Absoluetely triplet1, I would favour the Danish format with 12 clubs rather. I think that would be perfect for Sweden.

Yes SoccerMiGermany, there is something beautiful in seing a small club like that performing on par or even better than some bigger clubs. Kudos to those involved making it happen (very likely) for Falkenberg. Allsvenskan with the current format of 16 teams will include these types of clubs. What a contrast to the job their doing at Hammarby! With a budget surely much larger.

    MAIF-AIK Stockholm 2-3
    0–1 Nabil Bahoui (20), 0–2 Henok Goitom (25), 0–3 Kennedy Igboananike (37), 1–3 Andreas Blomqvist (43), 2–3 Pär Ericsson (45).
yellow cards, Mjällby: Andreas Blomqvist. AIK: Nils–Eric Johansson, Ibrahim Moro.
    referee: Bojan Pandzic, Hisings backa.
    attendance: 3 180.
Mjällby (4–4–2): Mattias Asper – Mahmut Özen, Daniel Ivanovski, Gbenga Arokoyo, Viktor Agardius – Craig Henderson (Mattias Håkansson 85), Andreas Blomqvist, Robin Strömberg, Anton Dahlström (Simon Nilsson 69) – Kristian Haynes (Marcus Ekenberg 76), Pär Ericsson.
AIK (4–4–2): Kyriakos Stamatopoulos – Martin Lorentzson, Alexander Milosevic, Per Karlsson, Nils–Eric Johansson – Martin Kayongo–Mutumba (Ibrahim Moro 70), Robin Quaison (Nicklas Backman 87), Celso Borges, Nabil Bahoui – Henok Goitom, Kennedy Igboananike (Sam Lundholm 79).
Strong performance by AIK. Not easy to just go out and win a so called "must-win" away at Mjällby. This gives AIK a good position in the race for a europa spot. 49 points and putting pressure on both Helsingborg and IFK. Both MFF and IFK have tricky away games versus decent opponents. Helsingborg should be able to win at home to Halmstad.
    The Gold rush
    1) Malmö FF 54 points, 49–26 i goaldifference(+23).
    Kvar att möta:
    Häcken (a), Brommapojkarna (h), Elfsborg (a), Syrianska (h).
    2) IFK Göteborg 50, 45–27 (+18).
    Remainding:
    Djurgården (a), Öster (h), Mjällby (a), IFK Norrköping (h).
    3) AIK 49, 45–31 (+14).
    remainding:
    IFK Norrköping (h), Brommapojkarna (a), Helsingborg (h).
    4) Helsingborg 46, 54–31 (+23).
    remainding:
    Halmstad (h), Åtvidaberg (a), Kalmar (h), AIK (a).
As was mentioned earlier, Klas Ingesson is the new manager at Elfsborg. Lennartsson had to go because of the below avarage season in the league for the club. IFE played 1-1 versus Standard Liége of Belgium during the Thursday. A much more spirited performance by the Yellows. Looking at their squad it is a very competent one and the potential to produce high quality football is there. Ingesson wants his team to play a slightly more offensive football than the eralier coach. A 4-3-3 formation.
Helsingborg have not kept their fantastic form they had during more than first half of the season. Now we hear in media that the strong collective we thought they were in fact has its cracks. Offensive winger Boaouzan had to leave club after an internal fight with veteran Edman earlier in the week. A tough decision that has been met by critisism by the HIF-players. It remains to be seen if coach Hansen can find a way of bringing the players together to these last very important 4 games.
IFK Gothenburg´s important central defender Kjettil Waehler is injured prior to the Djurgården game. A major set back for the Blue and Whites......
Norwegian Tippeligaen coach Jan Jönsson is a possible coming man to manage Kalmar according to Fotbolldirekt. He will then replace veteran coach Nanne Bergstrand who has done a magnificent job during his long reign at the club , including one Gold Medal.
Coming games in this round (besides today´s MAIF-AIK)
    Tomorrow
    BP-ÅFF
BP in good shape lately. 30 points and suddenly some room down to Öster on 26 points, holding the qualifying spot. Åtvidaberg lost a local rivalry to Norrköping at home in the last round.
    Norrköping-Kalmar
Norrköping in 7th position. Slightly below what they hoped for before the season? No chance reaching europe through the league. Kalmar are 6 points behind AIK, holding the last europa spot. Can KFF reduce it to 3 points?
    Sunday
    Djurgården-Göteborg
Intriguing contest between two big clubs. DIF a mid league side now after a very turbulent first third of the serie. Högmo the coach will stay the season out. He and a board of 3 other people will try to find a replacement.
IFK with a very dissapointing loss in the last round to Kalmar away. Two dreamgoals by KFF. Otherwise almost no other chances for the Reds. IFK were ineffective creating many chances but no potency in front of goal. A very difficult game for them this vs. DIF. Must win if they are to keep up with Malmö. Waehler out injured.....
    Öster-Gefle
Utterly important clash in the bottom of the league. ÖIF have 25 points holding the Qualifying spot.. Halmstad trailing them 24. Gefle are 2 points in front.
    SFC-Elfsborg
Syrianska are relegated. IFE with a dissapointing season in the league by their standards. New coach a mentioned. What will this bring? He is more offensive than the previous coach. Veteran Anders Svensson now given a more important role. IFE won´t reach Europe through the league. Standard Liége were slightly lucky getting a point at Borås Arena according to reports.
    Helsingborg-HBK
HIF can still salvage a europa-spot. We´ve heard about the turbulance within the squad. Boauozan had to leave.
Halmstad must win more or less. pressurized.
    BKH-Malmö
Can a dissapointed Häcken beat Malmö FF? And help local rivals IFK get nearer the Giant of the South. Malmö are in fantastic form although a late goal and nervous hick up in the last round versus MAIF.....

