Well, looking at the league-standings we actually can see that apart from one big club (AIK Stockholm) all the bigger clubs are on the top half of the Liga. Mjällby though slightly surprising us with a mid-table spot.
The other thing we can see is that there are many smaller clubs in this years Allsvenskan. Swedish media writes a lot about the fact that it would be good for the league if AIK stayed in Allsvenskan. They also mention that it´s good that IFK Norrköping have advanced. Sundsvall are close to the qualifying spot. Syrianska is another smaller club though close to promotion. Although the town of Södertälje is mid-sized town it is a small club. And also they are in competition with another team in that town-Assyriska.
Åtvidaberg, Gefle and in last spot at the moment BP. So we´ll probably loose two of those. AIK are still in a spot of bother and will need to continue win some matches towards the end.
Next years Allsvenskan will probably be slightly stronger I predict with at least one more classical side changing places with the above mentioned, which according to a historic stand-point probably would be right.

Åtvidaberg-Häcken: Close match-up. Åtvid. have been good during the Autumn. Häcken will want to take a couple of points towards the end so they can be totally shure of staying. Although the odds look favourable off course. So Åtvidaberg really have to win. They will be highly motivated.

Mjällby-Halmstad: Mjällby have secured the contract. Halmstad theoretically still need some points to be shure not to fall back into the negative qualifying spot. So HBK will be highly motivated. But this is proving to be a difficult ground to play at, so interesting to see the outcome.

Trelleborg-Djurgården: Djurgården have a theoretical chance to reach a European place. Some other games need to go their way and at the same time they must probably win almost all their own games. They seldom play well in Trelleborg though and at the same time Trelleborg ought to be very motivated to this game, as they are still dangerously close to the relegation area.

BP-Göteborg: BP will be the much more motivated side. Göteborg are out of the European discussion. BP are in last place in Allsvenskan. Although one less played match than Gefle though. It is going to be motivation against class (well I don´t know about that:eek:). IFK have nothing to play for, exept maybe that they would feel ashamed of their performance this year and then show their iritated fans they are better then they´ve showed thus far. BP to win at home?

Elfsborg-Helsingborg: Well, actually I would say that Elfsborg have a better squad but the group-effort by Helsingborg this year has been highly impressive. Playing away in Borås will never be an easy task. Elfsborgs goal will be to try to grab the European spot. Helsingborg are off course still in the battle for the Championship, being just 3 points behind Big Brother Malmö. They have though a slightly worse points-difference than their rivals. Very interesting fixture this one. I think it might be a close one. At least on paper. The biggest game of the round looking at quality?

Malmö-Kalmar: This could actually be a rather tough nut to crack for Malmö. Kalmar always capable of beating the best on a good day with a couple of dangerous players in their side. But Malmö are favourites and are much more motivated in that they want to win the Championship. Kalmar have nothing to play for in their mid-table area. Although they will be motivated in that they get to play against the big club at Swedbank in front of a vocal and enthusiastic crowd.

GAIS-Örebro: Örebro is the better side. And also they feel Elfsborg breathing behind their necks fighting for the European games next year. Djurgården are also in it. GAIS will be motivated as well not 100 % shure yet of keeping away from the bottom zone. The odds look rather good still though for the Gothenburg side staying in Allsvenskan. I would be surprised if they slip up. Close match-up where the better team plays a tricky away fixture against a motivated GAIS-side....

    Round 27 continues:

    Åtvid-Häcken: 1-1

    BP-Göteborg: 1-2

    Trelleborg-Djurgården: 3-1

    Mjällby-Halmstad: 2-0

It was an afternoon where Allsvenskan paid visit to the smaller stadiums.

Åtvid. met Häcken in a clash between the minis. Åtvid had the chance to pass AIK Stockholm but didn´t take the opportunity. In fact Häcken was the slightly better team. Uneventfull first half where Häcken had a bit more posession. The second half saw Häcken create most of the chances. They hit the post in the 53rd minute through Karlsson. Häckens Paulinho also had a goal wrongly disallowed in the last minute of the match. ÅFF looked considerably nervous in this match. 0-0 it ended. Åtvid. are still in the qualification-spot.

BP met IFK Göteborg at Grimsta. BP, another bottom team looking very attentative, especially early on in the first half. They gave Göteborg the chance to hold up the ball well and string the passes together. Their tactic was clear this afternoon. Counterattacking style. And so with too much room on the left flank, the nifty, technically skilled Tobias Sana managed to make a low cross in the 13th minute. Young and talented goalie Nordfeldt made a slip up and couldn´t steer the ball away, letting tricky right-winger Selakovic score in the open net.
But close thereafter Guterstam scored the equalizer in a swift counterattacking move.
Nordfeldt got his revenge for the mistake as Hysén came free on goal in the second half. But he had no chance later on the winning goal from young substitute Atashkadeh. The BP players thought the scorer made a brash challenge in connection with the goal though and maybe the side deserved a draw. But in the end though, 2-1 to IFK, which now gives them still a theoretical chance of reaching Europe.
BP are in serious trouble at the moment. They made the coaching change with Björknesjö replacing Bergstrand. It didn´t make any difference this time around though.

