Elfsborg have presented their replacement in defensive central midfield, 27 year old Hauger from norwegian Lilleström. He insidently also has merits from the Norwegian NT and so IFE seems to be able to attract decent and merited players since they just won the league and will play in the Champions League Qualifyers too. Hauger replaces Hiljemark who left for Eredevisie and PSV.

AIK will probably manage to keep coach Alm, rumoured earlier to leave for Norway. He´ll stay I think though. Which also goes for keeper Turina, the croatian who had another outstanding season for the Northern Stockholmers. One major reason behind their fairly decent run in Europe. Will Borges, the offensive midfield star leave? Well according to his manager he´ll stay most likely, as he seems to enjoy his stay at AIK and also says he looks forward to playing at the new arena. He´s been rumoured to Celtic in Scotland. Bangura off coarse wnet back to Celtic as he was only on loan to them.

Helsingborg says they are really trying hard to keep both right win player Bedoya and central defender Larsson. Central midfield star May Mahlangu meanwhile is close to leaving for the Turkish league perhaps. Robin Simovic a young attacker from Superettan side Ängelholm might be an option for them? Their on loan attacking star from Haugesund Djurdjic has left for the Bundesliga.

A serious blow for Scanian side Malmö would be if their star winger Jiloan Hamad would leave for Lazio or some other interested club. But I guess it was only a matter of time before he would leave eventually anyways. Guillermo Molins of Belgian Anderlecht might be interesting for them as he refused to follow his club on their training trip abroad. He is a former MFF-player plaiged with injury time at the Belgian club. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is trying to get a training match scheduled between his current club PSG and his former swedish club. Ghanaian attacker, youngster Fahdi signs in March fro the club when he becomes 18. He´s member of the Ghanaian under-20`s.

Let´s follow Örebro continiously. ÖSK have signed Åtvidaberg´s Tobias Nilsson. A midfield player having 2 years left of his ÅFF contract but still attracted by ÖSK`s offer put forward to him. This suggesting that the Närke club has a clear thrive and will to climb back to the Top Flight. Nilsson produced a decent amount of assists at ÅFF.

First game of the season for Djurgården will be against Syrianska. Hämäläinen seems to be rumoured away from the Stockholmers? He is currently in talks with Polish side Lech Poznan. According to me a very competent midfield player. A very central figure for DIF. Who will replace him!? Well still they would be on the plus side looking at merits, since their olöd star Andreas Johansson is back in the line-up. Solignac, an offensive player from Argentina has also arrived. Interesting. And yes, this Robin Simovic guy is also attracting interest from this big Capital City club. From mid season the Järnkaminer will play at their new venue further south in the City. Half the season will be a farewell capmpaign at the classic Stockholm Stadion.

Rawez Lawan having difficulty keeping up with competition at Danish FCN might just end up at Norrköping then? Will this Östergötland side be able to perform another decent season. Came 5th last year in the League.

Veteran defender from MAIF Juan Robledo is contracted at newly promoted Öster. Another interesting player signed at the Småland-club is former AIK player Kenny Pavey. A club that probably will need to sign a few decent players further with Allsvenskan merits? Or are they contempt as it is? Maybe the leao from Superettan to Allsvenskan ain´t that big afterall?

Wing defender out of Groningen Emil Johansson, formerly a Hammarby player is most definately targeted by Göteborg. BP´s young star Augustinsson is also tageted by the club. But this goes for several Allsvenskan clubs. Even some Danish club seems prepared to at least taking a look at his qualities.

Goalie Azanovic returns to Kalmar FF. Midfielder Fagerkrantz was on loan from the club half way through last season to Halmstad. He´s now written a contract with HBK. He was never a real favourite of the KFF veteran coach Bergstrand.

So far I haven´t registered that many deals finalized yet. At least not involving Allsvenskan clubs. But there are as usual quite a lot of rumours circulating. Most of the rumours have more truth to them than the opposite no doubt. Let´s continuiously follow the transfer-market. I have registered a few Superettan deals coming through as well. I am looking at transfers from the 1st of Januar:

    1st of January
Mattias Candemir: 20 year old central midfielder signs at Huskvarna (Division 1 South). He arrives from Superettan club Värnamo.