Exciting games lined up today. IFK more or less have to win in order to stay with Malmö. Häcken are to meet MFF. Hopefully BKH can produce a surprise there.
Elsewhere there is the ongoing fight for 2 further Europa-spots. Helsingborg, AIK and now even Kalmar with an outside chance. Fight in the bottom continues. BP snatched a point and probably will make it. HBK, Gefle and Öster are in some trouble down there.

    SFC-Elfsborg Borås 1-4

New coach Ingesson with his first game in the league and a win to his record. Earlier in the week also managed a draw versus number 1 in Belgium, Standard Liege. IFE are back playing more offensive football it seems right now.

    1) Malmö FF 54 points, 49–28 i goaldifference (+21).

    Games left : Brommapojkarna (h), Elfsborg (a), Syrianska (h).

    2) IFK Göteborg 50, 46–29 (+17).

    : Öster (h), Mjällby (a), IFK Norrköping (h).

    3) Helsingborg 49, 58–33 (+25).

    : Åtvidaberg (a), Kalmar (h), AIK (a).

    4) AIK 49, 45–31 (+14).

    : IFK Norrköping (h), Brommapojkarna (a), Helsingborg (h).

    5) Kalmar FF 46, 29–21 (+8).

    : Djurgården (h), Helsingborg (a), Mjällby (h).

IFK didn't manage to close in on Malmö despite the latter also not snatching points. Djurgården played fast freeflowing game where they in patches dominated. DIF suddenly 7th in league despite a catastrofic start to the season.
IFK with an easier task next on homesoil. Games running out for them.

Häcken is an offensive side and tricky when in form. Malmö will take note of this as they are brushed aside with surprising ease. No major damage done as Göteborg also lost. BP next at home. Should be a banker.

Helsingborg with a turbulent week with different fractions within the squad. When Accam scored, Lorik Sadiku's awkward congrats started another dispute. 4-2 in the end as Halmstad had come back twice but where Helsingborg found the top gear late on.
HBK now still 1 point behind Öster in the fight to stay.