Trelleborg met Djurgården of Stockholm. As I wrote earlier DIF seldom do play well away at Trelleborg. Todays performance was no exeption from that trend.
Trelleborg played with confidence as Jensen scored two and Pode one, before Youssef could better the scoreline to 3-1. Trelleborg had a somewhat negative trend going for them in the two previous games but came back strong in this match, creating many more chances than the BIG City boys. Djurgården looked very lackluster and almost uninterested. Surprising considering they had the chance to close the gap on the teams ahead in the League in order to reach Europe next year. Also Djurgården are the bigger side and you expect them to play better here.
Trelleborg are almost certain of playing next year in Allsvenskan. 7 points down to relegation area with 9 points left to play for. They have GAIS and IFK left to play away. And then Örebro at home.

Mjällby are strong at home and won a quite close battle against Halmstad. Two mid-table teams seemingly having less to play for, looked a bit uninterested for an hour. Than suddenly they each created three big chances during the span of 10 minutes in the second half.
But thanks to a Mjällbys strong last half an hour in the match they won deservedly in the end. One major factor in the match: El Kabir. He always looked dangerous in his searching runs forward. He also scored the 1-0 goal when he headed it home in the 67th minute. Löfqvist assisted the goal. Ekenberg the fellow attacker also had a crossbar shot later. In stoppage time Löfqvist gave us the end result of 2-0 as he finished it off beautifully with a hard shot up in the top right hand corner.

As you all know, the 27th round isn´t complete yet. But here is the current standings with three interesting clashes left to be played in the round:

    Malmö FF–Kalmar FF 0–1 (0–0)

    0–1 Daniel Mendes (86).
yellow cards, Malmö FF: Wilton Figueiredo, Jiloan Hamad. Kalmar FF: Emin Nouri, Erik Israelsson.
    referee: Markus Strömbergsson, Gävle.
    attendance: 19 258
Malmö FF (4–4–2): Johan Dahlin – Ulrich Vinzents, Yago Fernandez (Pontus Jansson 75), Daniel Andersson, Ricardinho – Guillermo Molins, Wilton Figueiredo, Rick Kruys (Dardan Rexhepi 83), Jiloan Hamad (Jimmy Durmaz 73) – Daniel Larsson, Agon Mehmeti.
Kalmar FF (4–3–3): Etrit Berisha – Emin Nouri, Paulus Arajuuri, Tobias Carlsson, Stefan Larsson – Stefan Ålander (Tobias Eriksson 59), Henrik Rydström, Erik Israelsson – Daniel Sobralense, Abiola Dauda (Douglas da Silva Vieira 87), Daniel Mendes (Johan Bertilsson 90)

As I wrote earlier , Kalmar are a side capable of beating the best when having a good day. At the same time Malmö maybe didn´t produce one of their better matches.
Kalmar had the best chance by Mendes in the first half.
Malmö countered with decent chances from Larsson and Molins. They had also a couple of other chances to score but it wasn´t to be. Kalmar in fact played very smart, tactical football. They destroyed any attempts from the home-side to be creative in central midfield. Malmö weren´t given the room to play their usual football with creativeness and ballcontroll.
Instead Kalmar through Mendes could score a shocker late on in the match. Malmö woke up from the headache and tried to press on after that but it was all too late for the SkyeBlues.....

    Elfsborg - Helsingborg 1-3 (1-1)

    goals: 0-1 (11) May Mahlangu, 1-1 (45) Mathias Florén, 1-2 (58) Erik Sundin, 1-3 (73) Erik Sundin.
yellow cards, Elfsborg: Jon Jönsson, Jepser Christiansen, Oscar Hiljemark. Helsingborg: Oscar Berglund.
    referee: Stefan Johannesson.
    attendance: 8 593

Sundin scored two and assisted one as he and Helsingborg puts serious pressure on Malmö in the Championship title-race.
Ishizaki had scored the equalizer for the homeside.
It was once again nothing spectacular from the red-shirted outfit from Helsingborg. But the collective effort impressed yet again. Sundins both goals came after two runs by him on the right flank as he then came free on Jesper Christiansen in the IFE-goal.
Elfsborg looked considerably uninterested in this match. A couple of players didn´t even seem to want to be on the pitch. And yes it was a chilly Autumn day to play football, but you still expect them to do their job. Especially considering the race towards reaching Europe next year. And also considering their fantastic home record at Borås Arena.
But still we congratulate the North-Western Scania club as they now have the same number of points as Malmö but a worse goal-difference.
This could go anyway. Malmö or Helsingborg? What do you guys think?

