I just got into MMA not too long ago, and I'm recording this one. Not sure what to expect, but one of my friends said that the main event has the best fighter in MMA involved, so I'm pumped. I'm watching the Evangelista/Gurgel fight on SHO right now, nothing too impressive so far.

Fedor cuts easily in a lot of his fights, so I knew the blood wasn't as big an issue as the announcers made it out to be. The thing that makes Fedor the best fighter in the world is his calmness/boarderline indifference. Broken nose, OK. On the bottom getting punched in the face, switches hips turns it into an arm bar. Routinely fighting guys who are bigger and stronger, no problem. His mental game is far and away the best in the sport.

Talk about a knockout, wow. The impact was so loud you could hear it over the crowd. He CLOBBERED Rogers with that hook. Very exciting stuff.

I'm very interested to see how Rogers deals with this loss. I think he gave Fedor a bit too much respect, and was very hestitant throughout the match. Considering the huge gap in experience between the two the result makes sense. If Rogers wins his next game or two i can see him being Fedor's first title defense, assuming ofc Fedor gets the title.

This is it right here. Dude takes everything in stride. Anyone else remember when Kevin Randleman dropped Fedor on his head and then calmly got an armbar for the submission? He's got ice water in his veins.

Rogers was doing well up to that point, though - certainly won round one. Had to have sucked to be him when Fedor said that he read his foot patterns to get a feel for when he could throw that KO punch.

Also, Miller's ring entrance was straight out of Lucha Libre style. Too bad he couldn't live up to it, though he did well.

-- Anyone else catch the UFC counter-programming on Spike? The DVR certainly got a workout here.

Nope, cause this Strikeforce card was dope. I would love to see A Silva match up w/ Gegard Mousasi.

I love Mayhem, but he needs to improve his defensive wrestling. If he did, considering his sub defence is borderline the best I've ever seen and he has a great chin, I think he could beat most guys in his division. How many times has he given BJJ guys his back and not gotten choked? If he had better wrestling, he'd be an exciting fighter.

I watched a bit of UFC in between, but having seen all those fights live wasn't really interested.

Why would anyone watch fights that alredy happened opposed to live fights.

Mousasi is amazing, im convinced he would beat anderson silva. Fedor had a good fight, i found he won the first round. All rogers did was land one jab and hit him with like 3 punches on the ground. While Fedor had a kimura/armbar attemps and even rocked him.

Shields is the lay n pray king

Have you seen Shields fight before??? I have & I can tell you that his jj is serious. If you are not careful, you will tapout. Also, Shields had to gain 5 pounds before he took this fight w/ Mayhem. I think Shields vs. GSP would be an excellent fight & I would pay good money to see it.

    So you consider this lnp??

So who would be a better opponent for GSP??? They both weight the same...175. To me, it's a perfect matchup, but it won't happen.

Had to miss a couple of the UFC fights that they showed, so was good to see them. YMMV.
