Okay, so if you were Putin how exactly would you fix a world cup?? Tell us exactly the way you would do it, and who exactly would you pay off?? Would you pay off entire teams?? Or just some key players??

Also how many people (and who) at FIFA would you pay off??

  2. Find spitting image lookalike of every ref and fix the matches. Let Russia win everything and make sure every goal of WC title candidates is denied and their weak opponents get a penalty every time they make it into the box:D
    Sounds doable!

The people at FIFA are already compromised as all the dirty stuff under Blattner has yet to be cleaned up. The fact that Qatar is still on the books to host a WC is proof of this. I have no clue what Putin plans to do but given all the stuff they are doing to compromise elections in the US and Europe means that they will try something that in retrospect won't surprise us at all.

Okay, I agree with you on the FIFA part. Qatar getting the WC is so fishy that it should be obvious to even the dumbest person on the planet.

But what I'm trying to get you to answer is how exactly would you fix a world cup?? Explain to us in fine details the logistics of it, because IMO its not easy because you have to involve a fair amount of pro athletes and/or referees

The thing is, even if some pro players or people in the football world make claims saying football is corrupted, what would it change ? This has already been done but people still go to stadiums and buy football shirts.

It would change nothing. You are 100% correct.

The only thing is I stopped watching Champions league and Ajax matches, because there are no Dutch players currently (in either team.....LOL).

Back in the good old days I used to enjoy watching a Champions L. match, because I knew there would be an Oranje player in there somewhere, but nowadays we got NOTHING..........zero..............nada!!!!!!!

So I just throw my Kido at the TV and grumple for a bit

You got it right but you also forgot that Putin fixed the Brexit vote as well.

Watching football is not fun anymore after 2014 WC. When we failed to qualify for Euro 2016, there is not much to cheers in Champion League or Europa League or a club with some Dutch players that plays well. Very disappointed and depressing! It is better to watch other sports like NFL or NHL or NBA until Dutch national team or clubs are playing well again.

Moving this up to the top as the WC is only a couple of weeks away. I've been watching WCs since 1966 and this is the first time that I really don't have much interest. I'm finding it hard to even figure out whether there is a team I can support. I guess I would like to see Argentina do well as Messi is deserving of a win at the highest stage but I doubt he can carry the team on his back.

Just like in 2002 I'm also not that interested in this World Cup without us.

I will keep track of the results and watch some of the bigger matches though.

  14. Well, our southern neighours get my support. The only thing that isnot right is that they managed to get a coach who has no clue about what players he really should select.

If France had a better manager I think they would be the favorites. I'm not sure that there is a clear favorite right now.

Brazil looked good vs croatia. This time around they have a good depth in the squad. Neymars looked in good shape and marked his return with a beauty.

So I'm watching Nigeria - Czecho friendly right now (being held in Nigeria), and they have Amstel adverts running along the billboards. Kinda trippy :D

Wow, just saw that the Spanish Federation has sacked Lopetegui because he took the Madrid job without notifying them. It's uncertain who will manage the NT right now and they have their first match in a couple of days.

Really, really stupid move by Rubiales, because if Spain do poorly they're gonna blame him. My parents always taught me never, ever make important decisions when you're angry.

Hierro has been hired as interim coach