This is a total shame! I was so hoping Djurgarden would win the rest of their matches this season. But it sounds like Trelleborg was the better team this match, and were probably playing with a little desperation that ended up paying off.

Typical of the swedish league. The so called "better" and "bigger" teams can´t do the job in those types of games. Looking at the highlights from the game, Djurgården looked absolutely uninterested. Almost looking boored. It shouldn´t matter that the Trellleborg-fixture is a "booring" one. Their wages are higher than the Trelleborg-wages. DIF have better players at probably all positions. They are not doing their job, to put it mildly.

The bigger clubs need to be run more proffesionally. That goes for my club, IFK as well....AIK is the best example though. Jeeeeez!

To witness players not doing their job, and seemingly not caring, is frustrating to say the least. Especially when most would consider them to be better skilled than their opponents.

AIK is the best example, that's obvious looking at their record alone. But it doesn't matter, it sounds like this is a problem affecting many clubs in Sweden. What do you do though? You can't fire the entire team. Time for coaching changes?

    AIK
Some have called for the fiering squad when it comes to Alex Miller. And shure his tactical strategy is a rather simplistic one. But all in all the main reason behind their fall this season is that they got rid of their central line of players. Hooiveld and Obolo. They also got rid of good role-players such as Mutumba and Djordjic.
Another reason is simply that they seem to have some rather dubious, amateuristic staff, organizing the club (Board and staff). It is they who have gotten most of the criticism from the AIK-supporters. Chaos is the right word to describe the current situation in this club. Fiasko-season!

    Djurgården
They had a bad start to the season but has come strong in the second half. If they end up where they are, it would barely be an acceptable season though. I expect more from this club. They have downsized their organisation somewhat earlier. Changed all the staff from trainers to the board and so on. They have almost started from scratch. Their period will come when they build their new arena. Bright future I think.

    IFK Göteborg
Their season is definately not acceptable considering that they roughly have the same rooster as last year when they came second (Then one can understand how the AIK-fans feel).
While AIK almost seem to be run by the fans:eek:(putting pressure on the board and so on by different actions), the climate in this club is calmer at the moment. Generally they seem to sign good role-players rather than skilled players. I mean, the lenthening of Jakob Johanssons contract has been critisised. He is young, shure. But he is too slow. Bad technique. Few special skills. They signed Selakovic. He is skilled but old and also getting slower. They need to sign the younger and more talented players. Adam Johansson f.ex. Sports Director, Håkan Mild is very much in favour of the strong collective and creating a good atmosphere. That is good to a certain degree. But sometimes you must be a bit more elitistic and strive towards being best. Look at Malmö:

    Malmö
There you have a slightly different approach. Shure. A good climate is being created in the very young, unexperianced side. But at the same time we see them constantly rasing very skilled and talented players. Their talents are very technically sound players. Malmö will hopefully keep their best players to next year so that they can do well in Europe. They have decent finances so they should be able to keep some of them at least. They should try to avoid falling into the same hole as AIK did. The club is probably together with Elfsborg the most well organized club at the moment.

    Elfsborg
Well run club. Especially considering it is a mid-sized city. Very competent leaders in their staff. Such as Andreasson. He is looking to long-term solutions. F.ex keeping a competent coach (Haglund) for a longer period. Very good rooster. They have opted to spread their player-contracts nicely and not letting them expire all at the same time. Signing competent players for long periods. Such as Svensson and Ishizaki f.ex.

    Helsingborg
Earlier there has been some turbulance in this club in the board-rooms. But they seem to have sorted it out a bit better. Their finances are still not the best but it seems as if they have found a suitable coach and a decent collective of players.

    Örebro
I think we can put ÖSK in the same bracket as Elfsborg and Helsingborg. Semi-big clubs. They have done a fantastic trip, from being "grey" Örebro at Eyravallen. To being the entertaining, technically skilled ÖSK. Impressing everyone in Sweden. They have earned a big respect.
Probably they will loose Gerzic. I´m also wondering when they will reniew Porokaras contract. Can´t they meet his demands or does he simply want to leave. Their squad is awesome at the moment. Perfect mix....
Can they be at this level for a longer period. As we´ve seen with Elfsborg?

    Kalmar
Next year with a new arena. Will they try to be more than a mid-table team?

    (Norrköping)
Newly promoted club. They can definatly be a steady team in the top flight. That is where they belong. They can also potentially become a steady, top-half club in Allsvenskan.

    (Hammarby)
Everyone is waiting for them. Colourful club.

Other clubs that have stgnated in its progress are f.ex Halmstad. It will be interesting to follow those clubs as well. Some stagnated clubs we also see in lower divisions such as f.ex Öster and so on. Västerås, Uppsala, Jönköping f.ex. Cities that desreve better football-clubs. Swedish football need to make use of the population-basis much better.

    ----------------------------------------------

Clubs that could either be in Allsvenskan or in the Superettan. It wouldn´t matter too much for the development of the Allsvenskan:

    Åtvidaberg
    Mjällby
    Trelleborg
And so on and so on.....

