I figured it's time to start a new thread.

    2004/05 Thread

Yet another player to the Bundesliga, Pirmin Schwegler will be signed by Bayer Leverkusen.

They will loan him out to YB for two years...

I think this is a good move for him, even if he stays in the 2. Bundesliga. It seems he has won back a starting spot on the team and the future should be bright for 1860 with the Allianz Arena.

Not really all that surprising. The central defenders were set in stone when he arrived and he never got a chance to establish himself at the club. It's time he finds a team where he gets regular playing time...

    Hope he'll return back home
Maybe Xamax where he first started..Since they sold Von Bergen they'll need a strong central defender

Henchoz at Xamax???? Never, He's a little bit expensive for a Swiss club. He earns approxymately CHF 3,000,000 per year.

I know a little bit Henchoz, we are from the same region (i.e. Fribourg) and I used to play against him. He's the tightfistedest guy which I know....

I think that he will stay abroad in order to earn more, even if he does not play!!!!! Money is money!!!!

Fair enough... He still has quite a reputation in England, I know Southampton wanted to sign him before he moved to Celtic, so that could be an option, especially since they badly need to strengthen their defense if they want to have a chance to move back into the premiership straight away...

I don't see him coming back either. Besides, I really think he has 2-3 years left at a Premiership side.

Thanks for the update Peter. I think we should wait with a full list until the transfer period is over.

PS: Don't forget Jasari Adnan's loan to Ferencvaros.

Now that Kevin Kuranyi has joined Schalke for EUR 7,000,000 - the Frei to Stuttgart rumors are starting to resurface. Wouldn't that be something...three national team players on the same team (with Frei and Streller as forwards.)

According to 20 Minuten Chapuisat has an offer from Qatar with an estimated salary of CHF 2 million! (tax free.) It doesn't say which club however.

That's too bad, I was hoping he would come to the UAE.

News for Streller and Magnin: Giovanni Trapattoni is the new Stuttgart coach.

Also, the Huggel to Frankfurt transfer is almost a done deal.

Not bad...the four-year contract will be official tomorrow. I think this is better for him than staying at Liverpool.

His playing time opportunity should be much better in Sochaux.
Yep, but Rama is looking for a transfer (Thun?)

Ah yes, just read it on top11. No rumors on other clubs.
Scratch that. Apparently Bühler has belonged to Aarau since last summer.

In dutch newspaper they say that AC Milan will loan Vogel directly to Sampdoria. Can anybody confirm this?

If this is true this would be a major disappointment.
