Not to worry there will be plenty of opportunities to pull these in the future.

We should all pull together as a board and try to be more positive like this.

It's like having our very own gift that keeps on giving.

Ronaldo's discontent has been boiling for over 2 months apparently, according to AS. And he had to convinced by Mendes and co to keep a lid on it until the season was over.

Real seem to be keeping somewhat cool about this, at least in public (as to not fan the flames), but according to other reports, they'll meeting with Mendes next week to talk things out. Sound like crisi meeting would be appropriate...

It's happening. 5mill. I understand he had a great year at Juve but I thought the whole thing at City was to get younger FBs.

If nothing else, Dani Alves will buy City just a little more time to get a proper RB, and thus not have to pay £50-60mil for Walker.
If they haven't moved by then Pep can try to go for the likes of Semedo, Aurier, Bellerin or even Sibide, all of them who would be cheaper, younger and better options.

Can Alves do 50/55 games in an EPL campaign though? What's their backup?

Nope, the reason he left Barcelona was his aging legs.

That's a valid question and as good as he is, I don't think he could (while remaining effective that is). They used Fernandinho in that role fairly successively, so if they don't get a backup, that could be an option, I guess.
But he's definitely a short term option (one season is my guess), without a doubt. Nothing more.

Eric always could turn a phrase :)

Ex-Manchester United forward Eric Cantona has criticised Antonio Conte over his handling of Spain forward Diego Costa. In reference to the text message he sent Costa, Cantona told the Chelsea manager: "Don't ruin a team with your thumbs!" (Eurosport)

Conte texts with his pinkies. Ya know, because he's an innovator.

Do yourselves a favor and visit the Madrid transfer forum. It's hilarious. They are in full meltdown.

Oh and one poster said that they could use the CR7 money to buy Mbappe and they "wouldn't miss a beat".

Lol, yeah I'm sure Mbappe will have no problem replicating CR7s numbers. Dummy.

One of the reasons mentioned for Ronaldo wanting to leave Madrid was the constant booing and jeering he had to face from his fans and how he had never got such a treatment from us. They behave like they don't value him at all.

After Pickford and Klaassen, Sandra Ramirez from Malaga will be Everton's 3rd signing of the summer.
