So here we go again, picking teams that most of us haven't seen more than once or twice all year. But when has that ever stopped anyone on the internet from bragging about their knowledge? Also, maybe let's stop @JoeSoccerFan from winning this time? Three in a row is surely enough. So let's try this fool's errand of chasing the perfect bracket again, surely to be filled with plenty of homerism along the way. Bonus points for picking western schools, because we know there's a bias against each and every one of them We'll go with the standard scoring structure we've used before. Listed in points per game Round 1: 1 point Round 2: 2 points Round 3: 4 points Quarterfinals: 8 points Semifinals: 12 points Final: 24 points Here's the bracket Please list each winner and provide a blank line for when the round changes. I'm not looking to actually use my brain much on this. All picks must be in by the start of the first game on Thursday I probably screwed something up. Tell me and I'll fix it

Most years I hem and haw and turn in my picks the day of the first games. And I always over think them and come in 9th or whatever. So, in the spirit of recognizing the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result, I'm picking almost immediately this year. I thought that the honorable Forum Steering Commitee in all its wisdom changed the rules of the challenge, by stating that players with the following three capital letters in their avatar name were not allowed to participate: JSF, in this order.
Not to confident, mostly taking schools I liked in the pre-season. I feel Maryland has the toughest road but also have them is winners although I woudn't be shocked if they loss to Providence or Kentucky in the 1st two rounds. Denver also scares me because not sure if they are real or overhyped. Dogs to watch if betting was allowed are South Carolina and their player Danny Deakin, Boston College and Zeiko Lewis and I like and I've seen a lot of Dylan Sacramento at FGCU a former Toronto FC academy player. I also feel home field should play an advantage in most games and if it was on a nuetural stadium my decisions for some games would be different. 1st Round Providence Creighton FGCU Dartmouth Pacific Vermont Loyola Chicago UCLA South Carolina Boston College Portland San Diego State Akron Virgina Tech Michigan State Coastal Carolina 2nd Round Maryland Kentucky North Carolina Syracuse Stanford Virgina Notre Dame Louisville South Carolina Boston College Washington Denver Indiana Charlotte Butler Wake Forest 3rd Round Maryland North Carolina Virginia Louisville Boston College Denver Indiana Wake Forest 4th Round Maryland Louisville Denver Wake Forest Semi Maryland Wake Forest Winners Maryland

Like your picks. I may be biased, but Creighton GK Alex Kapp has to be one of the best in college this year. He played with Zeiko Lewis at Boston last year and both almost got Boston to the Final 4 . Looking for big time players to step it up and lead their teams to some upsets
I heard differently; that this contest had been renamed the JSF Annual Celebration. It could be that I've received false information (along with some faulty polling data).

Did you notice that several RPIs in the bracket page are different from the ones in the RPI ranking (and also in GauchoDan's)? For example Clemson/Wake RPis are switched: 3 and 2 instead of 2 and 3. Same for the ones for Standford and Louisville. Mistake? or on purpose?

Well, as I did not see the large majority of teams, I will follow the same approach as for the previous years. I will always select as winner the highest RPI ranked team. This to see whether the RPI is a nonsense measure... ... or not So normally, I should be in the top 10 at the beginning, peaking mid-term..... and as soon as surprise upsets bite, I will slowly and smoothly slide down (especially if a "surprise" team goes up to the end, yes I am looking at you Standford). Dan - you're ineligible for this contest. The rules clearly state that you have to be a BS member for at least 1 year prior to being eligible for your entry.
