I really disagree when the author says Hyndman has a Siberian chance of making Russia 2018. If you put a gun to my head, I'd say he's on that roster for Russia 2018, or at least gets called up before the final cut. I honestly believe he's either going to get a solid loan, or be a squad player for Bournemouth. His pre-season is what's going to decide it. I think I take his performance in the Scottish league with a grain of salt. I think it shows he has quality, which we knew. But taking that into a much higher caliber league where you are playing week in week out is a completely different challenge.
Last I saw it was supposedly all good and he was cleared to start up with B'mouth when the time comes. Unless anyone else has heard otherwise.
Yes, but all word associations of "Hyndman" and "Cherries" that pop to mind seem so, I don't know, tasteless.
Bournmouth with a few new signings - including young winger Connor Mahoney as well as Begovic, Ake, Dafoe and I'm forgetting someone... And Gers already showing they should have kept Emo as they crash out of EL to a team from Lichenstein! (ok Luxemborg, but it could have been Andorra or San Morino for all it matters. At least they didn't have to fly to Falklands to be humilited.)
and for all you too lazy to click the tweet link - the B'mouth tweet Emo retweeted 🙌🎉🇺🇸Here's wishing all of our 🇺🇸 supporters a very happy #IndependenceDay #afcb 🍒 pic.twitter.com/0q3IFMHAlW— AFC Bournemouth 🍒 (@afcbournemouth) July 4, 2017
Emerson's gotta be happy he's out of Rangers who lost to Progres Niederkorn (who finished 4th in Luxembourg) in Europa qualifying. It was humiliating and another step back for Scottish football. It was probably worse than Celtic's first leg loss to Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps last year and definitely worse than Hearts loss to Malta's Birkirkara FC last year. He may or may not be ready for the EPL but getting out of Scotland was critical.
In their defence they were pretty unlucky, apparently Miller hitting the woodwork and having a few other good chances go missing, but still to go to Luxemborg with only a 1-0 home win and not even be able to get the away goal is pretty poor. The missed a few of their loans, including, or especially, Emo.
And St Johnstone were eliminated today by Lithuania's Traku FK Scottish football is bleak And to make matters worse, Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha was fighting with his team's fans in the bushes outside of Progres Niederkorn's 2300 capacity "stadium" after the loss in Luxembourg What an embarassment
Pedro was an odd choice. I never really understood it, but there much about Gers these days I don't understand. Daddy Warbucks make more sense. He was at least kind of bullnosed and fit a bit the Glaswegian mentality. I wish Pedro well, but the Gers fans are tough. Hope they get some players. Meanwhile, on the south coast, I wonder how it's looking for Hyndman.
Gibraltar is fairly new in the Europa Cups, but Lincoln Red Imps beat Flora Tallinn before bumping off Celtic in the following round.... Birkirkara narrowly lost to West Ham on penalties in the 2015/16 Europa League qualifiers ... and they also bumped off a Bosnian team before beating Hearts, so it was not that unlikely a result, all considering.. ... . but Rangers losing to Progres Niederkorn, that had never before won a match in Europe, is just terrible.... Niederkorns best results in the past was a 0-0 home result against Irish Shamrock Rovers in 2015 and a 1-1 home result against Glentoran from Northern Ireland back in 1981, which was also the only goal they had ever managed to score in Europe ... otherwise they had been beaten rather badly both home and away in all their European games in the past.
Sadly, this sort of performance in Europe from a Scottish club outside the Old Firm isn't even unexpected. Some recent lowlights. This stuff happens every year and it's getting worse now that the Scottish ranking in the UEFA coefficient has dropped to the point where more Scottish clubs are playing in the first qualifying round of the Europa League and having the opportunity to lose to even worse clubs. 2016/17 Hearts - Birkirkara (MLT) 2015/16 St. Johnstone - Alashkert (ARM) [this is even worse than losing to a Lithuanian club] Aberdeen - Kairat (KAZ) 2014/15 Motherwell - Stjarnan (ISL) 2013/14 Hibernian - Malmö (SWE) [not an embarrassing opponent, but they lost 9-0] Maribor (Rangers, Celtic, Hibernian, Aberdeen) and Malmö (Rangers, Celtic, Hibernian) are like the Scottish nightmare clubs. They are a combined 7-0 against Scottish clubs since 2010-11.

I just spent 30 minutes, god knows why, watching their arrival and precamp stuff. Didn't see Emo one time, not for a second in anything. But he's listed on the travel squad so I'll take that, The 1 pic of him in the bike but in the video there's nothing. Here's to another season of massive Emo stalking. Hope my wife and family are ready.
@wixson7 feel no shame. I was probably looking for a reason to bump this thread anyway but I happened to stop by Fulham's academy today. Had walked off to take a leak and stumbled upon this in one of the hallways. Was kinda cool to see our boy still getting love and respect at his old stopping grounds.
