He will anchor our backline for 10-12 years. He is worth it and is exactly what we need to lead our rebuilding of the backline along with the youngsters we are in the process of bringing in. He is the best young CB to come on the market in years.
Sorry, but a 19 yr old who's had one good season is not worth 20mil a season. And what makes you think he'll stay for 10 years? That shit doesn't happen these days
Paying that much a year for this kid will disrupt the rest of the players and will ******** up our wage bill entirely, as phat said, that is just not feasible
I’m excited about the Rabiot signing, kid can ball and has great skills, will it translate to Serie a? I’m sure it will, if he stays healthy and keeps his head in the right place he is going to make a lot of people look silly. I like his dribbling skills and also passing skills. Also he is physical so that’s a big plus. We need to move on from older and slower players.
True but his value will keep going up, he is a big defender with good tackling skills and can pass the ball well like Bonucci. I’d say he will be a work in progress and Juve will probably loan him somewhere.
Di Marzio and Romano are saying that Juve is in pole position to sign De Ligt, he’s agreed to personal terms and Paratici will fly to Amsterdam today to hammer out a deal for him.
I hope not, think he can snatch a starting place honestly. Defensively he's already ahead of Bonucci IMO.
Demiral, Romero and De Ligt are probably the top 3 young defenders in the world. They would be set for a good while. Added to Spinazzola and Rugani, plus the mentoring by Chiello and Bonuccci will make Juve's back line very strong.
Reading between the lines a bit, I think that is a reason we have a real shot at DeLigt. He wants to become the best CB in the world and he knows Juve is the best place to hone his skills. With Chiellio and Bonucci, and if we are smart Barzag as some sort of coaching role for defenders, we can provide him something no other club on his radar can do.
This actually makes some sense: https://www.football-italia.net/139742/juve-drop-pogba-de-ligt-and-rabiot
Just the 20m/year must be wrong. I'm also thinking Cancelo shouldn't be sold, I don't understand why he would be sold.
I was thinking about it and we never really got to see the full potential of the squad last year. We lost Costa and Cuadrado who were essential to Juve's/Alegri lineup choices. How many times did we get to watch CR7 + Costa + Dybala + Cuadrado. Not to mention Pjaca, whats going on with him?
Max tried to shoehorn him into the Pirlo role. He is NOT Pirlo (who is?). he should be playing further up the field with a "protector/regista" behind him. I thought we brought in Can to do this so he could play behind the strikers.. The injuries did have a major impact last season, esp. in the CL knockout stages.
Pjaca is with Fiorentina and has been injured for like 2 years, hes never going to amount to anything anyway
Cancelo is being sold because hes a defensive liability and has a shit attitude from what I've heard. I honestly don't care, he made way too many high profile errors. We're getting more than we paid, thats good enough for me
https://www.rt.com/sport/462462-de-ligt-to-join-juventus/ Big money for 80 mil. Let’s hope the salary is closer to 15 mil...
Latest rumor has Ronaldo in a false 9 role, so no need for a traditional one although not sure where that would leave Higuain. I would think Khedira would work well with Sarrismo.
Di Marzio, Agresti and others are saying De Ligt will get €12 million a season with Juve paying Ajax around €70 million. If so, that's a great deal. De Ligt and Chiellini starting together in the middle of defense, keep Bonucci, Demiral and Romero, sell Rugani, the CB's are set.
