German FA are in a real bind now because they signed Löw to a contract extension till 2022. So they will have to buy him out now I would think: https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/breaking-news-low-extends-germany-contract-to-2022
Ozil apparently clashed with a few German fans inside the stadium tunnel: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...es-furious-Germany-fans-dumped-World-Cup.html
Probably AfD voters. The disgusting racist comments by that party about the non German blood players like Özil and Boateng are telling for the background of that party.
Maybe Belgium should have just settled for the draw tonight. By winning they move into the Brazil side of the bracket which might put BD's money at risk as they pose a huge barrier for Brazil. A draw would have seen them in second and in the weaker side of things with only Croatia to worry about. Weird how the brackets sometimes get overloaded.
I am kinda surprised how everyone underestimates Colombia. I would put my money on them winning England. On the other hand, I don't find Brazil that incredible team. Under normal circumstances, Belgium should be able to get over them.
I think its smart what Southgate did, because England have not wound up on the other side of the bracket with Spain, France, Croatia, Denmark, Portugal, Uruguay, Argentina....etc, which is much tougher then the Brazil bracket
Uruguay over Portugal.. coin toss, toughest to predict. Argentina over France.. Messi decides to show up. Brazil over Mexico.. entertaining, decided by a late (maybe lucky) goal. Belgium over Japan.. cruising. Spain over Russia.. unless Putin intervenes. Croatia over Denmark.. easy match. Sweden over Switzerland... low scoring, could be decided by PK shootout. Colombia over England.. due to rustiness of England A after being rested.
I'm going with the opposite, 2-1 for England. Kane and rest of their attack will be too much for them
Uruguay France Mexico (to jab BD in the funny bone) Belgium Spain Croatia Sweden Colombia (England are overrated)
There are fans who have no clue what they're talking about. In the Argy forum discussing the match against France one loony tells (and gets reps for it too, so a bunch of loonies) that France is mediocre. Mbappe is nothing more but power and speed and it's like the Orange team in 2012, just hyping from the press of a mediocre team. Yeah, right. Face it, dickheads, Argentina just was dreadful all tournement and France just by becoming a bit lazy in the last quarter gave you the illusion there was something to get.
Wonder what is worse. Us not qualifying at all or flying out of the tournement the way the Gerry's did.
Look on the bright side, at least we don't have to deal with the usual heartbreak like we always do with Holland
There was on tv the happy listing of a country's number of showing up in the quarter finals (forgot which country, could be Uruguay or England). That number is far less than our showing up in the semi finals, so I think a lot of countries would be bragging to the hilt if they had our "heartbreaks"
Had Messi not got the hat trick in the final qualifying match they would not have qualified. They had a very poor team and deserve to have home.
Ditch referees are doing well. Kuipers might get the final and Makalie is one of the top video officiald. I have been reading the WC Refferee forum whish is really good
LOL, Argentina are the classic media darlings, with the Spanish speakers all over the world to join their wagon. Many of the media give the impression they are a top three team historically, but truth is that they haven't beaten a top side since 1991 in major tournaments. There is a reason why Argentina was one of the richest countries in 1920, and is now a pile of sh*t. Morally and financially a bankrupt cesspool. One of the most antisemitic nations on the planet as well.
