It really does not. What matters is the timing of this somewhat seismic event in club history.
Perhaps this will motivate players to win Europa league in Wenger’s last season.

Man .. with all of this faults..deserves a classy ending.

I guess I care because, if true, it raises questions: who forced Wenger out? Was it Kroenke? Did Gazidis somehow assemble the power to do it? I'm not going to stop rooting for Arsenal because Wenger is no longer there (though if Wenger manages elsewhere, I'll root for that team too).

The flip side to that is, even if he was forced out because the current situation is intolerable, so what? It's only because of the work he's done over the past twenty-two years that we've raised our standards to the point that we think the current situation sucks.

There is a sense of entitlement among the Arsenal fan base, engendered in large part by Arsene's success during his first 10 years as manager. No long suffering fans here.

The only issue if he was forced out is was it a single persons decision or multiple people. Because the board should be acting in the benefit of the club and if the board decide the way forward is a new manager, well thats what the board is there for.

But an individual forcing someone out is playing with fire. Because thats a snowball you can't stop. I don't want Arsenal to be a club where the owner cracks the shits every 2 years and we go from 1 manager in 22 years to 5 managers in 7 years.

Guardian reporting today seems to indicate he lost the backing of the board (i.e. Stan) so quit while he still could.
