He doesn't like anyone American. Its been linked on a couple of Everton sites that are far from reliable.
Most I've seen is today he publically reiterated his desire to return to Everton. Admits nothing has happened and he's happy to stay in L.A. if no transfer occurs. The rumors of Citeh wanting him persist though. http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/usa/story/Landon-would-love-Toffees-return
that's nice. back on topic please. I don't like Landon either. yeah he did better in EPL than I thought he would but i just. don't. like him. i can't explain it. meh. will only believe it when it happens. mls isnt gonna let him go for anything we could really afford. if we sell someone big (yak? peanut?) then it might give more weight to buying l-do but honestly until that happens, i don't think he's coming back, except on loan
And on the opposite side, I'd love to see him back with Everton this season. But you're right, I think MLS expectations in regards to $$ are just too cost prohibitive for us.
I was watching the Milk Cup Final the other day and the folks doing the commentary say that Zac MacMath is likely to go to Everton.
Another report on skysports has Moyes saying the million we spent on our frenchman is probably the extent of our tranfers. Seriosuly we need some kind of investor to come along. Our only hope I think is to see what names become available as a result of the new home grown rule. Man city looks like they are going to have a yard sale just before the transfer window shuts.
I think Citeh's interest has inflated the price tag. MLS clearly don't want to lose their talisman, especially after his heroics in the WC. But since everyone has his price, they've thown up a ridiculous figure and if someone wants him badly enough, they have to pay it. Puts clubs like Everton, who could probably afford what he's really worth, out of the bidding.
Barca is interested in Arteta: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1299894/Cesc-Fabregas-frustrat ion-leads-Barcelona-Evertons-Mikel-Arteta-alternative-Arsenal-captain.html
lol Fellaini just destroyed a CD Everton player. Beckford looks poor at holding up the ball. He has fallen over twice now trying to hold it up in the past 5 minutes.
Billy with a great finish off a Fellaini knock down off a corner. You knew it was going in the second he hit it.
Arteta was great. Pienaar worked his ass off as usual. Fellaini was pretty good winning balls in the midfield. The Gueye kid is pretty impressive (assist on the Beckford goal). Overall a good performance from everyone although we should've won by 5-6 goals.
A stroll in the park and a waste of everyones time and money. 1 meaningful attack from them of any note (straight after Becks goal) summed up a pretty woeful Chilean side
Nah, the money went to charity and I had a good time. Wasn't a waste of money to me at all, so defo not everyone