    2 of January
Juan Robledo: Veteran central defender arrives from MAIF to newly promoted Allsvenskan side Öster.

Sebastian Ohlsson: The IFK Gothenburg player is now a member of the Senior squad. But at the same time he goes on loan to local historic club Örgryte where he will get more playing time and can develope at senior level.

Otto Martler: The 25 year old goalkeeper arrives at Superettan side Falkenberg as a replacement to Stojan Lukic. He is a free-agent coming from Division 1 South-club Lunds BK.

    3rd of January
Georg Mourad: The 30 year old attacker is released from his contract at Allsvenskan side Syrianska. He played only 4 games last year from start and never was seen a first team player. He is a big, strong and tall lad. He looks a bit like SFC`s other attacker Dinko Felic and this is the reason they let him go. They are looking for a smaller and quicker attacker. Mourad is now then a free Agent. I would say a perfect signing for a decent Superettan side.

Christoffer Brandeborn: 21 year old midfielder arrives from Degerfors to Assyriska. From one Superettan club to another then. He was hunted down by a couple of other Superettan clubs. A cheap deal for AFF since he was a free agent.

Finnur Justinussen: The Faroe attacker chose not to extend his contract at Superettan side Jönköping, since he felt that he wasn´t getting any playing time after coming back from his injury earlier. And so the contract was torn, with 2 years left to left of it. He returns to the Faroes from what I understand.

Frank Pettersson: Also a Jönköping player that choses to leave because of lack of playing time at the club. Played 8 games but then saw the other keeper Helgesson retake the first spot. I´m not sure if Pettersson choses to return to his former Division 1 North club Dalkurd though....

    4th of January
Tobias Nilsson: We mentioned this 26 year old midfielder earlier. He then leaves Allsvenskan side Åtvidabergs and arrives at newly relegated and current Superettan side Örebro. Interesting since this guy made a great job at ÅFF. Seems as if Örebro will try hard to retrieve themselves to the Top Flight again.

Henning Hauger: Big time deal for Elfsborg. A merited Norway National Team member arrives at the 2012 Champions. Some sort of replacement for Hiljemark? Well this guy can play asa two-way going central midfielder. Also a very possibly a defensive central midfielder. He and Anders Svensson will undoubtedly make out one of the best central midfields in Allsvenskan potentially. He arrives from Bundesliga club Hannover 96.

Oscar Hiljemark: The young midfield talent signs at Eredevisie club PSV Eindhoven in a 4,5 year long contract deal. Hiljemark had is big break through last season at Championchip winning club Elfsborg.

Christoffer Tapper-Holter: Returns to Superettan club Landskrona. He had a little adventure in Division 1 club South at Kristianstad. 2 year deal.

Patrik Åström: A midfielder that just prolonged his contract at Landskrona a further 2 years.

    5th of January
Filip Rogic: Was under the radar earlier from several Allsvenskan clubs actually but in the end he choses newly promoted to Superettan Östersund far up in the North.

    6th of January
Ludwif Augustinsson: The 18 year old left back finally have decided to sign at IFK Gothenburg. He had several Allsvenskan clubs chasing him. He is part of a swap deal with......

Nicklas Bärkroth: The now 21 year old lightning quick offensive winger/forward. Still good deal for Brommapojkarna, also an Allsvenskan side and newly promoted. Bärkroth have already been on loan to this club earlier and impressed a lot back then. Gothenburg probably have paid a couple of million kronors plus Bärkroth in order to snatch the deal.....

Adam Chennoufi: The 24 year old offensive midfielder arrives from Umeå FC to his new club Sundsvall. UFC was relegated to Division 1 North while as we all know Giffarna got relegated to 2nd tear in swedish football namely Superettan. It´s not hard to see who this guy is replacing? Well a clearcut guess would be Skulasoon the icelnadic offensive midfielder whom Sundsvall wants at least 2,5 million kronors at least for.

