Another Goal against braga , good first year in Portugal ...benfica Will be The champions But Sporting deserved as well ....actually Sporting lost The top when teo Wasnt playing at The begging pg this year
Teo se convierte en el goleador histórico de Colombia en Olímpicos. 3 goles, con 2 Jaime Morón y Herman "Carepa" Gaviria.— Tito Puccetti (@titopuccettic) August 10, 2016 Revenge from a guy that was ignored in Youth national teams by Lara ...
Teo has been a train wreck for Rosario Central so far. 0 goals in 7 games and today they lost the Rosario Derby at home to Newell's. The worst part for Teo, in the one game he missed, they won 5-0. The fans in Rosario are going to run out of patience pretty quickly with Teo me thinks.
Which is kind of weird to me because he played so well for Colombia in the Olympics. I thought the trajectory of his career would be positive after that but it seems to be in a downward spiral.
Well, to be fair, Teo was playing at the age of 31 in a tournament of players under 23. Its logical that he would play well and score goals. Obviously no one was expecting him to be so bad at Rosario, but scoring goals in the Olympics, especially as an overage player, does not translate to goals elsewhere
Pero si venía de meter 17 goles en Europa en el último año. Entonces si es para que estuviera marcando mayor diferencia
I am not only talking about his goal scoring ability. His hold up play , his decision making, his breaks toward the goal in transition were very good. Little things that do not matter if you are playing Sub 23 or people over 40. But he seems to be playing poorly in Argentina regardless.
You never should bury Teo but this time and due to his age, I don't think he'll return to the NT, at least not in the near future. His club form since he left River is bad and even if he played well in Rio, it's still not enough when we have other options.
I had him buried and six feet under until he in Kill Bill like fashion stuck his hand out of the grave and showed me what he was capable of in the Olympics. Unfortunately for him he has not been able to carry that momentum into his Club form.
In Portugal his form was real good ...I don't know why people confuse form with extra football problems He was starter and scoring for Jesus
Maybe I was over react with him. I didn't mean his off the pitch problems, I can care less, but even when he showed good form in Portugal, it seems like he is turned off or something. In Argentina with Rosario it's like the worst decision he made. Even when he played with the NT (Not the olympics)it's seems like it's not the same Teo. Like I said, you never should bury him, but his age and the fact that we have other good and talented strikers will make it difficult for him to return, unless he'll start to perform.
Teo's career decisions are quite frankly baffling. He forced his way out of River right before the semifinals of the copa libertadores to go play in Portugal. He had some highs and lows at Sporting, yet at the end of the season he started scoring goals for fun, only to force his way out to go back to Argentina, but to play with a lesser club in Rosario Central. Now maybe his family wasn't settled in Lisbon and they like it in Argentina, but he goes to a different city. Rosario is a nice city- i actually visited in September- but it is not Buenos Aires. It lacks the glamour and the glitzy sky scrapers in Puerto Madero where he lived when he was with River and Racing. It lacks the posh school in the leafy northern suburbs where is his kids attended. So quite frankly, Teo just makes one bad decision after another. If he was happy and settled in Argentina, he never should have left River the way he did. He easily could have negotiated with River to have stayed for the semis of the libertadores, then been transferred out. Funes Mori, Kranevitter, and Carlos Sanchez all made big money moves but they waited until after the Libertadores. Kranevitter and Sanchez stayed until after the Club World Cup. It was this attitude that made the River directors give him the thumbs down. Had he left River under better circumstances, he would have been welcomed back with open arms, but he did what he did and the fact he's now in Rosario having played 9 games without a goal and now he's not even starting is the consequence of 2 years of utter stupidity
And who could forget his worst decision to date --- naming his daughter Jeilou (yes, spelled like that) in honor of celebrity Jennifer Lopez ( https://www.pasionfutbol.com/notici...n-homenaje-a-las-estrellas-20140620-0055.html )
I won't bash the guy for his spelling. I will bash him for naming her after J-LO. Who does that? (And I am half Puerto Rican.)
