Speaking for this paper, remember, their base is in the suburbs of Milwaukee, and the Republican places. Plus, this is also a largely passive-aggressive area.
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/bart-lebon-wins-alaska-state-house_us_5c020667e4b04fb211681d45 Republican Bart LeBon has won an Alaska state House race by one vote after a ballot recount, officials said. Before Friday’s recount, LeBon and Democrat Kathryn Dodge were tied with 2,661 votes apiece. Recount results showed LeBon with 2,663 votes while Dodge had 2,662 votes, after LeBon picked up two votes and Dodge picked up one, according to the Alaska Division of Elections. A much talked about mystery ballot found weeks ago on a table in a voting precinct ended up playing no role in the race outcome. The ballot was tossed Friday after officials said it was determined to be a spoiled ballot from a voter who had made a mistake on it, told officials and then filled out a new ballot. If LeBon’s win holds up, the GOP will control the House, Senate and governor’s office. Dodge has five days to decide whether to appeal the outcome to the state Supreme Court. She didn’t make a definitive comment after the recount, saying she and her team would “think on things,” the Juneau Empire reported .
Well, at least this result won't affect congressional redistricting. Even Republicans would have a tough time gerrymandering a state that has only one congressional seat.
Some light election fraud EXCLUSIVE: I've obtained images of 162 absentee ballot envelopes from North Carolina's 9th Congressional districtOne of the state's top election law experts tell me the envelopes "fit into a pattern of fraud"https://t.co/mRSi48AO5o— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) December 3, 2018
So damn fash This is wild. @AmyEGardner and @ludkmr got a firsthand account of an illegal ballot harvesting operation in North Carolina. You're going to want to read this one! https://t.co/YukkBYZRvK pic.twitter.com/YkDhPWhYvx— joe (@joemfox) December 4, 2018
There is a small number of people who witnessed large numbers of these absentee ballots. One of them is Lisa Britt. 2 have the last name of Dowless. .UPDATE: Lisa Britt, who was the witness for 44 mail-in abstentee ballots in Bladen County North Carolina, is the step-daughter of Leslie McCrae Dowless, the man at the center of the controversy who has previously been convicted of felony fraud https://t.co/4nvpnzVIXJ— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) December 3, 2018 So it's a family affair. Again...there's absolutely no doubt in my mind there was an organized conspiracy to cheat. There's very little doubt in my mind that Harris was the nominee instead of Pittenger because they did the same crap in the primary. Still doesn't look like THIS election result changed because of the fraud. Not enough votes in Bladen. However, something weird happened in Robeson too. It's possible they threw away enough Dem votes there that, combined with what they did in Bladen, that did swing the election.
I guess the fact that your cheating wasn't enough to swing the election shouldn't really be the mitigating factor in annulling the result?
In my "health of democracy" thread I posted about how after Dem Cooper beat GOP McCrory in 2016 the GOPs passed a series of laws designed to weaken Cooper while McCrory could still sign them. It was a lame duck session. One of those bills had to do with the BoE. I think that law took effect December 3, but it's in litigation. tl;dr it's complicated as ******** it's like Florida man is running this shit so who the hell knows
Exclusive: A second woman, Cheryl Kinlaw, tells me she was paid $100 by McCrae Dowless to pickup absentee ballots. She said she never thought it was illegal because Dowless "has been doing it for years." She says needed extra money for Christmas presents. #NC09 #ncpol @wsoctv pic.twitter.com/AR4AOyXROa— Joe Bruno (@JoeBrunoWSOC9) December 4, 2018 This is a stunning admission in the #NC09 election controversy by @wsoctv’s @JoeBrunoWSOC9 on what one of the “harvesters” did with the absentee by mail ballots she picked up: #ncpol pic.twitter.com/NtcmJOVnpE— Dr. Michael Bitzer (@BowTiePolitics) December 3, 2018 Sh!!!!!!t...
Things just go from bad to worse Starts with a kiss ends like a curse Exclusive: A second woman, Cheryl Kinlaw, tells me she was paid $100 by McCrae Dowless to pickup absentee ballots. Notice "unsealed" is underlined. And there's a price there too. The meeting was NOT run by Dowless, but some other guy. That's some ********ed up shit. This was SOP there.
NEW: There is a direct financial connection between the North Carolina GOP and the alleged election fraud operation run by convicted felon Leslie McCrae DowlessThe North Carolina GOP paid Red Dome, the company that employed McCrae Dowless, over 17K in October 2018 pic.twitter.com/IAnSk7NXMa— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) December 5, 2018 So the NC GOP knew and probably paid for it... What are the chances that the RNC paid for it with Russian money they got from the NRA? I mean, it is completely within the realm of possibilities, isn't it?
You've got it backwards. They definitely paid for it. They probably knew. This guy was a wizard for delivering absentee by mail votes in his part of the state. A normal person would be suspicious AF. My guess is Harris and the NCGOP didn't know precisely how Dowless was breaking the law, but they knew that shit won't legit.
The NC BofE is posting some of the documents theyre interested in. https://dl.ncsbe.gov/index.html?prefix=State_Board_Meeting_Docs/Congressional_District_9_Portal/