    7th of January
Gabriel Özkan: The 26 year old technically sound midfielder arrived from Allsvenskan-side AIK Stockholm to join much smaller local Western Stockholm side Brommapojkarna who were newly promoted to Allsvenskan. A player plaiged with injury. Always considered a fantastically talented guy. Hopefully a nice restart in a considerably smaller club and lots more playing time there without injury.......

Kenneth Gustavsson: Veteran and Captain for the relegated Superettan club GAIS of Gothenburg just prolonged his contract with his belovedo_O club, despite the current weak sportive and financial staus of the club. 2 year deal then Perhaps they were saved by the bellfinancially when they managed to sell their attacking star Wanderson to the Russian league earlier....!?

Adam Eriksson: A division 2 club Karlslund lets him go to GAIS for a contract stretching up until 2015. 19 year old midfield talent.

Rawez Lawan: I think this is good deal for both FCN of Danish Superligaen and Norrköping. Had clear problems getting any starting chance in a slightly better league. Got of to a decent start at FCN but as time wore on he didn´t quite meet their expectations?? He first came from Malmö to Horsens, and then later arrives at FC Nordsjealland. Norrköping coach says they needed a player that is individually and technically refind, with offensive qualities. Primarily it seems as if he´s gonna be used in a left winf position. Good signing I think.

Ardian Rexhepi: 19 year old midfield talent from Halmstad arrives at Superettan club Varberg. Also interesting player for the future I think. Hasn´t quite been ready for the A-team of newly promoted Halmstads BK.

Jacob Eriksson. Another great talent out of AIK Stockholm, signs with newly promoted Superettan side Örgryte from Gothenburg. Saught after by several Superettan sides. He´s been playing in Division 1 South lately as he was on loan to Karlstad.....

Joseph Elvby: I wrote earlier that Öster, the newly promoted Allsvenskan side needed to strengthen with players with merits from the highest league. Here is another good solid signing for them then. Very smart signing, costing very little too as Elvby comes as a free agent......

    Transfers:

    8th January

    Bill Halvorsson
25 year old keeper leaves Superettan side Värnamo for a slighly bigger club in the same liga, Landskrona. Replacing Ivo Vazgec who didn´t prolong with Bois.

    Alexander Jeremejeff
Youngster schooled in Örgryte will leave Örgryte. New club not known yet.
    David Björkeryd
David Björkeryd couldn´t find a deal with ÖIS. New club not known yet.
    Tommy Lycén
Ends his period at Örgryte, the Superettan club. The veteran has been originally on loan 2007 from BP. He then went to GAIS and then came back to ÖIS 2011
    Robin Jonsson
Centerback, originally schooled in Örgryte brought up to the A-team 2006. Hasn´t reached contract solution though and he´s now looking for a new club then.
    Markus Anderberg
Quick-paced Örgryte-attacker who has problems with one of his knees. Elects to rest for a while and will take a paus from football. Could also return to play for them after that.

    News and Rumours

    Daniel Sjölund
The veteran central midfielder for Djurgården is looking ahead at his different transfer-options. According to his agent there are now several Allsvenskan clubs still interested in signing him. Sjölund will have to decide if he wants to go abroad before January ends if he wants to leave abroad then. Will he still commit to the Finnish National Team?

    Vilim Posinkovic
A 21 year old croatian forward will test play for the rest of the week at the small Allsvenskan club Åtvidaberg.

    Thorvaldsson
The Icelandic attacker had an outstanding past season for Norrköping in Allsvenskan scoring 17 goals. Will he attract foreign interest? Well his club puts up a pricetag of him at 3 million kronor. Rather cheap I would say. He is very important obviously for this club.

    Ari Skulason
The offensive central midfielder at Sundsvall is reasonably saught after by foremost Norrköping and Djurgården and the pricetag for him is around 2,5 million according to reports.....

    Joynny Lundberg

Team Captain for many years at Halmstad is dumped by the club. Norwegian interest in him as well as a contract proposal from a french club Boulogne.

    AIK
Besiktas of Turkey will end their era at their old stadium. Their first match at that arena back in the 40´s was played against AIK. Now Besiktas wants to play against AIK in the last game ever at that venue.