Yes, Miss Fortune (in the eyes of the eternally loosing bunch of GAIS-ultras) and the own goal, helps Örebro coming closer Europe. Örebro played their usual style. Nice passing, good ballcontroll and cerativeness for most part. But the home-side actually created more chances. Played more direct. But in the end though this seem to be a really good year for Örebro. Well done! 5 points margine down now to the chasers.

A good proper group of "Kubanerna" travelled to Gothenburg to support their favourites in White and Black.:)

    Helsingborg–Åtvidaberg 3–0 (2–0)
    1–0 Alexander Gerndt (7), 2–0 Alexander Gerndt (19), 3–0 Erik Sundin (68).
    yellow cards, Åtvidaberg: Christoffer Karlsson.
    referee: Michael Lerjéus, Skövde.
    attendance: 9 200.
Helsingborg (4–4–2): Pär Hansson – Christoffer Andersson, Marcus Nilsson, Markus Holgersson, Erik Edman – Rasmus Jönsson (Mattias Lindström 79), May Mahlangu, Marcus Lantz, Rachid Bouaouzan (Ardian Gashi 66) – Alexander Gerndt, Erik Sundin (Rafael Porcelis 89).
Åtvidaberg (4–5–1): Henrik Gustavsson – Daniel Hallingström (Steinar Strömsnes 41), Erik Moberg, Alberis da Silva, Jesper Arvidsson – Haris Radetinac, Bruno Marinho (Paulus Roiha 66), Amir Suljic, Christoffer Karlsson, Kristian Bergström – Oscar Möller

Special striker Gerndt scored 1-0 after Bouaouzan`s solo show in the7th minute. Gerndt`s second goal in 19th was a decent freekick, but goalie Gustavsson could have done better in directing his defensive wall.
In the second half-in form Sundin scored 3-0 in a very easy but expected victory at their home-pitch. Although HIF didn´t impress in that it was a very dull and not especially entertaining match, they still breeze by the bottom side Åtvidaberg who in turn fights against relegation.
Helsingborg puts a lot of pressure on big brother Malmö, in Championship race.

    Gefle–Gais 1–0 (1–0)

    goal: 1–0 Jakob Orlov (39).
yellow cards, GEF: Yussif Chibsah, Richard Frempong, Hjalmar Öhagen. GAI: Björn Andersson, Richard Ekunde, Kenneth Gustafsson, Hallgrimur Jonasson.
    referee: Martin Ingvarsson, Hässleholm.
    attendance: 3 804

Even though GAIS had the clear upper hand in the first hand, Gefle were the team to score 1-0 in the 39th minute. It was Orlov heading it home from close range. Undeserved but so, so important for the Gefle team. The first half was played at a very slow pace. Not unexpected as we had one rather desperate team trying to avoid relegation meeting a mid-table side having less to play for.
We saw the same kind of pattern in the second half although Gefle defended their goal even tighter. Björn Andersson had a red hot chance late on in the half but it was saved by the competent keeper Hugosson in the Gefle-goal.
Very important win for Gefle off course......

    Djurgården-Elfsborg 4-4 (1-1)

    goals: 1-0 Prince Ikpe Ekong (14), 1-1 Självmål-Prince Ikpe Ekong (31), 1-2 Stefan Ishizaki (50), 2-2 Kennedy Igboananike (61), 2-3 Amadou Jawo (63), 3-3 Petter Gustavsson (73), 3-4 Denni Avdic (75), 4-4 Kennedy Igboananike (90+3).
yellow cards, DJU: Luis Antonio Rodriguez, Sebastian Rajalakso. ELF: James Keene, Anders Svensson.
    referee: Markus Strömbergsson
    attendance: 5397 (season low)

Many Djurgården-fans choosing not to watch this match probably regret it as 8 goals was scored in a highly entertaining match between two offensive and technically skilled teams.( It is a disgraceful attendance number for several reasons.)
Prince Ikpe-Ekong was involved in the two first goals. The first goal came in connection with a freekick where a rebound was given to Ekong who scored the easy goal. The second one came from a cross by Avdic. Ekong tried to get the ball from harms way but instead managed to score the own-goal.
The 2-1 goal in the 50th minute was the result of a goalkeeping error by Touray in the DIF goal. He misjudged a bad cross by Ishizaki, and the ball was directed into the goal. He might had given a sigh of relief in the 61st minute when Igboannanike scored 2-2 on the header off a corner-kick.
But it was to be a short-lived joy as Amadou Jawo scored 3-2 just 2 minutes later. Gustavsson though turned the tables again and scored 3-3. Avdic wanted to catch Helsingborg´s Gerndt in the goal-scorers race and scored 4-3 in the 73rd minute. The home-crowd probably couldn´t believe their eyes when Rajalakso´s hard shot hit the bar and the rebound was taken care of by Igboannanike in stoppage time. So 4-4 it ended in this very entertaining match. I like the way these two teams approaches matches. Just imagine if all teams could play as entertaining as these two teams. Well done. And congrats to the crowd....

