I can’t think of any 17 year olds that start for any team to be fair. He has to stay for another year anyway we don’t have a choice in that. And no point deciding to loan him out next year now, we don’t know where he will be at in terms of development. What peers?
Came off the bench again and got a goal. Probably should have had an assist or two as well. What do this kid need to do to start?
Kid making an impact in every game now. Good. He's getting used to pro level. The way market has ended up, 45 ME is just about the market value for a RM squad player these days. If he ends up being a RM starter few years from now, it will be a bargain.
Looking good to me, making an impact. I think this kid could be something in Europe due to his pace and strength. Needs to work on first touch though, really rough at times (even for a 17 year old). Still, good stuff!
🇧🇷 Globoesporte:▫️As a professional Vinicius Jr has made a better start than Neymar, Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus▫️The 17-year-old has only accumulated 1,380 minutes, but he has already scored more goals (8) than the other three stars after they completed 1,500. pic.twitter.com/uCPoX2f68j— RmadridEdition (@RMadridEdition) February 23, 2018
Vinicius Junior to join Real Madrid ahead of the 2018/19 season Already the teenager has spent a year with the Flamengo first team and he is now showcasing his talent, after a few months of physical adaptation. Even though some of his skills have provoked anger from opponents and some members of the public, Real Madrid are not worried about this. What they are worried about is the risk of Vinicius Junior getting injured in Brazilian football. The plan, then, is for the youngster to move to Madrid in the summer and to work with the first-team squad in preseason, after which a decision will be made on whether he forms part of the senior squad for the 2018/19 season or if he goes out on loan. If he is loaned out, the intention is for him to go to a European club, not a Brazilian one. http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2018/02/26/5a92ee15ca47415f628b4678.html
Loan him out directly, he doesn't need a preseason with us if he's not in our plans. I don't mind him spending a couple of weeks with the squad, but both parties should look forward to finding a proper club for him to develop further.
Vinicius finally got a start this past Saturday and played the full 90, but Flamengo got wrecked by Fluminense 4-0. Can't seem to find any highlight videos. Their next match is on Wednesday
Nah i disagree, it will definitely give him a push. Going from huge prospect to being kicked around by Lucas Perez venting his frustration on some kid on loan is kind of lame. Pre season at a mid table club isn't all that important anyway, you work with about 3 coaches in one season anyway.
Clearly nonintentional, too much inertia, tried to turn and slipped. Unlucky. If anything he should be careful with plays like these, could easily pop his ligaments.
That's just a clumsy tackle by an inexperienced player. Not a red. This is a situation where he just needs to do less, not an area for improvement.
Played the full 90 minutes at the weekend but unfortunately, Flamengo lost 1-0. They were down a man for the last 20 minutes as well. Looks like he was highly involved despite the poor result. Had his share of mistakes, but he also had a few filthy skills as well. Also had a shot hit the post. I also like the development of his body and physique, looks like he is growing in size. Flamengo play again tonight
He could have won them the match in the first half. I agree @MiamiNative0722 he seems to be physically developing slowly, getting there. I don't see the Neymar talent (those of you who have been here long know Mbappe was nothing to my desire for us to sign Neymar lol) but he is well worth what we paid. His value is probably going to double before he even puts on a Madrid shirt. Good business by Zidane! (since people actually believe he makes the major transfer decisions lol).