    Season ticket sales
Positive figures coming in from most clubs. AIK, Djurgården and also Hammarby for that matter are registering an enormous rise in season ticket sales thus far. New venues is the main reason behind this, but we´ll definately see generally better figures at these places than before also in the long run due to better commercial areas at these arenas and broader fan-base will therefor be attracted.
Clubs such as Norrköping, Malmö, Öster and Kalmar are also witnessing a considering rise in season ticket sales compared to the same period last season.
Göteborg had ahype going on last year when they were supposed to be a steady top club, buying sveral high-profile players. The result though was another 7th position for the 3rd time running. Despite this the Angel-fans are keeping the season ticket sales at roughly the same level which is a positive sign for them.....

Please if someone have more info, get it in there and write it down for us. I´m also looking forward to the season starting earlier from now on due to the Swedish Cup group-stages under way from March already. The season is prolonged further and we have a shorter pre-season. One of few good decisions taken by the Swedish FA ever I guess.

I've no idea who will replace him. I certainly hope he doesn't leave.

    Transfermarket:

The only new signing this weekend from what I can see is a signing made by one of the Stockholm-clubs, Djurgårdens IF.

Daniel Amartey was more or less a Djurgården player already 2011 when he was 16 years old. DIF smartly managed to get a "first-buy-option" setting up a future contract deal which now is in place. He is 18 years old and highly talanted. He is said to be a Jon Obi Mikel or Yaya touré type of player. If it hadn´t been for this special prior buy-option from DIF he would probably had been in some of the bigger leagues of Europe. We´ll now just have to wait and see if he´ll succeed in Allsvenskan the coming season.

Good signings for both Öster and Malmö.

Magnus Eriksson arrives from Belgium to Malmö. A 4 year contract for the attacker. Obviously he´s a fill in for the recently departed Daniel Larsson who went to the Spanish Primera Division.

Pinones Arce is a great signing a think for newly promoted Öster. Also an offensive player who scored many goals in the 2nd tier last season. It´s looking promising for the club from Kronoberg County in Småland.

Quite a surprise really on the transfer-market. Mohammed Bangura who played at AIK Stockholm last year is now on loan to Elfsborg, a clearcut Championship rival. Celtic said yes to this offer from IFE. The Boras-club will pay the whole wage which is a very high wage by Allsvenskan standards. Elfsborg obviously have some decent capitalists in the background backing the deal. Bangura will stay for the rest of the season. If he takes them to the Group stages in Europe he´ll get extra bonuses for that as well.

IFK Gothenburg lost to Shaktar Donetsk 1-2 in the Copa Del Sol. Not surprising considering the strenght of the Ukranian side. Missing from the squad was several key-players for IFK though including attacker Hysén who´s playing with Natioanal Squad in Asia at the moment. Pontus farnerud a technically skilled central midfielder is out through injury. The same goes for first keeper Alvbåge. Scorer for the swedish side was youngter Moberg-Karlsson. A lackluster performance by IFK, looking tired from all the hard winter-training....

A big disappointment seeing former AIK hero Mohammed Bangura leave for Elfsborg. Greedy players shouldn't come as a chock to us supporters nowadays, but some are more unexpected than others. Mohammed was a huge supporter favorite amongst our ranks, and I think many of us really believed him when he expressed his loyalty, love and gratitude to the club.

I remember when his wife had a miscarriage and the whole club and it's supporters stood behind him. Few players gets that kind of support from the fans, and that makes this whole business even more bitter tasting.

Ah well, another taste of modern football, I guess.

AIK midfielder Robin Quaison did a good game for the Swedish National Team vs. Finland in King's Cup, scoring a goal only four minutes after entering the field. Robin was promising during the 2012 Allsvenskan, and I believe we will see more from him this year. Apparently he have already been approached by the Dutch team Nijmegen, but Robins response was that "if I'm going anywhere it's to a club that is better than AIK, and Nijmegen isn't". Good lad :)

I was definately hugely surprised by this transfer indeed. And yes it´s a taste of moderna football. It´s a pity seing this after all your support for his family in rough periods. He´s obviously also a very good player. But I don´t think AIK will have problems scoring next season with all those offensively potent players. I have to confess, AIK´s roster is top 3 at the moment. The transfer window isn´t past yet, but AIK and Elfsborg looks the strongest for now. At least when I look at the squads.

