looks v certain he will be.

Chelsea ina real bind - the 2-window ban on buying players means that .... for now anyway .... if he does leave they can't replace him. :)

    What a shame.

But I mean, look at it this way... they probably shouldn't even finish top 4 this season WITH him, so even if they keep him how good will they really be next year, and after that they may lose him for nothing. Is that better?

    New gossip!

Rafa Camacho is apparently unhappy he isn't more involved with the first team and is eager to leave at the end of next season on a free.
Lad, you're 18 and behind 4 international players that played at the World Cup - give yourself a minute.

Liverpool are ready to bid 40m for Ajax star David Neres.
Kid looks legit. And we've got the Brazilian contingent to woo him with.

West Ham have moved to the front of the pack to sign Liverpool's England right back Nathaniel Clyne.
Was a good soldier for us - but a team fighting for 7th is probably where he belongs.

Likely as not that Ajax is just ramping up the price for whoever eventually buys him.

We've upgraded but good luck. West Ham and Crystal Palace always seem to give us good money for our unwanted.

not sure if this is worth a thread of its own ... but ....

if you could sign one player from another Prem team, who would it be?

to avoid everyone picking (say) Aguero, Hazard, Zaha and so on - confine it to players who are NOT their team's superstar.

for me it'd be Willian. or maybe Son.

    Son, hands down.
His ability to play across the front 3 and his boundless levels of energy would make him perfect for us.

Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has mentioned Liverpool’s interest as he discusses the future of playmaker Thorgan Hazard.

Son is a really good shout, hard to argue with him right now... Rashford would be another good idea for a player that could play across the whole front three.

I think what LFC could really use, apart from the versatile Firmino replacement/depth, is a hard working mid who is also creative... so while Eriksen hasn't had the best year he's on that list for me. He used to be much higher on that list, I guess he's struggled with injuries a bit? Couple seasons back he was 3 key passes and almost half an assist per 90.

Also would take a look at Jimenez. Or you know who'd be really good? Raheem the Dream.

But yeah, I'd take Son in a heartbeat.

I like him too, ewibe. I think he'll be an important player for Arse.

Just watching the Leicester-Toon match and that Maddison is impressing me and not for the first time. I wouldn't mind if we put a bid in for him this summer . I think he'd make a nice replacement for Lallana in the squad.

He’s very good, I admit, I recall his making a mug of our players in the centre of the park.

    And so it starts.

The ... say that while Thorgan Hazard ‘has been pushing’ to join Borussia Dortmund this summer, both Liverpool and Arsenal ‘will look to hijack a deal’. The forward ‘has been on Liverpool’s radar’ for years, while Unai Emery is ‘a massive fan’.

Spanner, meet works. Le10Sport say Liverpool have ‘ticked’ Nicolas Pepe on their ‘shortlist’, clearly impressed with his 20 goals and 14 assists in 36 games this season. The story also links PSG, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Barcelona to Pepe, but Liverpool will ‘take a stand’ over a player worth a reported £70m.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are ready to trigger Bayern Leverkusen forward Julian Brandt's release clause, according to Sport Bild. Germany international Brandt would only cost £21.5m, which seems a steal in this market.
If true, this deal MUST be done - he can play out wide in the front 3 or in one of the advanced roles in our midfield trio.

    Agreed.

We need - left back, versatile attacker (Brandt, Werner), and maybe a CB.

Liverpool have told Atletico Madrid that Marko Grujic will cost €40 million.

Wolves and Sporting Lisbon want Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho.

I want Grujic to replace Lallana in the squad for next season, but 40M feels like a price too good to pass up. That said, we just have to turn around and spend that money on whoever we would bring in, so might as well give him a season to see if he can work his way in to the rotation.

Not sure I'd be selling Camacho just yet even though he seems to be bugging to go and doesn't want to be a RB. A loan to either of those clubs would probably be good for him if we don't expect him to be fully integrated into the squad next year.
