Yeah Wenger is an arrogant clown not changing his dinosaur staff Boro is about 700 and Leyton is supossed to be a shit coach
Did anyone honestly think he was going to change? The coming train wreck of the next season or two should be horrendous to watch.
I just hope he stays clear enough and long enough to see the damage that his decisions cause Arsenal, the club he claims to love. He is running this into the ground.
Lack of "Football intelligence" seems to be a criticism reserved for black players IMO There was an interesting review of the All Blacks player profiles for the 2015 worldcup All the Pacifica fellas were "physical weapons" Often the white guys possessed "great rugby brains" No brown player was linked to rugby intelligence - only whiteys
In sports with less political correctness such as UFC, McGregor is considered a physical specimen while Anderson Silva is considered a master tactician. Even in boxing, Mayweather is considered one of the smartest, if not the smartest boxer of all time.
I guess I am just very suspicious of this term in football because we just seldom here it applied to white players and we still seem to have the idea that teams need to have a strong white leader because the black players start sulking/pouting so easily In Rugby in the 90s it was still OK to claim that pacific players lacked the ability to play "structured rugby"
Because a mod in the arsenal forum is an anti arsenal troll..lol. Upset your lot havent won shit sine 1991?
It's common in the nba for the white guy to be scrappy and clever and the black guy an athlete beast etc
To be fair Alli is "new black" and therefor suitably white to not offend. It's a real issue actually, we already had issues dealing with the whole light skin situation. People of mixed origins are starting to replace fully ethnic individuals in media. I find it is the most advanced in the US, but it's cropping up everywhere.
In the case of the all black website profiles - a friend called out the guy who wrote them on FB He was completely unaware of it - and then hugely embarrassed. It's a subtle thing. More of a bias - like judging women by the appearance first at work See the two below. There is no reason to think Nonu had any less Rugby Intelligence than Smith. But Nonu looks like a "weapon" MA'A NONU The explosive Ma'a Nonu has built a reputation as one of the toughest marks in world rugby, able to break the line, off-load the ball and set up or score scintillating tries. A broken arm during the 2014 Investec Rugby Championship campaign brought his season to an end but his rugby thrived after the long enforced rest as well as being back in Wellington and Nonu had a stellar season back at the Hurricanes, after three seasons away, showing off both his devastating defence and attacking swagger. http://www.allblacks.com/Player/AllBlacks/587 CONRAD SMITH The senior statesman of the All Blacks midfield, Conrad Smith can call on both skills and smarts to achieve success. His sund rugby brain, firm defence and ability to run great lines and spark his backline colleagues means that he leads by example in any side for which he plays. As a centre Smith stands out with his pace, anticipation, ability to read a game and in marshalling a defensive pattern.
it should be better, actually, once you weed out the folks who can't be bothered with the embarrassment of upper-mediocrity.
Two weeks before players come back to training, and the club still has yet to appoint the Head of the Youth Academy. Wenger is such a ********up.
The one thing I keep thinking about all this, about the things that appear to be hinting at our usual transfer ineptitude and apparent Wenger victory of no change, is that when everything plays out like most believe it to, no one will be questioning who is at fault. This will be on Kroenke some, no doubt, but finally, finally, everyone will see how Wenger is to blame for most of it. He's got no place to hide whatsoever now. Sadly, the dude will STILL stay for both years.
I agree. I think the best we could hope for is to dump Alexis and get Lukaku (and Lemar or a player like him). His first touch can be bad but that's really the only negative for me. He's good with the ball once he controls it, he finishes better with his feet than Giroud. Giroud has good instinct and desire for fighting for a ball within 10 yards of goal but Lukaku makes up for that and more with with far superior physical attributes. I was thinking the other day and it occurred to me that Alexis might be the best player ever at a team sport who makes his teammates worse (at least I can't think of a better one). And given that Wenger is back and the related unstability of management, we can't afford that.