    Kalmar-Mjällby 1-1(0-0)
    1–0 Ricardo Santos (56), 1–1 Moestapha El Kabir (69).
yellow cards, Kalmar FF: Tobias Carlsson, Mattias Johansson. Mjällby: Patrick Osiako, Daniel Nilsson.
    referee: Daniel Stålhammar, Landskrona.
    attendance: 5 394.
Kalmar FF (4–3–3): Etrit Berisha – Mattias Johansson, Paulus Arajuuri, Tobias Carlsson, Stefan Larsson – Stefan Ålander (Måns Söderqvist 89), Henrik Rydström, Marcel Sacramento (Abiola Dauda 46) – Daniel Sobralense, Ricardo Santos, Daniel Mendes (Johan Bertilsson 84).
Mjällby (4–4–2): Mattias Asper – Jesper Westerberg, Patrik Rosengren, Robin Cederberg, William Leandersson – Daniel Nilsson, Tobias Grahn (Daniel Nicklasson 82), Patrick Osiako, Johan Svensson (Adam Berner 65) – Moestapha El Kabir, Marcus Ekenberg

It was to be a rather uneventful match. Not very unexpected as both teams are situated in no-mans-land in the table having little to play for more than the usual pride playing for ones club. The two keepers, Astrit Berisha in the KFF-goal and Mathias Asper in the Mjällby goal impressed in this match. They had to capitulate though each once.
The first goal came from Santos in Kalmar. He had a nice inter-passing display with Abiol Dauda, the shot was saved by Asper but Santos scored on the rebound.
Goal snatcher El Kabir equalized close thereafter as he came free on goal making no mistake scoring behind Berisha.
Goalie Berisha on 13 attempts only have one loss. Impressive statistics.

Good question. It wasn´t raining. Their hockey-team wasn´t playing. And also the way they have played in the second half of the season. You expect the second largest club in Swedens capital to have more supporters in this game. They are also the best Stockholm team this season. Disgraceful is one fitting word according to me.....

Well done AIK. Important win for them in the relegation-battle.
IFK Göteborg lost at home to Trelleborg. Not acceptable.
Örebro have to settle for a draw at home against a hard-working BP.

yellow cards, HÄC: Friberg, Makondele. MAL: Ricardinho.

And so finally we see a top-side deliver when it matters. Unusul in Allsvenskan:rolleyes:. The win was very convincing as we can see. Well done Malmö. Now they are situated in 1st spot. Same ammount of points as Helsingborg but +29 in goal-difference compared to Helsingborgs +21.
So it is going to be close. Two rounds left. Interesting fight between two fierce, local and historical rivals.

I don't see Malmo having a tough time against BP, although Mjallby certainly could be trouble for them in the last round.

    Swedish Cup. Semifinal results:

    Hammarby-Kalmar FF 6-5 , 2–2 (2–0)after full time and peanalties: 1–0 Marcus Törnstrand (26), 2–0 Sebastian Castro-Tello (43), 2–1 Daniel Sobralense (76), 2–2 Erik Israelsson (83).
sending off, Hammarby: Sebastian Bojassén (120).
    attendance: 6 728.

Anthem before the game in a rain drenched Stockholm. Hammarby is said to be the workers-club of the City. You can almost sense some of that rough, non-glittery climate in these two videos:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW33K2S0ieA&feature=fvwk"]YouTube - just idag är jag stark, bajen-kalmar[/ame]

    Fans singing before peanalty kicks:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQRGsCZKny8&feature=related"]YouTube - Bajen-Kalmar semi svenska cupen hela straffläggning[/ame]

    Helsingborg-Mjällby 2-0 (0-0)

    1-0 Erik Sundin (64), 2-0 Holgersson (79)

    Attendance: 4 466

Hammarby showing figthingspirit beating a mid-table team, Kalmar. So Hammarby at least in the Swedish cup-final, saving the season somewhat.
But still you expect to see them in Allsvenskan. Next season they will certainly have a better team with their big sponsor, AEG supporting them. Attacker Runström has returned to the club, at least training with them. That´s a good start. But they need to make some other signings as well in order to reach Allsvenskan again.
But anyway good luck to them and Helsingborg in the Final.

Helsingborg ran over Mjällby, beating the small South-East coast team easily. They had a good line-up to this match.

Kalmar dominated for much of that game possesion-wise, but Hammarby showed more will to win this match and go through to the Final.

We can once again conclude that the Swedish Cup doesn´t seem to be that important to the swedish football crowds. At least looking at the attendance numbers. Especially in Helsingborg. For the Hammarby club this might turn out to be a very important chance to earn money and reach Europe, after a very bad season as a whole. They are also not in the best shape financially as they still have to play in Superettan.

