Can we have it cover the whole season like the last one? The 2018/19 Season Preview, Discussion & Review Thread [R] Was handy to have somewhere that captured the whole season. I know @Ashur is against this - but that is even more reason as we don't want to turn this place into one-nil
i thought about that as well. just a nice thread to encompass start to finish. we can always change the title if that's what people want. we'll see how it plays out. i'm also wondering if to bother with this given we usually do match threads for preseason games but maybe there will be separate discussions here. let's see how it plays out for now

Ogden really hasn't been holding back as of late in his assessment of the club, as reflected by his interviews and articles. And sadly, he appears to be right: since supporting the club from 1993 on, this is by far the worst I've felt about our chances going into the season. We should almost be a lock for top 4, with Chelsea looking at a possible transfer ban this season, plus being led by a still very young manager. Arsenal still haven't made a move this window, don't have much money at all to spend. And on top of that, it looks like they could lose one of their most promising young players in Torreira, who appears to be desperate to leave (it explains his noticeable dip in performance as the season went on). All those factors should mean, in theory that after City, Pool and Spurs, we should be able to nail down at least 4th spot: but not only are on par with our immediate rivals, but depending on moves they might make, I'm concerned about clubs like Leicester, Wolves, Everton and even Watford. This coming season could be primed for one of them to possibly break into the top 4 themselves IMO (Leicester being my favorites, provided their squad is not bled dry).. And poor Ole, he looks like he's already effed: we already finish the season terribly, therefore almost guaranteeing substantial reinforcements incoming and it looks like he's not going to get anywhere what he really needs to give himself a real chance. And ultimately odds are, we'll be in the hunt for a new manager at some point during the coming season. Sucks for him as he doesn't deserve this. We'll see how it goes, I suppose but argh...

Simple fact - (even though a few missing names for the tour) that is far from a good enough list to represent our great club. Much work still to be done in all areas on acquisitions ...
