Awesome talent. If he can stay on the pitch and not get injured he is gonna be immense. His passing from the back is world class. Still needs to work on aerial duels.

We gotta do something about this thread title though. Jesus!!!! :D

I've been really hyped about Vallejo since the U19 Euros two years ago. I hope he fulfils his great promise here.

    Welcome to Madrid, Jesus!

Vallejo: I'll give everything for this badge, Hala Madrid!

Real Madrid have filled Pepe's place in their squad with Jesus Vallejo, who returns to Spain after spending last season on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt, and he was presented at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Friday.

The player insisted that he will give his all for Los Blancos and showed his appreciation of his warm welcome.

"I am grateful for the confidence Real Madrid have shown in me and I'll repay it on the field of play," he said.

"I am convinced that with humility, hard work, sacrifice and the values my parents taught me that I'll achieve my objectives at the greatest club in the world.

"The reception has been spectacular, so I thank everyone.

"I'm happy to take on this challenge and responsibility and to give everything for this badge.

    "Hala Madrid!"

Florentino Perez also said a few words, explaining that the club was working hard to complete summer business.

"We are working to perfect this great team," he said.

"We have a great squad, but we want to go even further in strengthening a united dressing room.

"We always look for the best for this club, which demands the maximum.

"Real Madrid have been adding young players with spectacular projection, one of which is Vallejo, who sums up the conditions needed to play for Real Madrid.

"Jesus, this is the dream of thousands of footballers and you have achieved it."

It has also been confirmed that Vallejo will wear the No.3 shirt this coming season, inheriting it from Pepe.

Well the 3 actually looks perfect for him. I hope the man lives up to it, Pepe took it from Carlos and did us proud.

A great signing, he could be up there with Ramos and Hierro, I hope this works out.

Really cool. Guy seems humble and eager to seize the opportunity. It's an exciting time to see someone different wear that number 3. It's good he showed Pepe love.

If he turns out as good as Carvajal, we should send all of our youth defenders on loan to Germany.

He just needs to work on his aerial duels. I hope he can improve that aspect of his game this season. Maybe he can learn from someone like Ramos. That and remain injury-free.

He's a bit on the skinny side if you ask me, which could be linked to his fragile body, but technically he can make up for the physical drawbacks. Needs to improve in the air and be ready to for some rough and tumble, so plenty of room for improvement at his age.

It's kind of a shame that Pepe is no longer around. Why? Because I think it's more useful for any centerback to learn from Pepe than Ramos and Varane. Varane should be a terrible teacher, considering that he has more pace than pretty much any other CB.
Ramos is a ballplaying centerback and Vallejo's biggest strenght is probably his passing/ballplaying. Not to mention that Ramos isn't exactly known to be a rock-solid defender.

Vallejo is more of a technical defender while Pepe was more of a physical one. It's not like they have that many similarities to really get anything out of it.

Welcome to the family Vallejo. The number 3 shirt has been worn by legends before him hope that's a sign that he will continue the trend
