Arsenal are eyeing a summer move for Dortmund's Neven Subotic, sources have told ESPN FC: http://t.co/hNUDr8XUXu pic.twitter.com/4NtHSR3pmi— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) March 10, 2015
Not quite about Subotic. but it appears that a deal has been concluded to take Hummels to Man United. Doubtful they'll let Subotic go as well for any part of 2015/16, unless he starts agitating for a move.

I have a friend who has American citizenship, and he's currently on vacation overseas. Can he get a thread too???
@Gamecock14 is exactly right. He's still a YA despite the fact that he's cap-tied to another country. Nobody is required to look at this thread if they disagree.
Despite having US citizenship...he snubbed the US. He should not be considered a YA. I like this thread, so I don't care if it stays open...I read it. But the fact that some guys still claim him as a YA after him saying "no" to the USMNT is rather sad.
Subotic qualifies as a YA because he meets the technical standards: he is/was eligible for citizenship in the US. As noted elsewhere, this is the standard used from the very start of this forum a long time ago and we are not going to change it. "Claiming" him as a YA has nothing to do, at this stage of his career, with regret over his decision. The thread persists here for the same reason many others do: people are curious about the depth, breadth and variety of the US soccer family tree. They should be allowed to exercise that (largely academic) curiosity in peace.
I know why he qualifies....I don't have issues with that, or this thread. I am also not asking for change. And people are allowed to exercise whatever they want, I've never objected to that either...and if I did, who am I to do so? No one. I'm just a bit surprised that people would still choose to include him as a yank after he gave his back to the USMNT not once, but twice.
Your surprise is noted It's not about playing for the national team... Most yanks abroad a lot of us have followed have been nowhere near good enough to play for the usmnt... From the Swedish 3rd division to league of Ireland to Icelandic premier league games... We just find it interesting
