Given similar purchases that not only Porto, but Sporting and Benfica, have made in the past in plucking these in-form strikers from smaller clubs, this is very likely the case.

Suk had a goal ruled offside correctly, and otherwise, not much from Suk until now given that Setubal can't even get a hold of the ball.

Slimani (quite a familiar name :whistling:) is on fire for Sporting.

EDIT: Great goal from Sporting. 4-0 now.

    EDIT: 5-0. Great goal again.

Good news is that FC Porto is flopping hard, and is drawing 1-1 with Rio Ave, 4 minutes to go.

    EDIT: 6-0 Sporting.

If there's any Korean footballer (behind CBK and PJS) that should have a movie made about his life, it should be Suk.

that algerian team was/is so good. mahrez, slimani, soudani, bentaleb. they just exploded onto the scene in brazil. silly thinking how much we discounted them.

It'll be him scoring the winning goal in the 2022 final. The sub climax will be him scoring the winning goal in the 2016 olympics final.

From what I saw, the biggest problem for Porto is that there is no-one distributing the ball in the midfield. Lots of possession, but lots of pointless running.

Damn, I forgot Mahrez was Algerian as well.

And the sub-plot is Ali Adnan winning ballon d'or while playing for Barcelona. :coffee::whistling:

ah don't do this again. HMB did not do well enough period. circumstances sucked but his record and the performance at brazil is his legacy.

That Algeria team completely outplayed Germany in the 2014 World Cup is depressing that they didn't win

Can't have it both ways. That was an awesome Algerian side we lost to and was the source of angst. No shame in unbiased hindsight.