Öster lost and have now an aweful streak of winless games. Gefle surprisingly easy grabbing the win and now opens up distance to chasers Öster and Halmstad.

As mentioned Elfsborg do posess a good quality squad. Under new manager Ingesson they seem to have found late energy in the league...?

Thanks for the report! I watched the 2nd half of DIF - IFK on Sunday. I thought it was an entertaining, equally contested match. DIF lucked out to get the penalty in extra time at the end. But three points is three points! I'm very excited to see how the rest of the season turns out. The table is still pretty close.

It was a well deserved win by Djurgården! No doubt! In fact since coach Högmo took over DIF is a clearcut top side. Högmo unfortunately will just be coach for the remainder of the season as he's already Head coach if the Norwegian NT.

Meanwhile it is NT-time as Sweden hosted Austria during the Friday. A poor swedish performance in the first half and a deserved leading goal by Harnik.
In the second half Sweden finds another gear and scores 2 goals unanswered to win the game deservedely to go through to the Play Offs for the Brazil WC. The swedish superiority in experiance and individual skill from players such as Ibrahimovic and Källström was decicive.

Next ahead is Germany at home. Sweden would want to win or st least take a point in order to get an easier opponent in the upcoming Play Offs. Difficult task but Sweden managed to draw Germany away from earlier in the Qualifying.

    Sweden 2 Austria 1

    Goals: 1st half Harnik (Austria)
    2nd half Olsson, Ibrahimovic(Sweden)

    Attendance: 50000 (Stockholm)

    Well, it happened.

Örebro won their match and Sundsvall won their home match against Falkenbergs to put the top three sides in the Superettan within two points of each other and six points ahead of fourth place with three games left. Of the three, I think Sundsvall has the easiest matches remaining with Örebro having to face GAIS and Falkenbergs traveling to Degerfors on Matchday 29. It's a tight finish to see who can avoid the playoff spot and seal their ascension outright. I don't think any of them relish a match against either Östers or Halmstads after having worked so hard to put distance between themselves and the rest of the Superettan.

Thanks SoccerMIGermany for the info from the Superettan. Falkenberg played today and won versus local rivals Varberg, 2-1. Strengthening their position in the top. Sundsvall will meet Assyriska. And Örebro will take on Örgryte in this round. Here are the current standings of the swedish 2nd division:

    http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/statistik/http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/statistik/

Meanwhile there are 4 Allsvenskan games tomorrow and 4 on Monday as the league starts up again after the NT-break. Sweden as we mentioned earlier won against Austria securing a Play Off spot. They lost out to Germany after sloppy defensive errors in the 2nd half. Ibrahimovic, Isaksson, Elmander rested to this game. Sweden will now face one of the following teams in the Play Offs: Croatia, Ukraine, Portugal. A Play off draw will take place the coming week.
    Allsvenskan 28th round
    Sunday
    15:00 CET
ÅFF-Helsingborg - HIF can keep their Europa League hopes alive beating ÅFF.
IFK-Öster - Tricky game potentially for IFK. Likewise hoping to make a last effort in pushinh MFF. But meeting a side that are fighting to avoid relegation and therefor highly motivated. Attacker Hyse´n is also injured during the Sweden NT-game (Where he scored twice).
    17:30 CET
Malmö-BP - Malmö certainly looks set to win the league now. If they win this one (which they should), they can afford a loss in Borås vs Elfsborg and finnish the job off at home in front of a packed house.
Elfsborg-BKH - IFE wont even snatch a Europa place. Dissapointing for the current Champs. But they can use this game to get in shape to the upcoming Europa league game.
    Monday
    19:00 CET
AIK-Norrköping - Game of the round looking on paper. A rather anonymous round with no rivaling opponents meeting eachother. Except this one in a way. These two sides are amongst the most classic and they have met many times through the years.....AIK can push the other topsides and get into a good postition of getting out in Europe nect season.
KFF-Djurgården - Two clubs in really good shape. Could also be a very entertaining game. Coach Bergstrand of KFF is nearing his last games of his 11 year stay at the club. Djurgården will try to build on their fantastic run of games without losing. They can reach 6th position now if everything goes their way. Not bad considering their catastrophic start to the season where some even started speculating wether they could even be relegated in the long run.....
    19:05CET
HBK-MAIF - Halmstad will want to get past Öster in the league. And it looks positive since Öster are heading towards a difficult away fixture in the 2nd city. And meeting a side that are in Nomansland area. MAIF also have replaced their coach.
No big classic clashes in this round. But rather bigger sides that will consolidate their postitions meeting smaller clubs. Although AIK-Norrköping perhaps being the exception. A fairly historic game between two classic sides afterall. I would maybe pick out that one being the game of the round potentially. But also KFF vs Djurgården could spark some quality with two of the series most in-form teams meet head on....
    http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/statistik/http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/statistik/
A decent 1st half for Sweden holding the lead 2-1. But Germany in the 2nd half breezed by winning 5-3 after two awful errors by the two central defenders. The absence of players such as Elmancer, Ibrahimovic, Isaksson didn´t either help out. But Sweden were off course already through so perhaps they couldn´t find the full motivation.....

