FC Bayern Munich will offer €0.7m for Incheon United U-18 midfielder Jung Woo-young after his successful trial. #kleague— Korea Football News (@KORFootballNews) June 19, 2017
Jung Woo-young will join the club in January due to FIFA restriction on transfers of players that are under the age of 18.— Viva La K League (@kleagueno1) June 19, 2017
What's your thought? 200000€ is a lot for an 18 years old Korean footballer so I think he should go especially if it's a long term contract. Also 700,000 € is a lot for a club like Incheon. But he'll most likely play for the second team...
Don't know about him either. He's the same age as Kim Jongmin but KJM has been more known than him...
Jung has made 7 appearances and 7 goals in the 2017 K Leauge Junior. He will join Bayern Munich next year due to the FIFA regulations.— Korea Football News (@KORFootballNews) June 19, 2017
okay some stats on transfer for Bayern Munich II players since 2012. 12/13 Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg transferred from Brondby IF u17 (Denmark) on a free transfer when he was 16. Now plays for Southampton (21 right now). Bastian Fischer transferred from U'haching U19 (Germany), free transfer, 19. Currently: fifth division in Germany (24). 13/14 Matthias Strohmaier transferred from Augsburg II, free transfer, 19. Currently: Switzerland league (got relegated this season and he made 1 appearance). (23). Etienne Scholz transferred from Grasshopper u21 (Switzerland), free transfer, 20. Currently: Swiss second league (23). Ylli Sallahi transferred from Kapfenberg II (Austria), unknown transfer, 19. Currently: Karlsruher SC (Germany II relegated to III) (23). 14/15 Herbert Paul transferred from Greuther Furth II, free transfer, 20. Currently, Germany IV division (23). Lukas Gortler transferred from Eintracht Bamberg, free transfer, 20. Currently. Germany II division (made some good appearance). (23). Sebastian Bosel tranferred from Bayern Hof, unknown transfer, 19. Currently, leaving to Germany III for next season (22). 15/16 Korbinian Burger transferred from 1860 Munchen II, free transfer, 20. Currently, leaving Bayern II for next season (22). Leo Weinkauf transferred from Werder Bremen u19, free transfer, 18. Currently, still in Bayern II (20). 16/17 Marco Hingerl (20), Raphael Obermair (20), Ilias Becker (18), Tim Hauzzler (18) transferred from some German youth teams or lower division teams on a free transfer. Still in Bayern II. Erdal Ozturk (20) transferred from Hoffenheim II on a unknown transfer. He's moving to Turkey Super Lig. Thoughts/tl;dr: All the players moved to Bayern II on a free transfer or unknown transfer (I don't know if it's higher than 700,000 Euros). That can set Jung apart maybe, but for Bayern it might not make a difference... None of these players made it to the Bayern first team. The lucky ones ended up playing for Bundesliga II division, or is playing for Southampton like Hojbjerg. If Jung doesn't move to Bayern II and go straight to the first team or U19 then forget what I just said lol. But if he does than the tide is against him sadly as a footballer...
Honestly, what is the likelihood that a random Korean kid that we don't even know very well moves to Bayern II at 18 and cracks the first team? I'd say close to none.
Basically this. But if he signs a contract with the first team then his odds of having a decent football career increases.
I think if he will join the reserve team right away, then we can say goodbye to the guy. If he goes to play with under 19, there are chances that, at least, Bayern is making an effort to improve him as a player. Of course he won't play a minute with Bayern first team but it doesn't really matter.
whether or not people know about him shouldnt be too relevant. big club is where players with record transfer fee can be kicked out without ever being given a chance. it takes tremendous amount of skills determination and luck to break the first team squad. the best he can do is give it his all
Korea U-20 midfielder Lee Jin-hyun in talks with Rapid Wien. The two sides haven't yet found an agreement but are still discussing actively.— Steve Han • 한만성 (@realstevescores) June 20, 2017 have fun! Hope he has a decent professional career.
17-year-old winger Jeong Woo-young, who's set to join Bayern Munich in January, will be called up to Korea U-18 training camp next month.— Steve Han • 한만성 (@realstevescores) June 20, 2017
Rapid Wien is the second best option in Austria, after Red Bull. Despite the league I think if he truly wants to experience European football, he should go. Rapid get scouted by Bundesliga teams frequently so there's also hope for a future transfer if he develops well.
The players that transferred from Rapid Vienna in the past 5 years: 16/17 Florian Kainz (Austria/23)-> Werder Bremen for 3.5 M Thanos Petsos (Greece/25) -> Werder Bremen for free. 15/16 Robert Beric (Slovenia/24)-> Saint Etienne for 7.50 M. Marco Maric (Croatia/19)-> Hoffenheim for .5M 14/15 None other than some players going to RB Leipzig (Bun.2). Notably Marcel Sabitzer (Austria/20) for 2 M. Now a key player for this team in the first division. 13/14 None. 12/13 Muhammed Ildiz (Austria/21)-> FC Nuremberg on .5 M. There are few players that also transferred to Bun.2 that I omitted. Still it seems like Rapid Wien is pretty connected to bigger leagues and non-Austria has a chance to transfer as well.
