I've only watched since I saw Saeta Rubia's post (thanks!), but he's been very involved. It's really open game with Flamengo trying to hit on the counter.
I'm still not totally sold on his touch, but he looked good in the part of the game I saw. He was active, cut into space, made himself available, and finished twice. Hopefully the bit of distress he seemed to be having at the end was just a cramp and he can build on this.
If he keeps this up for a few more months, maybe he'll finally be worth a fifth of what we paid for him.
Pretty much identical. You could say they kid even did it slightly better lol. If his level reaches anything near Romario then we have " and another one" for our future.
Yeah, the kid just did that on the top level of Brazilian football. Even Neymar was older (by months) when it finally clicked for him on this level. The hope is that he continues to consistently grow because if he does, we just got a bargain... in this market we could sell him for double that amount without blinking.
Odegaard was been playing his best stuff recently on the right. Asensio played literally our last game on the left. Vinicius granted. Would love us to invest in a quality young number 9 next.
True about Odeegard but it's only recently and I'm not sure if he has the pace to play on the wings. Asensio is playing on the left but his main position is without a doubt a CAM. Vinicius is a true winger tho.
Looking at the level of defending of the Brazilian league; V. Junior should probably score 20 goals this season. He could've easily had 4 goals last match
His pace is unreal. Once the game slows down for him as he gets comfortable at this level, he'll start making better decisions with the ball.