Falkenbergs with a win, yes, and now Sundsvall with a 1-1 draw. That puts them even with Örebro ahead of ÖSK's match. The Cubans need to win to put some space between them and third and keep the pressure on Falkenbergs going into the last two weeks. Go ÖSK!

Thanks SoccerMIGermany! I would love to see the Cubans back where they belong.

    28th round games yesterday

    IFK-Öster 0-0
    MFF-BP 2-1
    ÅFF-HIF 3-0
    IFE-BKH 0-0
IFK with an extremely dissatisfying performance at the Gamla Ullevi. Hardly any scoring chance created and a firm and strong defense put up by visitors Östers. Goodbyeto the Gold for Göteborg. Öster with an important point in the fight with HBK to avoid a direct relegation spot.
Malmö significantly has the flow going having two late goals in each half. BP with a goal in between and had MFF rattled fairly late on then. Congrats to the....Champ.....oh well actually AIK can still push Malmö if they win today vs Norrköping. And their last game, if MFF loses both theirs.
Åtvidaberg with another merited win. Another impressive season by their standards. Two veterans scoring for them. Bergström 1 goal. And Sjölund, the former DIF player with 2 goals. Helsingborg still will try to challenge IFK and AIK. Was this the last bad result for them this season? Need to up their game now.....
Elfsborg without any chance of either the Cahmpionship nor the Europa places would had maybe seen this BKH game as a practice game almost going into the Esbjerg game in Europe!? They certainly controlled the preceedings as posession and chances on goal was in favour of them. Häcken with a contrastingly bad season by last season´s standards.....

    28th round games yesterday

    AIK Stockholm-Norrköping 1-0
    KFF-Djurgården Stockholm 1-2
    HBK-MAIF 1-0

Important for the excitement in the fight for the Championship that AIK were able to win versus Norrköping in Stockholm. A fluke of a goal one would think but AIK won deservedly despite not reaching there full potential. Norrköping threatened sometimes with deep searching runs and had Stamatopolos making a few decent saves. AIK now into 2nd position, 1 point ahead of 2nd City rivals IFK. They now need Elfsborg to beat Malmö in the coming round to be able to push the Southerners to the limit prior the last round.

Kalmar and Djurgården had shown great form lately and this game had potential to create decent quality. The crowd wasn´t dissapointed in the entertainment value although off course the East Coast folks in the stands weren´t contempt about the end result on the scoreboard. Djurgården´s icon star player up front Erton Feyzulahu scored the desicive goal, strengthening DIF´s 7th position in the league. In fact Elfsborg´s Europa league participation could well weaken IFE and help the Stockholmers into a respectable 6th position in the end. Just 1 point differs. Incredibly there is a theoretical chance of DIF even reaching 5th(!) position overhauling Scanians Helsingborg. Just imagine what could had been if DIF hadn´t had the dismal start to the season. They are now the best in-form-team of the league.......