The first match in the 29th round of the Swedish Allsvenskan:

    Gais-Trelleborgs FF 1-3 (1–0)

    goal: 1–0 Jonas Lindberg (27), 1–1 Kristian Haynes (78), 1–2 Kristian Haynes (84), 1–3 Magnus Andersson (90).
yellow cards, GAI: Jonas Lundén. TRE: Yousef Fahkro, Tuomo Turunen, Magnus Andersson, Marcus Pode.
sending off, GAI: Fredrik Lundgren (77).
    referee: Tobias Mattsson, Karlstad.

Trelleborg started positively with Marcus Pode having two really fine chances early on, but respected and competent Jankulovski in goal saved both attempts.
But it was the Gothenburg-side to score the opener. Mervan Celik as usual turned up on the right flank, delivered a good cross. Johan Lindberg put his head to it and we had 1-0 just before half an hour into the game.
For long it looked like the second club of Gothenburg would secure the Allsvenskan contract primarily thanks to a strict tactical display. But in the 77th minute we would witness the sequence that started the collective collapse of the green and black team.
Marcus Pode almost came free but was tripped by captain Lundgren. He was sent off. On the following freekick Christian Haynes scored on the rebound.
Six minutes later the same man Haynes, were to score again. This time he delivered a low hard shot to the left of Jankulovski in goal.
GAIS tried to force the comeback, but it wasn´t to be. Instead Magnus Andersson would deliver the final blow. 3-1 to Trelleborg. GAIS are still involved in the nervous relegation-battle.....

    Other matches tomorrow:

    AIK-Elfsborg:

    AIK

injuries: Karlsson, Özkan, Lorentzon are injured

    suspensions: Johnson

    Preliminary starting eleven:

Ivan Turina - Kenny Pavey, Niklas Backman, Walid Atta, Nils-Eric Johansson - Viktor Lundberg, Robert Åhman-Persson, Helgi Danielsson, Antonio Flavio - Mohamed Bangura, Goran Ljubojevic

In-form player: Victor Lundberg. Midfield talent who has stepped forward lately when needed. Scored at Halmstad. Physically strong. Good vision. He has a vicious shot.

The coach says: "We will try our best. Elfsborg is a lethal team. Let´s hope they will have slept in a low class hotel here in the City", says Alex Miller.

    Elfsborg

injuries: Berglund, Ilola and Sjöberg are all injured.

    suspensions: -----

    preliminary starting eleven:

Jesper Christiansen – Andreas Klarström, Jon Jönsson, Martin Andersson, Mathias Florén – Daniel Mobaeck, Anders Svensson – James Keene, Martin Ericsson, Stefan Ishizaki – Denni Avdic

In-form player: Anders Svensson. Midfield dynamo and Swedish NT-player. Experianced technically sound player. Few weaknesses. Directs the play with his stupendous creative vision.

The coach says: "We ought to grab at least the fourth spot. Third spot is possible if Örebro slip up. It is always special to play the big city clubs. This is one of those clubs. AIK are better than their placing, on paper. I am puzzled by their performance this year. We need to better our performances at away pitches", says Haglund.

    Bigsoccer conclusions:

*AIK are fighting intensively to stay in the league. 2 straight wins. A win against Elfsborg and they have secured a spot in next years Allsvenska.
*If we were to look at Elfsborgs away performances this year: 2 wins in 14 tries, AIK then should have a reasonable chance to grab points!?
*When Lundberg and Bangura are in good shape they usually produce the points.
*Elfsborg can beat decent teams in Europe. But they can also suddenly loose against weak Allsvenskan-sides at away pitches.
*Very unpredictable fixture in typical Allsvenskan-style.

    Halmstad-Helsingborg:

    Halmstad

    Injury: Rosén

    Suspension: -----

    Preliminary starting eleven:

Robin Malmkvist - Emil Salomonsson, Tomas Zvirgzdauskas, Johnny Lundberg, Ryan Miller - Jonas Gudni Saevarsson, Anel Raskaj, - Emir Kujovic, Michael Görlitz, Marcus Olsson - Joe Sise

In-form player: Anel Raskaj. The midfiedl talent developes nicely each year that passes. We await his stardom. Good technique. Vision. Shot. Big and strong.

The coach says: " Interesting test for us. We are situated in different ends of the league but with home advantage and support we can perhaps upset. Almost like a derby", says Jacobsson.

