Over Zaha? Yes. Every day of the year. Esp. as Zaha would likely cost as much as he's english. Balotelli is probably one of the top 25 strikers in the world. And you could make an argument (a losing one IMO, but an argument) that he's no worse than Suarez. Besides we have one of the greatest man-managers in the game as our manager. He'd either buck up and join the team, or he'd be out.
Well in that respect it certainly is a like-for-like replacement... He's a madman. I took the comment out of context because it was specifically about Mario v. Zaha, but still. Do not want Balotelli.
Aye yiy yiy...you're kidding, right? Balotelli has some talent and can occasionally do something "magical" but his work rate and antics are no match for Señor Suarez...I hesitate to mention them in the same sentence... to clarify - no thanks to Balotelli and no thanks to Zaha...
Ageing 31 year old right back anyone? https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/liga-liverpool-lining-bid-dani-alves-105423742--sow.html
Bony's back in the rumours: http://www.exeterexpressandecho.co....ool-Cuadrado/story-22070986-detail/story.html
Yeah we desperately need a striker. We apparently have two new fullbacks coming in so that need might be fulfilled. I never want to see Glen Johnson at left back again.
if Johnson wasn't such a lazy git, maybe he could play right wing, but he's a jogger, not a runner. watch him stand at the centre loine and wave 'is harms loike 'e wuz a bleedin' futbawlah, yeah.
Glen seems to be resting on his laurels rather a lot. Did he sign a new contract recently or is this his last season? Perhaps all the talk coming from the management and squad about being happy with the strike force available is to prevent paying over the odds because we're "desperate".
Bony would be a great signing. The deal for Moreno needs to be finalized soon so the business people can move on to more important targets. Can't let Spurs get Bony.
If their is a complaint in this window it's 1) deals dragging too long for players BR clearly wants (Moreno) - I get the club is being tough/judicious, 2) putting all the eggs in the Remy basket for a striker.
It should be interesting to see if Bony is the man we target. Remy was a good fit in that he is very pacy and has a similar playing style to Sturridge. He also is capable of playing in a wide role and playing in the same team as Sturridge. Bony is more of a true center-forward, and does not seem to fit into the same team as Sturridge without changing our system. He would be an excellent alternative to Sturridge and would allow us to play in a different way. However, that is what Lambert was signed for. And Rodgers has been sure to point out that he believes Ricky Lambert is important to the squad. With that said, I still think Bony would be a good signing.
