Teo just looking absent in this game. Mind you the whole RP team can barely keep up with Quilmes (down 1 man). Balanta' s poor marking allowed the only goal so far. Not good for the Colombians. More so for Teo. The more I think about Pekerman's words the more I realize Teo may not be THE starter so many think he will be. Pekerman believes (and rightfully so) that those are 2 very different tourneys. That being said, I would love Teo to at least get his confidence back and start scoring.
Teo looks slow, out of shape, and at times disinterested. This is the worst River plate team of all time statistically, sure he doesn't have the ideal situation in terms of help, but he has missed so many goals some of them right in front of the goal. Sure, there's no D'Alessandro or Aimar to give him the ball, but when he got to Racing his first tournament he scored 12 goals and who was he playing with? Gio Moreno was injured, Camoranesi was still playing at Lanus... Racing really had no one and Teo was unstoppable. At River, he has been just plain bad If I'm Pekerman- even though Teo was great in qualifying- I don't know if I'll take him to the world cup unless he gets his ass into shape and starts scoring goals. Earlier in the season, even though he wasn't playing well, his class would shine through with good control or some nice passes or atleast a shot from outside the box, but in the last 3 games he has shown really NOTHING and doesn't look like a world cup player I hope he turns it around
I'd love it if River Plate picks up Osorio or Leonel as their coach. Either would make River play a hell lot better. How many more years does Teo need to be in Argentina before he can become an Argie? Balanta and Carbonero been there for a while too right?
Teo I think won't count as Argentine because you ned to live 3 years consecutively to naturalize, since he left for Mexico He will need to wait a while.... Balanta I know is eligible to naturalize since he's been here since he was 15 and he's now 20, there was talk they wanted him for the seleccion- it was probably a media invention obviously was never gonna happen I'm sure the River directors will try and get Balanta to naturalize just so he doesn't take up a foreigner spot and we can incorporate an extra foreigner or two. I don't think Balanta is going to be sold because the new president will want to keep him and also because his level has dropped. Balanta definitely suffered from the poor level of the team and the fact that Ramon played Vangioni- who is a winger/left midfielder- at left back all season leaving Balanta with lots of ground to cover

Teo va pero no va a ser titular en el mundial pq solo juega bien en Barranquilla, con su gente. Por fuera se desaparece. En mi opinion en el partido contra Chile en Santiago Teo solo tuvo la suerte de hacer el gol. De resto poco y nada como siempre.
sesgada la opinion, el tuvo varias jugadas y participacion en ataque, si quieres revisa el otro partido, teo fue bien peligroso....en holanda asistio las dos jugadas mas cercanas de gol que tuvimo una a falcao y la otra macnelly seguramente, no va a ser titular si sigue jugando mal en river ,,,,,,,,,,pero no por que se pierde por fuera....
I don't remember Perea or Macnelly ever having a good game for the NT and still people love those 2 guys. I remember Yepes and Cordoba being god like when they were younger. I wish they were both starting and were 30. I'd have no doubt Cordoba would be lifting the World Cup next summer. It's no longer the case and he retired.

el tipo tuvo sus opciones antes de cabeza y por abajo....eso es lo que me acuerdo, si quiere revise los highlights, el tipo jugo bien esos dos partidos ya despues fue que no se vio igual.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Teo in the WC. In fact, I expect it. But he's so lost in form and even for the NT (lately) his performances have been very blah for a guy who was at one point our starting striker. No one can defend that Teo is wayyyyy offff form. We have about 6 games to make it to the finals and we need the best men out there. If Teo can be one of those men, than great. But he's no where close the player that he was even a year ago. We give up on guys like Montero, Renteria, Rodallega, just to name a few....and in certain instances, we are right. So why is it that so many here feel he has a right to hold on to that position? Forgetting Perkerman and what he would want, do you guys really feel that if Teo continues this down trend for another 6 months that he should be in the WC let alone start?
