Yeah it would be wise for us to be on call to do rotating thread-starting duty.

OTOH, maybe the team will go on one of those March/April good runs of form that we've seen in the past. Anyone willing to hold their breath for that one?

p.s. Getting walloped twice in 5 days by Citeh is one thing. Losing to Brighton is quite another. If that happens, queue the media sharks circling Wenger. Even the Europa trophy would probably not be enough to avoid the inevitable?

530 PST... A few years ago my biological clock was automatically set to wake up early for Arsenal games. Nowadays it's not even worth it.

Should wenger be sacked when we don’t win this game?

He should have been sacked four or five times previously. No reason to expect any change now.

Should have been sacked at the end of last season.

This is a hard read, guys....

Apparently players held a meeting on Tuesday, without Wenger or any of the other coaches to try and fix this situation. A senior player with two kids (has to be Koz) apparently lead the meeting, and at one point was reduced to tears.

The players were basically pleading with each other that they need guidance from the manager, and nothing is coming.

So a win tomorrow means what? .....nothing. This is a team that a good Arsenal would roll 9 times outta 10. A win tomorrow would be extremely hollow, means nothing and gives me zero comfort. A loss means what....disaster? after which (if that happens) absolutely nothing will change. Dead in the water match. Don't care what happens either way.

Arsenal are 14 points ahead of Brighton and 13 points out of 4th place. A Brighton 2-1 win wouldn't surprise me.

OK, in what is perhaps another sign of my slightly diminished support, I'm choosing to go skiing tomorrow while we're playing. 2+ feet dumped on the Catskills would do that. And I will do something I rarely do which is to listen to the match on the car radio, rather than save it for a later viewing on my DVR.

So all of this probably ensures a victory. ;)

Also, since this is the game thread, meh. Can easily see us winning since that’s what we do when Wenger’s back gets up against the wall and people start finally questioning things. Knock off a couple of wins to ease the heat.

Turned on just a few minutes late to see BHA celebrating a goal.

I’m shocked Ozil signed on to this mess. Makes me question his mentality honestly. Who would want that?

It’s one thing to look bad against Citeh, but this performance shows the locker room has lost all faith. So uninspired.

Not saying this about Ozil, specifically, but Arsenal is where lazy and mentally-fragile players with little footballing brain now come to play. Low expectations, a coach who will always blindly and stubbornly support you, lots of money, etc. It's like being on vacation. You come to Arsenal when you care little about winning trophies and/or are not trophy-winning caliber.

Never agreed with him starting for a team with any kind of aspiration. The fact that he has played so much could give people the impression he actually deserves to start. He doesn't and never really did.

Good thing we have the likes of Holding, Welbeck, and Elneny on the bench!

Was there even any real competition to sign Kolasinac? Budesliga LB of the year for free - why wouldn't everyone else want to snap him up? At least as a backup?

it so sad that Wengers legacy will end on an ugly ugly ugly note. I used to feel bad for him when the "Wenger Out" banners would fly. But not anymore. You've overstayed your welcome old man and now your truly damaging the Club. Apparently he's too arrogant or senile to realize he just needs to GO AWAY!
