    here
Question for whomever on the thread lives in Netherlands - preferably Amsterdam.

My family will be in Amsterdam on 12/22, when Ajax has a Sunday afternoon match against Den Haag. We would like to go to the match.

If there is anyone who could tell me how can we buy the tix online? Or, over the phone?

Also, info about do's, don't's, what part of the stadium to buy tix in, is there a tailgating culture with Dutch football? Anything else I'd need to know, I would really appreciate it. We can take it to the "message" part of the board.

You can buy directly from their site: https://www.ajax.nl/wedstrijden-tickets.htm
You can buy from viagogo or Stubhub:

    https://www.viagogo.com/Sports-Tick...r/Dutch-Premier-League/Ajax-Amsterdam-Tickets

    https://www.stubhub.com/afc-ajax-tickets/performer/1518944/

And you can also sometimes find private sellers on marktplaats, but be careful because sometimes there's scammers selling fake tickets: https://www.marktplaats.nl

I would not wait till the last week though because they are often sold out quickly

Such fluid passing in the first half. Feyenoord really look dreadful and have no clue about what is going on. Serghino Dest has had a very nice first half.;)

Dominating play by Ajax and only some fine saves from Vermeer kept the score from getting really out of hand. Passing and pressing were first rate and the few chances Feyenoord created were short circuited by their own sloppy play and poor decision making. Onana was a bit fortunate with the clean sheet as two breakaways ended up in futility.

    Player Ratings:

Onana (6.5) - not much to do in terms of making tough saves
Tagliafico (7.5) - finely take goal and really all over the pitch
Blind (8) - anticipation was first rate and I don't think he made a bad pass all match long
Veltman (7.5) - some good interventions and solid play
Dest (7) - good going forward and his passing was fine; a couple of problems on defense that need to be corrected
Martinez (7.5) - bossed the MF today
van de Beek (8) - good play in all aspects of the game
Promes (7.5) - solid game with passing and finding open space
Ziyech (7.5) - excellent on the ball and squeezed a nice shot past Vermeer for the match winner
Tadic (7) - did some good work holding the ball and finding the players who were in dangerous areas
Neres (7.5) - played the full 90 with a nice goal and very good movement off the ball
Gravenberch (6) - got more than a run out today and had some good touches
Alvarez (5.5) - on late in the central defense
Traore (NR) - on with only a couple of minutes left

Away to PEC Zwolle next week

  9. Yup. Attack wise I've no problems with him, I tend to see him more like a midfielder. Defense wise he sucks major league. Just take a good look at the attack that brought 4 Feyenoord players in the box (they managed not to score:rolleyes:).
Dest was still about 15 meters from the Feyenoord box!!!! The ball and the whole Feyenoord attack were in his box for C..sake.

I just moved all the Dest NT US or Netherlands to the thread on players for the NT. Don't clog up the Ajax team thread with posts such as this when there is a thread for them.

The team is just so much better with Donny deeper. He can connect the defense and attack so well. Really strong passing and on the ball. I am still dumbfounded why ten Hag didn't use this lineup against Chelsea.

I also think Promes has to start every match he can. IMO he's been our best attacker this year.

So I like that Mazraoui got the start vs PEC. He played very well last year and these are perfect games to help him get into form a bit, which could be important down the line.

But why not play Schuurs instead of Veltman? Schuurs played great in pre-season but since then has been totally iced out. Why not give him a run in a game like this? He needs to start being worked in, it seems like there is no real plan with him or Pierie atm...

They need to rip up all this artificial surface in the Eredivisie and turn the stuff into soda bottles. all three Ajax MFs got subbed off in the match, two for injury and van de Beek as a precaution because he was carrying a YC. Very good play in the first 20 minutes of the match and on the final goal but lots of indifferent play in between. Very dicey defending by both full backs let PEC back in the match.

    Player Ratings:

    Onana (6) - OK match
Tagliafico (5.5) - some poor positioning on defense
    Blind (7) - strong enough
    Veltman (7) - good game
Mazraoui (5.5) - beaten badly several times
Martinez (6) - good until he had to come off
van de Beek (6) - not much of a factor and a silly YC
Ziyech (7.5) - didn't get on the scoreboard but his passing was first rate
Promes (7) - two well taken goals
Tadic (7) - some nifty footwork in the box
Neres (7) - good game and it looks like he is back in form
Alvarez (4.5) - poor on the 2nd goal and had to come off with an injury
Gravenberch (6) - had some good minutes
Marin (6) - good play coming on for the final 20 minutes

Chelsea coming up in London and we will need to see about how the injuries are.

  19. So next week Veltman in the rightback position vs Chelsea I guess.
Edit: has Perr Schuurs already played CL minutes?

Are you kidding me on 7-Veltman?? He was too scared to even go into the tackle on the 3-2 goal.

    What a pussy!!

He would have risked a RC had he gone for the tackle. It was the fault of Alvarez that he got into that position.

  24. So how is ten Hag going to face Chelski?
Mazra may be fit again but misses match rythm due to his lack of minutes this season. You can't risk Dest giving those chances that young chap except one kept missing in Amsterdam. I expect Veldman in the rb position, which means either Perr Schuurs or Alvarez on the cd spot.
Or ten Hag adopts Jaap Stam's kamikaze attacking formation and goes for a swift number of goals scored and uses Dest in that scenario.
