Frei and Eggimann on the scoresheet today. I hope Frei will move to a CL playing club in the summer.

Don't know if at has been mentioned but Grippo has left Chievo for Piacenza (on loan?), he did however make his Serie A debut (2 subs in total) prior to that.
I wonder how many other countries can match our total of players in the Serie A this season?
Inler, Dzemaili, Lichsteiner, Ziegler, Senderos, Padalino, Nef, Grippo and very soon also Morganella. Have I missed anyone?

Vonlanthen and Frei among the scorers today

for Rennes, Esteban is in the squad again after he had been ill this week. But Briand is out several months and Kembo Ekoko also injured, so maybe he will get a few minutes against Sochaux

Twente in the CL and a the World Cup in SA would truly be a great career finish for him.

Why isn't his wife living hith him in Holland?

I've no idea! They used to live in Germany (Enschede's very close to the border). I think they have other family there, I'm not sure.

He's got one more goal to go to become all-time club topscorer btw. We're all hoping it'll happen this weekend.

I know it is early, but where in the depth chart, or is he not even on it, does Stephen Frei sit for the NT. I assume a few good/great seasons could move him up.

I think the 2nd and 3rd choice slots are quite open. Hopefully Benaglio will be a strong keeper for years to come though. A patriotic guy like Frei (he's got a Swiss flag tattoo'd on his arm) would be a welcomed addition in my opinion.

As it stands I think the ranking is as follows

    Benaglio
    Wölfli
    Leoni
    Jakupovic
    Coltorti

    Sommer
    Frei
    Herzog
    Vailati

Vailati is having a good time at Metz, but might have to go back to Sion

Frei had another assist today after 2 assists last week

Esteban out injured again since one week - the achilles tendon