Halmstad have surpassed Öster in the league. 14th position and qualification spot to stay in the league. Öster have Norrköping away in the next round and Halmstad travels to the North Western outskirts of Gothenburg to play Häcken. Two difficult games. And so the last round could potentially decide who gets the qualification spot. BP is safe to next season as it looks.
Mjällby are now in 11th position and have despite a a by their standards a really good season, not had the strenght to hold a final position in the upper half of the league.

Generally looking at the standings with 2 rounds to be played, we can see now that MAIF and ÅFF have finally fallen away somewhat and that the look of the table looks fairly like we predicted with a few exceptions like Häcken (definately), Norrköping (slightly lower than predicted), Elfsborg (slight negative surprise). Personally I now hope Öster stays in the league. I really like their arena too. For us Gothenburgers it is a closer ride to Halmstad though for that matter. HBK and Öster equally classic no doubt though.....May the best endure......

1st game in the 29th round.

    Häcken–Halmstad 1–3 (1–1)
    0–1 Fredrik Liverstam (6), 1–1 own goal (12), 1–2 Gudjon Baldvinsson (70), 1–3 Johan Blomberg (75).

Yellow cards, Häcken: Moestafa El Kabir.Halmstad: Kristoffer Fagercrantz.

    Referee: Martin Hansson, Holmsjö.

    Attendance: 5 027.

Häcken (4–3–3): Christoffer Källqvist – David Frölund (Simon Gustafsson 56), Emil Wahlström, Mohammed Ali Khan, Kari Arkivuo – Martin Ericsson, Nasiru Mohammed (Dioh Williams 72), Dominic Chatto – Björn Anklev, Moestafa El Kabir (Mikolaj Lebedynski 79), René Makondele.

Halmstad (4–4–2): Stojan Lukic – Jesper Westerberg (Viktor Ljung 67), Fredrik Liverstam, Richard Magyar, Oliver Silverholt – Stefan Selakovic (Kristinn Steindórsson 56), Andreas Landgren (Antonio Rojas 87), Kristoffer Fagercrantz, Johan Blomberg – Mikael Boman, Gudjón Baldvinsson.

We congratulate Halmstad to very strong win vs BKH. Häcken had a lot of ballposession and showed more technical ability. They couldn't find a way passed a thick defensive HBK Wall though. Instead decided by two goals in close succession in the 2nd half by Baldvinson and Blomberg. Well done and what was decisive in the end was that Halmstad looked more motivated than quite frankly an individually better team. But we've said it before. Häcken's defense looks a bit wobbly at times.
This was the last game at Rambergsvallen for Häcken. A new arena will be built for the 2015 season. They will have to play at a reserve arena in the meantime......

    20. (NY) Amadou Jawo, 29,

    anfallare, Djurgården
A dreamattacker to have in your roster.Always gives his best and works hard in both directions. Have scored some very desicive goals for Djurgården this season.
    19. (11) Celso Borges, 25

    mittfältare, AIK
A bit of an "Anders Svensson situation". We all know his great potency. Haven´t quite found the same form as last season though.
    18. (NY) Daniel Amartey, 18

    back, Djurgården
We are almost shocked by his young age but still maturity in his play. Can deliver the goods both as midfielder and defender.
    17. (NY) Loret Sadiku, 22

    back, Helsingborg
Remember the Summer part of the season? Everyone was talking about the lad. Managed to draw interest from two different National Teams as well.
    16. (NY) Moestafa El Kabir, 25

    anfallare, Häcken
The injury prone attacker have shown his feel for the goal. 12 goals in only 17 games is impressive. Will he be able to surpass Hysén in the scorers league? The potential is there....
    15. (NY) Emin Nouri, 28

    back, Kalmar FF
Kalmar´s right defender have developed nicely in Kalmar lately. He has drawn interest from AIK Stockholm. No wonder since he´s a very cheap but still competent player. His contract is expiring.
    14. (38) Ricardinho, 29

