Time for another edition of the Taça de Portugal The draw for the 3rd round of the Taça de Portugal drew us with 2nd division side Famalicão. The game will take place Sunday October 16th at Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho, Vila Nova de Famalicão
I think the game as been scheduled for either Friday or Thursday because of the CL game in the following Tuesday.

Not the greatest game by any stretch - some of the players that played today were rusty like Petrovic and Douglas. But a win is a win.

Ehhh for their price tags, they sucked. It took Tello years to be relevant at SCP and even that was short-lived. He did live up to his extravagant price tag. Elias sucked. And, clearly, he still sucks. Right, because I hate Benfica. I am Sporting fan. It would be different if I was constantly bitching and complaining about SCP.

The draw for the 4th round of the Taça paired us up with Azorian club Praiense. My dad's especially happy - they're from his home island of Terceira.
I think the last time Sporting played against an Azorean team for the Taça it was Lusitania, and the score was 21-0.

Guimarães-Vilafranquense Ours is the toughest matchup, the only game between 1st division teams. Also amazing to see that only half of the teams in the last 16 are in the first division.
