Gotta say I love the name. With a name like Vroom, he's just gotta be fast, right?

Well if he is playing right now he must be in a regional league (the A League is on break until August). If that is his facebook page that comes up when you google his name then I would guess he is playing for a NSW Premier League team.

The league runs from February to August and most of the teams official web pages haven't been updated with current rosters.

Vroom returned to Australia and had a great season for Wolves FC in the Brisbane Premier League - led the league in goals, 25 in 26 regular-season matches. Had another goal in major semifinal win and team plays Sunday in the championship game. And added three goals in four Cup matches. So that's 29 goals in 31 matches overall.

Hmmm, sorry. Just re-read the thread, didn't realize he was never "found" last year.

He had 24 goals and 10 assists in 24 matches in all competitions for Wolves in 2010, and finished fourth in league play with 17 goals. The team won the title and he assisted on the lone goal in a 1-0 victory in the final.

He then came back to the U.S. and tried to hook on with a USL Pro or NASL team, but didn't, so he went back to Brisbane.

His brother Shawn is a freshman at Northern Illinois. Steffen grew up in Illinois and went to DePaul, but his family moved to Kohler, Wis. - that's where Shawn went to high school

Sunday's Grand Final was abandoned at halftime due to floodflight failure and will be replayed.

Turns out there are three other Americans on Wolves FC, all from Illinois high schools like Vroom

    Drew Jeskey, Northern Illinois
    Patrick McMahon, UIC
    Patrick Hopkins, DePaul

Vroom scored, but Wolves FC lost to Rochedale Rovers 3-1 in the Grand Final, a rematch of last year's final won by Wolves. Vroom, Jeskey and Hopkins made the Team of the Season

What is the Brisbane Premier League? Where is it in comparison to the A-League is it?

Apparently, there isn't a national pyramid. A-League is top division, then nine regional leagues that appear to all have pyramids -- this is the top league in the Brisbane area.

Jeskey moved to Sporting Kristina in Finland's third tier for 2014, where he was a regular starter. Not sure of his whereabouts in 2015.