    back, Malmö FF
One of the better left defenders in the league. The brazilian left back have been instrumental in Malmö´s offensive flank play, but has also been better defensively than last season.
    13. (2) Anders Svensson, 37

    mittfältare, Elfsborg
A player that is difficult to analyse at times since he´s been great for the Sweden NT versus worldclass teams. In Allsvenskan though doesn´t seem to be fully motivated at times......
    12. (NY) John Alvbåge, 31

    målvakt, IFK Göteborg
The best season in his career? A fantastic keeper at reflex saves and peanalties. But not quite on par with his shotstopping though. His command in the set pieces not either top notch. But he always delivers in big games.
    11. (NY) David Accam, 23

    mittfältare, Helsingborg
His speed holds the highest international standards. Have played foremost as a left winger where he´s opened up huge defensive gaps with his immense speed. Was one of the instigators behind Helsingborg´s fantastic 1st half of the season. Jsut like his team he´s lost the edge slightly late on though.....
    10. (15) Andreas Johansson, 31

    mittfältare, IFK Norrköping
Not a lot of talk about this hard working central midfielder. But he wins game after game in his particular territory though and if the players would rank him he´d get an even higher placing probably.
    9. (NY) Johan Larsson, 23

    back, Elfsborg
One of the best players in Allsvenskan 2013. Still "only" 2nd in the right back position behind MFF´s Albornoz. He has better speed and running at defenses.
    8. (NY) Jakob Johansson, 23

    mittfältare, IFK Göteborg
He´s got more abilities than just winning physical battles in central midfield. But sure, that´s his strength and he is one of the best as balancing central midfield, both in the air and on ground. Decent shot as well.
    7. (NY) Etrit Berisha, 24

    målvakt, Kalmar
Left for Lazio in Italy after 22 rounds. One of the best goalies this season with an impressive goals against statistic. He even can deliver as a peanalty scorer. Commanding figure in air. Fantastic shot-stopping, and reflexes only 2nd to the IFK göteborg keeper.
    6. (NY) Henok Goitom, 29

    mittfältare, AIK
He is a champion at giving more room for his teammates. Can score goals and assist goals. Individually he´s got more skill and experiance from the international stage than most. One of the most important palyers in the league and a treat to follow on the pitch with his immense ability. Both target player and running in deep. Can score inside and outside the peanalty area. If injury free and in-form will help AIK to a possible Championship next season?
    5. (35) Per Karlsson, 27

    back, AIK
The allround central defender for AIK have held a high and constant qualitative level. On the other central position players have swapped positions. But this guy have delivered all through the season. An extremely underrated player.....
    4. (22) Miiko Albornoz, 22

    back, Malmö FF
Allsvenskan´s best wing defender individually in offense. Instrumental in Malmö´s offensive thrust. Fantastic technique. Sweden coach Hamrén trying to lure the guy into playing for the Sweden NT and not Chile.
    3. (19) Magnus Eriksson, 23

    anfallare, Malmö FF
Allsvenskan´s point mashine number 1. 10 goals and 14 assists showing his register abilitywise both as a finnisher and as an assister of goals. Can play at a very high pace and still show great concentration and quality. Hard-worker as well.
    2. (50) Tobias Hysén, 31

    anfallare, IFK Göteborg
Allsvenskan´s best forward when it comes to making runs in depth. His runs creates huge problems for the opposing teams defenses and is very difficult to get hold of. He currently leads the scoring production in the league but with 2 rounds left he won´t take further part as he´s injured for the remainder of the season....National teamplayer and punnished Germany with two goals in the abscence of a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
    1. (8) Jiloan Hamad, 22

    mittfältare, Malmö FF
Allsvenskan´s best player 2013! He always delivers the goods. He´s got several strengths making his ability as a player individually reach high international standards this season. He is Captain in what looks like the Championwinning side Malmö. Can score goals and assist goals. High work-rate. Quick paced. Great shot-ability. Teamplayer. Well done Jiloan! You are a player for the future and a player for youngsters to look up to........

