Depend of the next manager, we can re-organize the midfield in the summer. At the moment it lacks balance, maybe it makes sense for Ancelotti's 4-3-3, but not for Jupp, for example.
Indeed. The team has been playing closer to it potential, and closer to its brilliant days just not so long ago. And with all respect and gratefulness to Jupp's work, I wonder what the heck did Ancelotti do during his time here with this squad? But there are still a lot of works to do. We have been better, but some weaknesses are still obvious, the squad lacks a bit of balance, and the players also need more time to incorporate all of Jupp's ideas. Also, physically and mentally, it's very difficult for the team to play like in 2013, so to what level we can reach this season, is still to see.
Bayern got Besiktas in the 1/16. Not that they're an opponent to underestimate, but PSG got Real Madrid how does that feel topping the group, PSG

Not sure how that will impacts our business, but I guess it's a positive one. By the way I watched the Juventus - Totttenham match last night, and it was an interesting one. I'm kind of impressed with Totttenham's progress. If they can get pass this Juve, it could be a fun matchup for us to play them next round. Also, look forward to the Real - PSG tonight.
FC Dallas plays their Champions League Round of 16 first leg a day after Bayern Munich, although it will be Thursday morning in Germany by the time the game at Tauro of Panama starts. If Bayern Munich would like to promote FC Dallas, they have the opportunity to do so.
Good News from Manu! He's back on the ball! http://www.bayernfanblock.de/2018/0...r-manuel-neuer-trainiert-wieder-mit-dem-ball/
Good news comes about Neuer and then this...[emoji36][emoji35] Apparently Vidal left training, via golf cart due to a twisted knee... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...-vidal-real-madrid-champions-league-training/
If Vidal can’t play the semi, we would miss some agressive plays from him, however it’s not necessarily bad for Bayern in my opinion. He’s always a ticking bomb in crucial matches. Plus with current James’s form I feel safe enough in midfield with Thiago playing the 6’ role next to Martinez. I don’t think we would lose midfield control like last year. The tie is gonna depend more on our defense’s number of mistakes, and whether Robbery can have 2 great games, in Coman’s absence
What’s interesting is that Jupp didn’t rule out Vidal’s participation vs Real Madrid. Or maybe he is really out, and the boss is just playing mind games.
"He slipped and went down," boss Jupp Heynckes said on Bayern's official website. "I've just spoken to (team) doctor (Hans-Wilhelm) Muller-Wohlfahrt on the phone. He's had an MRI scan. Arturo has a loose body in his knee. That's preventing him stretching. "He's already on his way to Augsburg. He needs keyhole surgery on his knee. Arturo will definitely be out of action for a while." http://www.skysports.com/football/n...vidal-could-miss-champions-league-semi-finals
Oh well, if no key player goes down in April, something is wrong, or we're looking at wrong club Jupp now lose at best a fighter and destroyer who especially is motivated to face Real Madrid, and at worst a midfielder to rotate during this intense phase of the season. Can we have Coman back as a compensation please? On a positive note, the referee now has a harder job identifying a new target to give red card to If Thiago shows some consistency (which has not been really the case in big games), plus Tolisso' form in the Champions League, we should not be heavily affected. Madrid's midfield is about controlling not fighting. I trust Jupp to make do without Vidal.
A midfield trio of James, Thiago and Martinez can compete with any midfield in the world. I think at home we will play with the line-up that was used against Leverkusen, and away with a 3 man midfield.
Yeah. I'm not worried at all about midfield (though having Vidal as another option would be nice). What I'm concerned about is our habit to start slowly, and Hummels' inconsistency as well as some random defensive lapses of the whole defence every match. If Real catches these and score an early goal at Munich things might get ugly for us.
Real Madrid don't have a game tomorrow, so they have 1 full week to prepare for the match, meanwhile Bayern is travelling to Hannover ... In fact I'm thinking about the semi-final in 2010 vs Lyon. Same story maybe?
Hopefully it is treated as a kick-about. No point in getting anyone injured for a competition already decided. Field Bayern II players for all I care
