If they are as rscist as you say, then do you really need to ask this question?

CRon one away from the century mark with Portugal. Not the prettiest of goals but he'll take it all the same.

If you're going to carry on being the forum's England band, then a great opportunity for you to rack up even more posts would be if you posted additional links to videos that aren't region locked.

Very happy this will be shown on tv: think we can expect a fun and exciting game for this one.

Great (and deserved truthfully) come from behind win for Brazil. Mexico opened the score midway thru the 2nd half and tried holding out (their backline, especially their CBs were solid tbt). Brazil didn't stop and ultimately got their just reward after scoring the winner in the 90th min.

Interesting, one could easily argue both sides of that issue.

I dont know. After 10 to 15 goals, you are being a dick. Especially if it isnt a rival.

For you to score 27 goals in a match, its intent.

After 5, 6 or 6 goals Id have subbed in player who never play. I'd also put stipulations on goals such as:

    - Must shoot with your weak foot
    - Must score with a header
    - Cant score from inside the box, with dominant foot
    - must game 20 passes before having a shot.

That coach was being a prick and deserved to be fired.

Yea but what are you supposed to do if you’re 10-0 up? Pass the ball around the back until full time? That’s just as unsportsmanlike. Not really an easy position to be in IMO.

You're right, its not an easy situation. Id rather be called unsporting for putting stipulations, than score 27 goals.

In high school soccer, we have to make a conscious effort not to embarrass poor teams too bad. If those poor teams lose all their games by 10 goals or more they'll quit and thats one less game for everyone in the division. That also has implications on end of seasons nominations and representation

We lack context and this might be a case of you had to be there but

Disagree with the sacking unless the coach/players were jeering the opposition. Assuming this coach is also looking to developso he couldn't make it big just like the players are, then this was a teaching opportunity. He could have been disciplined reprimanded and the point still made as opposed to firing him.

I kind of agree with @benni... , I would have done something weird like put the GK upfront as a striker, play a striker as a GK, change positions around.

Agreed but be careful in pulling this off. If done improperly it could be seen as taunting

LMAO... you fire the coach for this (I agree w/ those who say this is bad and could have a detrimental effect on the kids) but you have NOTHING to say or do about racism? That's rich.

Finally a goal in this Ireland - Denmark game, with the Danes opening the score. The Irish have to win to insure direct qualification: 16-17mins and change left in this one.

A lifeline for Ireland who get the equalizer with 5mins and change left.

FT: 1-1. The Danes are in the Euros. Ireland still have a shot via the playoffs.

The rumors about Poch leaving Tottenham appear to have gathered pace with the club possibly looking to make a move if things don't get better almost right away after intl break.
Would be a pity for them to lose a coach like him. But on the other hand if he can't get them out of their current predicament and has reached the end of the road with that team...
The key for them will obviously to keep the momentum Poch has created in recent years going and the next appointment will be crucial from that point of view.