    Elfsborg (a), Syrianska (h).
    2) AIK 55, 52–31 (+21).

    Left to meet:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------<Europapositions
    4) Helsingborg 49, 58–36 (+22).
    Left to meet:
    Kalmar (h), AIK (a).

    Fight to avoid relegation:

    13. Brommapojkarna 31 poäng -21 goaldifference.
    Left to meet:

    Halmstad (a)
    Qualification-spot
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    14. Halmstad 30 poäng -14 goaldifference.

    15. Öster 26 poäng -16 goaldifference
    Left to meet:

    Norrköping (a)
    Djurgården (h)
    16. Syrianska (already relegated)

AIK strengthening their 2nd position after humiliating Bromma away from home with a crunching 6 goals unanswered. Kennedy Igboannanike and Celso Borges with 2 goals each. Mutumba and Quaison 1 goal each.

This puts further pressure on Malmö who have yet to play Elfsborg on the Sunday. Not the easiest task eventhough IFE have only have honours to play for. Elfsborg have played recently in the Europa league and might be a bit fatigued. A poor performance versus danish Esbjerg. But still though a very interesting game to follow due to the leaguestandings. AIK have a sporting chance for the time being. Syrianska is Malmö´s final opponent in the 30th round making the Scanians still favourites to win the league. AIK have more or less secured a Europa spot to next season which is an acceptable position for the Mighty Gnaget.

Brommapojkarna are favoured to avoid direct relegation if we look strictly points-wise. But they have to face Halmstad ironically in the deciding game on away pitch which could prove very punnishing if Öster were to winfirst versus Norrköping away and Djurgården at home. Exciting......

On the other side of the playoff race both ÖSK and Sundsvall beat up on their opponents this weekend while Falkenbergs faltered a bit in the home stretch and drew away to a quite respectable Degerfors side. All three at the top are clear of the competition, but only a point separates each position from its closest challenger.

    Falkenbergs 59 pts
    ÖSK 58 pts
    Sundsvall 57 pts

Falkenbergs plays at home and the other two sides are traveling to away matches, so the pressure is definitely on the latter two to make a strong showing.

This will be an amazing finish to an entertaining season at the top of the Superettan, and even in the worst case scenarios both ÖSK and Sundsvall have a chance to return to the Allsvenskan next season.

Hammarby has moved up to fifth and seems to be playing well again. With any luck they will be able to keep this going next season and get back up where they belong as well. Whether or not they like them, the Allsvenskan needs them.

After todays results in Allsvenskan, it's now clear that AIK will finish the season in second place or better. Both IFK Göteborg and Helsingborg lost their games vs. Mjällby and Kalmar FF respectively.

Now, AIK can still theoretically grab the gold, and however unlikely, the fact that it is possible makes the upcoming week extremely exciting! If MFF loses tomorrow vs. Elfsborg everything will be decided in the last round of the year! I think even our rivals can appriceate the drama. Or maybe not :)

I went to the game vs. BP yesterday, and 0-6 is a result I haven't seen since AIK- IFK Göteborg back in 1996. Quite astounding. The usual conspiracy theories have surfaced, and some of our rival's supporters claim that the game was rigged, which is of course just silly. BP is risking relegation, and the thought of them losing intentionally just to give AIK a diminutive chance to win gold is obviously a product of vivid imagination.

No matter what happens next week, I am very proud of my AIK. This year has been crazy with the loss of our beloved keeper Ivan Turina, Uppdrag Gransknings slandering of the club, the move to our new arena, medias prosecution of president Johan Segui, the debacle with Daniel Majstorovic - the list just goes on and on. The fact that the guys have managed to get through all of this is downright incredible. All these bad things that happen to AIK just seem to strengthen the club.

However this ends, I am very, very proud to be a part of the AIK community. There's just so much strength in this club.

