CAM is a dead position in nowadays game. CAM's either are converted to wide attackers support strikers or moved further away into midfielders (Modric, KdB, James, Silva). Those who are too stubborn or limited end up losing value or become an albatross around the neck of their tean because they limit their play (Ozil).
Ozil even if he wanted to, could not be able to adapt. As for Kubo, he has all the capacity to do it.
I think ideally we might want him to be our Iniesta, basically doing a bit of everything but with more attacking responsibilities.
Kubo vs Fenerbahçe (17 minutes)Why doesn’t Zidane give him more minutes? He has been our most impressive young player in preseason. pic.twitter.com/90E6BlHmhG— andres (@MiIitao) July 31, 2019
Kid is absolute class. He’s too good for castilla, but won’t get enough minutes with the first team. A loan should be considered. We can’t ruin this one.
Same question we’re all asking ourselves, would love to see him and Hazard on the pitch together, his affinity for short link up play combined with Hazard’s should create a lot of firework in front of the opponent’s goal
Not to take that statement out of context but I'd be a bit worried to be lumped in with "Castilla" players if I had the season Vini had last year.
He shouldbe more worried about the preseason performance he is having right now, because it hasn't been impressive.
Vini should go out on a loan this season to one of la liga teams, he needs to play as much minutes as he possibly can in order to polish aspects of his game that is lacking; Listening to an interview he did a while ago it sounded he was nervous around Zidane and it shows on the field, he’s so eager to impress and earn a spot that he isn’t being himself. He needs to play week in and week out on the left where he is miles better, and he ain’t going to do that with Hazard in the team. So a year or two in a team like Villarreal would do wonders for his career.
He wouldn’t be the first young talent we send out on a loan, if he is as good as I know he is he’ll be back stronger and better like Casimero and Carvajal.
Casemiro. Also contrary to those two, Vinicius has been in advertisements for the club and we've been trying to market him as the clubs future for months now. Shipping him out will be interpreted as "Madrid have no patience, couldn't even give the kid more than half a season".
No, because the kid himself will be completely disheartened from going from starter to on loan to some bum club that knows they are only there to train him for us and won't give him any attention at all.
Again Vinicius himself says he is very opened to a loan move when he was asked about it, I’ll take his words on it. They will give him attention because he’ll be their best player.
And then people make fun of MBappe's choice. Are we sure he would have got the playtime he wanted if he signed with us? "Ok, you cost us 180ME but you are still so young so you can't be a full starter yet. Not happy? Tell that to LV, and Nacho that earned their spots!".
If he'd be their best player why would he be there and not doing that for us? The reason why not many do these midtable club loan things anymore is because veteran players at these clubs feel like these young players are taking away spots from them and eating their food. So what happens is the player feela unwelcome, and most likely ends up not getting support from a coach who's trying to save his job as his main objective.
I think the gap between current Vin and former Dani&Casemiro is huge. The latter were basically nobodies at the time. And it wouldn't solve much anyway, considering that we've just signed Hazard, who would be a starter for at least the next 3-4 years, so Vin's situation wouldn't change in a 1-2 year loan. I think his biggest chance would be either adapting to the RW (far from ideal) or ZZ decoding to play Hazard behind the striker(s) and Vin on the left.
