When it comes to over-the-top Bale/Benzema criticism around here, you run into serious Poe's Law problems.
Vinicius Junior will not go to Under-17 World Cup Decision made between Flamengo and Real Madrid Vinicius Junior will not take part in Brazil's quest to claim gold in the Under-17 World Cup in India and will remain with Flamengo after a decision was made between them and Real Madrid. The 17-year-old, owned by Real, will instead have to wait for the next international competition to showcase his skills on the field with his national team. "We want the best for Vinicius, he's an intelligent and important player for the national team, but he has not participated in the preparation weeks that they have had," the Flamengo coach Reinaldo Rueda said in a recent press conference. "He knows that he could have gone and helped, but he also wants to respect the situation. He knows there are good players in the squad and so he is going to stay with us. "We hope Brazil will succeed in the World Cup." Vinicius Junior was going to be the star of the tournament but the publication Globo Esporte revealed that there was an agreement that stated he would go if Flamengo won the cup in Brazil and that did not happen. http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2017/09/29/59ce8dbbe5fdea6f0c8b4686.html
This is hilarious. The tournament in which he was supposed to finally showcase his real worth to doubters such as me, and now he's apparently too fragile and insecure to do so. Are you having a laugh, mate? Paid 40 million euros for a kid who still wears braces, doesn't play in youth tournaments, and can't even break into the Flamengo starting line-up. And then people turn around and defend the club when it turns out that we can't pay up when we need to for properly talented players like Mpappé, despite us giving Benzema his hundreth contract extension with yet another salary bump. #Genius
Barely playing for Flamengo doesn't really do anything for him either. I think this would have been a good opportunity for us to see how he does against kids his own age. He is defintely struggling against the big boys in the Brasileirao.
Clearly we don't want him under any spotlight at this moment in time. This is a clear indication that we don't have much confidence in him at this moment and want to give him more time to settle as a pro. Not a good sign to be honest.
The U-17 WC meant nothing. Most of the Golden Ball or Show Award winner went onward to do nothing much in their careers. Kroos, Fabregas, Donovan and Anderson won the Golden Ball, but they were about the only names on the award winners list that is recognised. Messi, Ronaldo 9 and Ronaldo 7 did not go.
What's with the excuses, not like he's starting for Flamengo so he's getting rest by not playing this tournament lmao.
I don't care until he's in Madrid. Players like Marcelo and Dani Alves were barely lighting it up before they came to Europe and they are without a doubt tremendous. Obviously the transfer amount is pretty obscene but it is what it is. Him being amazing in Brazil and then completely crashing in Madrid is just as much as a possibility as the opposite. He's an afterthought to me right now. Clearly we took a gamble, but i'm not going to sit and think about a player's next week form who can barely vote and drive.
Watched Flamengo's game tonight and he didn't even make the bench. Fla said he was important which was why he couldn't go to the u-17 World Cup. Imo, he should have went to.
Vinícius Júnior vs Fluminense. The €45M kid changed the game as a sub and was a huge reason why Flamengo was able to qualify for the semis pic.twitter.com/uOg0tLWTR5— biff (@biffmila) November 2, 2017
Vinicius Junior among top 12 stars of the future Real Madrid owned Vinicius Junior is among a list of 12 players put together by France Football who are set to be stars of the future. Despite still being based in Brazil, he is already being considered as a player that is likely to have plenty of success in Europe. Marco Asensio is also on the list, along with Kylian Mbappe, Gabriel Jesus, Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona and Gianluigi Donnarumma. The French publication state that both Asensio and Mbappe are already at the forefront of world football and taking LaLiga and Ligue 1 by storm, while the soon-to-be Real Madrid starlet was also singled out. "This autumn the world has been deprived of his genius," they wrote, referring to his absence at the Under-17 World Cup. "He will have many other opportunities to enrapture the world of football on bigger stages than a tournament for teenagers." Top 12 talents Ousmane Dembele (FC Barcelona) Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City) Kylian Mbappe (PSG) Leroy Sane (Manchester City) Dele Alli (Tottenham) Marco Asensio (Real Madrid) Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax) Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan) Mason Mount (Vitesse, loaned by Chelsea) Maximiliano Romero (Velez) Vinicius Junior (Flamengo, signed to Real Madrid) Gustavo Viera (Liverpool Montevideo) France Football justified the investment of Real Madrid due to his wide-ranging qualities, which include "speed, explosiveness, reading of the game, commitment, passing and technical ability. "Vinicius is a combination of the qualities of Brazilian footballers, which has earned him the title of being the 'new Neymar'." As well as the Flamengo youngster, another player included in the list from outside Europe is Argentine Maximiliano Romero of Velez Sarsfield. http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2017/10/31/59f89c8ce5fdea00488b4654.html
Vinicius does it again. Ice cool finish vs Cruzeiro today 🔥 https://t.co/XR7QXn6aTQ— M•A•J (@UltraSuristic_) November 9, 2017 Vinicius to Globoesporte. pic.twitter.com/vtDXAj7F4j— M•A•J (@UltraSuristic_) November 3, 2017
Kid is showing less and less technical skill and ability to beat a man one-on-one. He kicks. He runs. He turnover the ball because of that style and struggles when put under pressure. I dont like him developing into a kick and run player.
De Ligt? Abso -fkin- lutely not, he’s faaaaar less talented. In everything really. Not even similar players btw, but De Ligt is a meh talent. Very overrated, makes a mistake every game he plays and is outpaced by every other random forward. Big no.
For sure that is what I see too from this particular video, nothing much to see there except touch is looking poor, maybe he just had a bad game
Yea, he didn't have a good game last time. But was a difference maker in the previous two. G.Jesus was a kick and run player from the vids I watched when he was in Brazil as well. Thought his style was similar to Bale then. He was older and was a more polished goalscorer then. Won't mind Vinicius having a similar trajectory as G.Jesus.
