I thought since there isn't a thread for (I think this year?) how about for the last 7 days and next year.

The Steel Roses will be going up again USA, Iceland and Sweden in Algarve Cup as well as other competitions.

Here's Gao Hongbo, Nov 20, watching the woman thrash Hong Kong 6-nil

Pu Wei and Ma Xiaoxu after scoring a goal

Gao Hongbo watching, Nov 24, when China famously beat Australia 2-1 to in EAFF Preliminary Round 2.

and Wang Fei, goalkeeper, tears of joy when they finally qualify for 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup... so nice

Does the women's team still use Han Duan? I've noticed they didn't have her on the roster for the three matches against the United States.

She was not in the roster for last three games in the EAFF East Asian Cup qualifiers ... her personal website was last updated 2009. However, she did play in 2011 for London 2012 qualifiers.

So, I am not sure. Maybe club duties prevented her from going to qualifiers but maybe she'll be in the EAFF EA CUP one.

Just to let you, or all of you, know.. getting information (in English) is super hard for Chinese's WOMEN national team. Most of the images I get are from Chinese sites. But let me tell you.. how many people are interested in China's men national team? Right... Now how about the women's? Exactly. So, it's like... not a lot of information to grab at. Even the CFA website of the women's team is really, really outdated.

chinese women team doesn't receive much attention as the men team in china, so that's probably why the CFA website doesn't have much update.

Yep. Exactly that why. Also probably because women aren't treated the same way as men in China due to political reasons, I'd assume.

Either way, I hope with this topic we can bring more light on the Chinese Women's NT. They have the Algarve cup coming up.

Aha. Ok. Gotcha. Thanks jonny63. You are a savant.

Anyway, I was following chinese accounts on twitter, found @Chinese_Soccer and they recently had an article on China vs North Korea. I never knew they faced so much in the Asian Cup games.

    http://chinese-soccer.com/2012/12/how-north-korea-formed-a-rivalry-with-chinas-steel-roses/

Sucks that they're banned, the North Korean team, from 2014 Asian Cup and 2015 WC.

Soccerway says the game starts at 2AM for me.. yet China's site says they kick off at 16:00 (4AM..)... When is the game? Also... can I watch anywhere?

Again China comes close and plays well. And again they lose by one goal. We'll probably beat Korea though. I'm guessing a 3-1 victory at most.

China win from Zhang Rui tap-in off Wang Lisi free-kick and an own-goal from Lee Eun-Mi who chested the ball into her own net.