Now, let's go snatch that gold medal! :D

    29th round continuing
    MAIF-Göteborg 2-1
    SFC-Åtvidaberg 4-1
    Helsingborg-KFF 2-3
    Djurgården-GIF 1-1

Great job guys! Sums up the situation in the Superettan SoccerMIGermany. Very exciting to see which teams end up in qualifying postions and the play off spot. 3 really interesting clubs. And congrats to AIK_Stockholm and his club for a classy ending to the season and at least snatching the 2nd position. The neutral spectator will love this tight ending and seing Malmö being threatened all the way to the 30th round! Wonderful!

I love IFK off course and am frustrated by todays result. But I also love Allsvenskan and I respect the results coming through. This is what it is like following a club. It can be rough at times. And it can be wonderful at times. Congrats to MAIF for the win. This tiny club are doing wonders considering what a tiny place they represent. Concerning IFK it is hurtful to watch them play like this. Sure star attacker Hysen was out but still I expect the biggest club from the 2nd City to perform better than this. Göteborg need to analyse this season and think of what their set up should be for the future. Both tactically on the pitch and concerning their coaching staff. The kind of football they´ve represented for most part have been at times winning but in the long run still seems not the key to winning the Championship at least. The team have played defensively compact and well organised. But where is the constructiveness offensively? Playing with two defensive central midfielders. Is that really going to work in the long run. Very few of our players seem to be able keep the ball up in posession as well.

Syrianska with a fantastic and spirited last performance at home before they leave us. Nice to see. Neither SFC nor Åtvid had that much to play for except honours. ÅFF with a fantastic season and reminds us a bit of mentioned Mjällby. A small club doing well in the league despite a fairly narrow budget.

I had a feeling Kalmar would give Helsingborg a run for their money. HIF had the 2-0 lead and should off course normally be able to snatch the win at home with that scenario. But the last 3rd of the season have been a poor one for the Scanian side. I suppose that the departure of both Bedoya and Mahlangu hurt them really hard. Kalmar actually have now still a chance to advance into 3rd position and a europa-spot if they win their last game and Helsingborg and IFK don´t get the needed points. A Kalmar team that have been expertly organized by veteran manager Bergstrand who now leaves the club after over 11 years.

Gefle have in the past been known for a strict defense and a well drilled machinery by their typical 4-4-2 coach Olsson. And they got of to the perfect start versus Capital City boys Djurgården. 1-0 early on and DIF found it somewhat difficult finding the gaps in the Gefle armour. But in-form attacker Jawo continues to produce goals. His 12th goal meant that Djurgårdens IF were back in the game. And with a flamboyant crowd backing them, they created many decent chances to win the game. But an experianced Hugosson and a bit of luck saved the day for the South Norrland-side.......

Former UEFA-president Lennart Johansson have written a letter to all AIK supporters. I took the liberty of translating it:

    Members and supporters,

As an AIK-spectator for 76 years, and as previous president of UEFA, I have a good grasp of both the history of AIK and that of the international football. With that in mind, I wish to claim that the year 2013 have been unique for AIK.

We've been thrown between life and death, between dreams of gold and the darkest of nightmares. Incredible forces have been revolving around AIK. The club have been in constant spotlight, always targeted by someone.

And we all remember that morning: "AIK keeper Ivan Turina died this night in his home. His heart stopped".

At that time, I said that I believe our unity will become stronger. That we need to remember this.
We have. We are. We will.

Ivan's heart stopped. AIK's heart have beaten stronger than ever. His strength lives through us.
Apart from Ivan's death, many other things have awoken feelings this year. Moving to our new arena, a grandiose premiere, intense media coverage, boiling derbies and broken dreams. Frustrating, but also magnificent games.

This dramatic season ends now. That is why the last game will be more solemn than usual. Let us stick to this season for just ninety more minutes.

    We look inwards,
    not backwards,
    outwards,
    not forward

    Lennart Johansson
