But only if they take Chris Klein and "Back Pass" Pete Vagenas also. They're a package deal. While it would break my heart, I'd hate to see them stay in L.A. and pass up the opportunity to work their magic in Colorado.
If the team actually uses "Wings" then that would be great. I know they trademarked a couple of versions of "Wings" but I haven't seen the team actually use it.
Anytime SRFC plays LA I'm a big fan of the former and hope they get a coach with tons of MLS experience, like Curt!
Look, I know you're just kidding around, so I don't want to come across as preachy. But civilized people don't wish Curt on anyone. It's just not okay.
Notes Toaster's warming up in Philly. Also, ORL and CLB are both below the playoff line. Maybe one of the usual suspects will be the first to complain that their team got toasted prematurely.
I wonder if Philly is toast if it gets the same result as Montreal and Columbus. Has it reached the point that not making up ground is enough to doom the team? I'm looking forward to cheese steak on toast. And it seems Orlando is in striking range of toast. If they lose to Columbus and Montreal wins, they are out.
The general mood in Crewville is fairly pessimistic right now. Outside of members of the Sunshine Brigade, you won't get a whole lot of noise when we go brown.
So the playoff race is boiling down to, in the West, 3 teams competing for last 2 places, 4 teams competing for 2 byes, MTL and CLB competing for last spot, CHI and NYC competing for bye. Also, Sportsclubstats has had DCU eliminated from SS and TFC eliminated from wooden spoon for a week and a half, but I can't confirm on a deductive basis. If anyone smarter than me can confirm, I will tip my hat.
Sac isn't even an MLS team yet, leave us alone already Isn't Toast Justice* enough! * Toast Justice, trademarked Aug 18, 2017
San Jose and Columbus are both within a point over their remaining games of the playoffs, so their fans have real reason to hope for the playoffs. They aren't real contenders for MLS Cup, of course. If Philly, Orlando, and/or New England are toasted soon, I can't see people losing their minds; there's just no delusional thinking that they're the peers of Toronto, Chicago, or the New Yorks, so missing out on a tough road game isn't a huge emotional hit.
