000, and the place felt empty and dead; I can only imagine how much more so it will feel with 10,000 or so in attendance for minor league soccer. But at least we'll still have a club.
So there I was at lunch watching the Dakar Rally wondering what has happened to Andres Villas-Boas. Remember him managing Chelse and Spurs? (Not really) Well there he was on Telly with his Toyota stuck into a sand dune as a chopper came to fly him to hospital with back injuries. Seems Andes is multi talented and has the same sort of luck in many sports. He's managing Shanghai in the Chinese league. In between car crashes that is.
Its this musical comedian apparently. https://www.richysheehy.com/ But its a great song. Apparently George is planning to play Sugar Sugar at the game on Sunday. Will be boss to hear the kop sing that.

I don't really get time anymore. I wish I did, life just kinda takes over. I also realised that I mostly have no clue. Something you all tried to point out many years a go.
Scholesy! Sounds like what happens to a lot of folks - I have maybe 3-4 sites tops that I utilize regularly on a given day now. But Klopp sure has made watching the Reds fun (well not the defense)!
As it reaches downward to rip off ze testicles!! Imagine standing on that bugger in shallow water - you'd be both toeless and dead of fright!