    Helsingborg

    injuries: Wahlstedt, Liverstam and Ekstrand.

    suspension: ----

    preliminary starting eleven:

Pär Hansson - Christoffer Andersson, Marcus Nilsson, Markus Holgersson, Erik Edman - Rasmus Jönsson, Ardian Gashi, Marcus Lantz, Rachid Bouaouzan - Alexander Gerndt, Erik Sundin

in-form player: Erik Sundin. In good goal-scoring form. If he can continue like this he can help his side to "the double".

the coach says: "We are not nervous. Malmö is the bigger club. Everyone except us, think they will win. We don´t focus on the fact that we seldom perform well at Örjans Vall in Halmstad. My players will produce a good result, I believe", says Conny Carlsson

    Bigsoccer conclusion:

*Helsingborg has won once since the year of 1959 (2003). They have to overcome these statistics if they are to have any chance at the title. Also hoping Malmö would slip up against midgets BP.
*A group of players in good shape need to deliver: Gerndt, Sundin, Lantz and Jönsson.
*Halmstad haven´t secured the contract. They have 4 points down to Åtvidaberg with two rounds left to play. Halmstad are usually strong at home, but their performance against AIK wasn´t enough to win that game though. If they win this one they secure the contract once in for all.
*Are they too strong in this fixture, Helsingborg? Interesting match.

    Kalmar-Häcken:

    Kalmar

    injuries: Östlind and Israelsson

    suspension: ----

    preliminary starting eleven:

Etrit Berisha - Emin Nouri, Paulus Arajuuri, Tobias Carlsson, Stefan Larsson - Stefan Ålander, Henrik Rydström, Tobias Eriksson - Daniel Mendes, Ricardo Santos, Daniel Sobralense.

in-form player: Daniel Mendes is Allsvenskans equivalence of "Pippo Inzaghi". Nine goals this season for the sniper. He poses a threat to any of the Allsvenskan defences with his quickness, positioning and eye for goal.

the coach says: "On the contrary to what some believe we are motivated also to this game. We always want to win. It is also the last match ever at Fredrikskans, so that motivates as well. Next year we play at brand new Guldfågeln Arena. Wonderful. Normally we expect to win at home against teams like Häcken", says Bergstrand.

    Häcken

injuries: Chatto, Pauhlino, Arkivuo and Jansson

    suspension: Makondele

    preliminary starting eleven:

Christoffer Källqvist - Johan Lind, Mattias Östberg, Emil Wahlström, David Frölund - Jonas Bjurström, Erik Friberg - Jonas Henriksson, John Chibuike, Josef Karlsson - Mathias Ranégie

in-form player: Must be Ranégie according to me. 9 goals this season. Big and strong. Lethal near goal. The most important offensive weapon for Häcken.

the coach says: Malmö played well against us. This is a different kind of opponent. Kalmar are really dangerous in the transitional game. Also they are good at set pieces. We have to watch out for several of their players. Mendes, Santos, you name them", says Gerhardsson.

    Bigsoccer conclusion:

*Häcken can be reasonably contempt with their season. Kalmar are placed in mid-table terratory. They can probably perform even better if they sign a couple more capable players to next season.
*Kalmars last game at pitoresque, Fredrikskans.
*Ranégie and Henriksson needs to have a really good day to match Kalmar.
*The trio up front for Kalmar will shurely finish of this job!? Kalmar are favourites at home against Häcken according to most experts.

    Gefle-Djurgården

    Gefle

    Injuries: ----

    suspensions: Frempong

    preliminary starting eleven:

Mattias Hugosson - Daniel Bernhardsson, Daniel Theorin, Omar Jawo, Jens Portin - Jonas Lantto, Yussif Chibsah, Mikael Dahlberg, Hjalmar Öhagen - Hasse Berggren, Jakob Orlov

in-form player: Jakob Orlov. Secured the victory against GAIS. He needs to continue his goal manufacturing if his side are to stay in the top flight.

    the coach says:
We feel happy for the moment. We won our last game and we are confident in our belief of winning the remainding matches as well. We must disturb Djurgårdens possesion football. But shure if they have a good day they are a potent side", says Olsson.

    Djurgården

    injuries: Oremo and Andersson

    suspensions: Rodriguez

    starting eleven:

Dembo Touray – Kebba Ceesay, Joona Toivio, Jani Lyyski, Petter Gustavsson – Sebastian Rajalakso, Kasper Hämäläinen, Daniel Sjölund, Sharbel Touma – Kennedy Igboananike, Christer Youssef

in-form player: Sharbel Touma. Has been awesome in the second half of the season. He has prduced a couple of game winning goals giving several points to his team. He is foremost a technically skilled player. Stupendous freekick abilities and corner taking. maybe the best at those particular abilities in Allsvenskan.

the coach says: "We are Djurgården. A big and proud club. We always want to win despite our neutral position in the league. We have fans travelling to all away games. We dissapointed them in the Trelleborg game. It won´t happen again. We are better than Gefle in most aspects. They will try to play their boring defensive football. We will play our beautiful offensive football", says a cocky Djurgården coach, Carlos Banda.

