I'm not sure a cult is the accurate description. Spoiled entitled brats is a more accurate description for a portion of their fan base.
Speaking of football cults. City fans. It’s started, ‘the big one’, the ‘Champions’ League Final hypeYou know the one where you can qualify by finishing 4th in your league & just 25 points behind the real champions, then lose 4 matches & still be in the finalIt’s massive. In no way is it a consolation cup. Nope.— Dave Morrow (@davemorrow64) May 27, 2019
LET ME TASTE THOSE TEARS CITY "SUPPORTERZZZ"!!! you know - the ones that think football was invented about 8 years ago. So the majority of them.
The comments which follow are absolutely hilarious. Sob opened himself to some internet ridicule, and he gets rumbled, too.
Indeed. How about where he expresses disappointment at being knocked out by Spurs, and some rambling about VAR? City fans are obsessed with VAR believing that with it Liverpool would not have been even that close!
Ok....this was embarrassing from Arsenal. Apparently defense was optional for them in the second half.
I have a feeling Chelsea will win, and I was rooting for Chelsea too because I like Sarri. ALL pundits, news, yada all said Arsenal going to win. Based on the relationship between the Chelsea players with Sarri, and because Arsenal beat Chelsea in their January EPL match. But EPL is EPL, this is the final, and it a one off game, anything can happen. Seem like the underdog is wining this season. Chelsea (whom not an underdog to me) but key point here is no news, no pundits vote for them, and bam, they turn out won. I'm so calm to the Liverpool vs Spurs game, and last time I was calm like this, was City won Brighton 4-1 and got the league trophy. I'm calm for Spurs, which is weird, because I should be very worry for Spurs. But I got this calmness about them. We see how it turn out. Liverpool should have more than enough to beat Spurs though, way more than enough, both bench and starting 11. Unless Liverpool like the first legs against Barca, whom dominant the game, but just couldn't finish their chances. And luck, Salah hit the post, the ball bounce back out, he kicked again, and it hit the post again.
Lottsa photos of empty seats. Both teams couldn't sell their measly 6K quota. After complaining about their measly 6K quota. And nobody else was interested.
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...hettino-harry-kane-tottenham-champions-league good piece about where Spurs go from here. amid all the accolades for this year ..... even if Poch does stay, they need to spend big to strengthen / reconstruct most of the team (esp the defence). signing big names will mean they have to completely blow up their tightwad salary scale, or they'll completely piss off the current players. and signing big names doesn't always work out ......
Think they're in a tough spot. They've punched WAY above their weight in the CL this season and we all saw what happened to them in the league down the stretch. Lots of Liverpool fans were consoling them with "oh, we were in your shoes a year ago" (my dad also said this to a drunk Spurs fan on Saturday)...but we weren't really. Our trajectory was on the up and up and we had one of the best managers in the world (no offense to Poch, who is excellent). I don't see Spurs getting back to the final any time soon but I have been wrong before.
gonna be very interesting. they have 4-5 players with one foot out the door already so big changes very likely. key question for them is - do they go for a couple of big $$$ signings (after seeing how well we did with Virg / Ali / Fab) and end up probably doubling their wage bill ..... or .... bring in 3-4 medium-sized names and tell Poch to repeat things with the same core group? my guess is they won't go for big names. if that happens, will Poch say "eff this, I'm done" ? we can hope .....
Well how long does he stick around when he's probably one of the most wanted and perhaps even the most "gettable" very good manager around? There could be lots of sides in for him over the next couple season. If they don't strengthen and back him (which I get won't be easy with the new stadium), I agree with you he might go off to greener ($) pastures.
