sissoko to come on for Son.

while his touch has been poor, Son the only one attacking the goal, IMO

Sissoko is not even in the same library let alone the same page as the rest of the squad.

A shame, other results around the league would have made 3 points very important.

Opportunity missed, but there is a reason you play the games. It's going to take a massive collapse from Chelsea now, for anyone to catch them.

Shows just how important Rose is to us. He was on the attack and providing pace and width but when he came off it all seemed to slow down and get very narrow.

in all fairness, rodwell should've been off and then the result could've been different...

NBCSN kept crashing my computer so I wasted a lot of effort to see a really crappy match. Really quiet match from Dele and Kane. At least we didn't lose ground.

Poch will not go to the 3 at the back system as long as Vertongen is out (can't say I blame him because Dier and Wimmer have been a shambles in that formation). Unfortunately, when we play a back 4, it limits the freedom of Walker and Rose to wreak havoc on the opposition and it makes it easier for the opponent to sit back like Sunderland did. In a back 4 system, we have no pace to trouble opponents and our play becomes very deliberate. There is really nobody on the bench to come on and change the game.

Despite the poor result, I am pleased with the development of the club (you only have to rewind a decade to see the difference). As a collective, Spurs are as good as anyone, but I feel we are one or two elite players away from seriously challenging for titles. Whether the financial structure of the club allows for the acquisition of such talent remains to be seen. Will the new stadium change that? Who knows.
