Hi, Any big soccer members own/owned a Forester? Hubster and I are thinking of getting one.

We test drove it this weekend, and we like how it drives. I'm pretty impress of the gas mileage considering it's an SUV.

So owners or previous owners, what do you like or not like about the Forester?

    Thanks in advance.

Had friends who flipped one and heard there were issues with that. My mother had an outback and liked it a lot.

I've had mine for about a week now, and I LOVE it. The ride is fantastic, it's comfortable as all hell, it's got tons of neat little features that I'm still finding and it feels like driving a convertible with the sunroof open. If you have any specific questions, let me know (and just as an FYI, this is my first Subaru, so I'm not one of those cult like Subie people. I'm coming from a Ford Escort).

I am one of the cult like people I guess since I am on my second Subie.

We're almost as bad as Metrofans;)

The Subaru Forester, is a tall, all-wheel drive station wagon manufactured since 1997 by Subaru currently in its third generation and now marketed as a compact crossover. The Subaru Forester article on Japanese Wikipedia, the name is coined to imply "a resident of the forest." The third generation and now features a hybrid platform of the Japanese Impreza wagon and the rear platform of the U.S. spec Impreza sedan.