Quaison played really well last year. Remembered some of his stuff last year. I like his patented move when he moves in centrally getting past his oppponent one on one and let it rip. Great talent! Coach Hamrén was very pleased by his performance.

Malmö FF elects not to use the buy option in South African attacker Rantie´s contract. So no prolonging.
On another note though concerning Malmö, they put up a high pricetag on their central defender Pontus Jansson and Parma who were interested opted out and so he stays for the time being. He played recently for the Sweden NT in the Kings Cup.

Djurgården gets punnished by the FA for sending their former attacker(goes to AIK)Igboannanike to their Under-19 team after they had decided to get rid of him.
Hämmäläinen, a central midfielder leaves for Polish Lech Poznan.
Danish goalie Kasper Jensen and DIF agrees to let him go. They will buy him out from the contract which spans over 2014. Not a very succesfull signing in hindsight.
Godsway Donyoh goes on loan to Djurgården. The club´s special cooperation with english club Manchester City gives them this perfect opportunity to try this talent out. I have a vage memory that he´s been earlier at the club actually.

Helsingborg manages to prolong with two very competent players, Bedoya the left winger and Peter Larsson, a central defender.

IFK plays another training game. This time they met Norwegian Strömsgodset and wins by 3-0. Number 2 last year in Tippeligaen. But we saw last season how well Gothenburg played preseason and then ended up in 7th spot in the league.

Last week I bought tickets for the premiere match Elfsborg - AIK, and I do not seem to be alone. All away-supporter tickets already sold out, and they had to release more :)

Watched the game between FC Dallas and AIK yesterday (they streamed it live on youtube, with surprisingly good quality). A typical pre-season game that ended 0-0. AIK was probably slightly better than Dallas, but both teams looked a bit shaky and slow.

Nabil Bahoui, the newly recruited midfielder, did a good game and he looks indeed promising. Robin Quaison also put up a decent fight, as did Moro Ibrahim and the always solid keeper Ivan Turina.

All in all I would claim that AIK looks good defensively and on the midfield, but the forwards need a bit more edge for us to start claiming goals. Hopefully Kwame Karikari will keep up the good work from last years season.

New year, new thread, new Allsvenska! Awesome!

Today the AIK fans out there received the very good news that keeper Ivan Turina has signed the contract and staying with the club for at least three more years! Incredibly important player for AIK, and a fan-favourite for sure.

Also, promising midfielder Robin Quaison has decided to stick with the golden-black uniform and signed the contract a couple of days ago.

Indeed! Bring it on baby! Come on! I´m pumped up now! Tomorrow we´ll meet the brats of Örgryte in a training game. I hope to bring you the entire game. I think we´ll score 4-1 or something. I´m positively sure that IFK will perform better this year. All those newcomers from last year have molded nicley with the others in the squad and qualit-wise I think we can be an outsider to the title even. But AIK and Elfsborg are favourites. Let me make a ver early prediction.

AIK and Elfsborg fight it out for the title. Amazing squads by Allsvenskan standards.

Following is a group of several "dark-horses" including clubs such as: Häcken, Norrköping, Helsingborg, Malmö. Maybe even Göteborg or Djurgården could mingle and at least reach Europa positions.

Kalmar is a typical mid league club for me.

Öster have signed decent players. I think they could stay put in the league.

Halmstad can give Mjällby, Syrianska, Gefle and so forth a run for the money.......

Bring it on now! First we have the Swedish Cup group-stages starting in early March, not tooo far away. I think AIK will put in a very strong effort trying to snatch the Cup-title in order to play in Europe yet again.

    That´s right.....Kom igen Blåvitt!

Been watching, and enjoying, all of IFK's training highlights so far this preseason. They're moving quite well and seem balanced in attack between wing play and central build-up. Very entertaining.