    Bigsoccer conclusions:

*A heavy win against GAIS in their last fixture. Important. But they need to win against Djurgården as they still have 1 point up to Åtvidaberg who are positioned in the qualification-spot.
*Despite the cocky and rather harsh words from the Djurgården coach, Gefle poses a difficult task for Djurgården. Will the will-power of the weaker side win over the more technically skilled Stockholm-team? The usual keys in Gefle´s games are: Compact defense and swift counterattacking moves.
*Gefle´s primitive tactics and their primitive surviving instincts will be enough, or? Can Jakob Orlov score for his Gefle maybe? Or will Djurgården`s Sharbel Touma score nonchalantly on a freekick?

    Gefle–Djurgården 2–2 (0–1)

    goals: 0–1 Christer Youssef (8), 1–1 Jakob Orlov (54), 1–2 Kennedy Igboananike (74), 2–2 självmål (90+3).
    yell.cards, DJU: Daniel Sjölund.
    referee: Stefan Johannesson, Stocksund.
    attendance: 5 093

Djurgården through the own goal by Ekong in overtime threw the 3 points away in this match. The guests from Stockholm had more ballpossesion and more chances, but still couldn´t win.
Gefle now increases their chances in the ongoing relegation battle. And Djurgården say goodbye to Europe.

    Kalmar FF-Häcken 1-3 (1–1)

    goals: 1–0 Johan Bertilsson (6), 1–1 självmål (33), 1–2 Mathias Ranégie (71), 1–3 Mathias Ranégie (80).
yellow cards, KAL: Henrik Rydström, Daniel Sobralense, Ricardo Santos.
    referee: Martin Hansson, Holmsjö.
    attendance: 6 894

Häcken surprising the so called experts by winning away at Kalmar. 6894 walking home dissapointed knowing the home side have better players in their squad, but for some reason not motivated in this match. Despite i being the last match ever at Fredriksans, and the fact that tiny club Häcken didn´t either have anything to play for.

    AIK-Elfsborg 2-0 (0–0)
    1–0 Mohamed Bangura (50), 2–0 Viktor Lundberg (75).
yellow cards, AIK: Kenny Pavey, Goran Ljubojevic, Viktor Lundberg. Elfsborg: Daniel Mobaeck.
    referee: Michael Lerjéus, Skövde.
    attendance: 11 670.
AIK (4–4–2): Ivan Turina – Kenny Pavey, Walid Atta (Niklas Maripuu 90), Nicklas Backman, Nils-Eric Johansson – Viktor Lundberg (Daniel Tjernström 76), Helgi Danielsson, Robert Åhman Persson, Antonio Flavio (Admir Catovic 85) – Goran Ljubojevic, Mohamed Bangura.
Elfsborg (4–5–1): Jesper Christiansen – Andreas Klarström, Martin Andersson, Jon Jönsson, Mathias Florén – James Keene, Anders Svensson, Martin Ericsson (Amadou Jawo 72), Daniel Mobaeck, Stefan Ishizaki (Johan Larsson 80) – Denni Avdic

Convincing and utterly important win by AIK against a difficult opponent. Elfborg though not in their best shape it seems at the moment.
AIK thanks to the victory secures the Allsvenskan contract for next year. Congraulations to them, and Allsvenskan for that matter.

    Halmstad-Helsingborg 2-4 (0–2)
    0–1 Rasmus Jönsson (18), 0–2 May Mahlangu (23), 0–3 Alexander Gerndt (64 str), 0–4 Rasmus Jönsson (66), 1–4 Anselmo (83), 2–4 Anselmo (88 str).
yellow cards, Halmstad: Kristoffer Thydell, Anel Raskaj. Helsingborg: Marcus Nilsson.
    referee: Jonas Eriksson, Sigtuna.
    attendance: 7 139.
Halmstad (4–5–1): Karl-Johan Johnsson – Emil Salomonsson, Tomas Zvirgzdauskas, Tommy Jönsson, Ryan Miller (Anel Raskaj 46) – Kristoffer Thydell (Anselmo 46), Michael Görlitz, Jonas Gudni Saevarsson, Joe Sise (Guri Suljic 76), Per Johansson – Marcus Olsson.
Helsingborg (4–4–2): Pär Hansson – Christoffer Andersson, Marcus Nilsson, Markus Holgersson (Hannu Patronen 72), Erik Edman – Rasmus Jönsson, May Mahlangu, Marcus Lantz, Rachid Bouaouzan (Ardian Gashi 55) – Erik Sundin, Alexander Gerndt (Mattias Lindström 84)

Helsinborg puts pressure yet again on Malmö in Championship race. 3 points in front but with worse goal difference. They strted positively in the match and had a lead of 4-0. But they slipped up somewhat later in the match and it eventually ends 2-4.
Halmstad though have secured the contract.

BP, Gefle and Åtvidaberg are the teams having to fight it out trying to avoid relegation. I personally won´t miss any of those particular teams I have to say. Gefle the only club amongst those with some minor potential in the future if they build a new stadium. But right now, no.

Welcome Norrköping. Hopefully Sundsvall wins in the qualifying matches.
